"Married Life"
"I can see the inn!" Naruto blurted. They saw an inn in a distance. Naruto was carrying a bag on his back.
"I think that's the inn Shikamaru was talking about," Hinata muttered.
Two oldies were waving at them. They walked closer and approached the two. Upon their arrival, the old woman spoke.
"Good afternoon, how can we help you?"
They stared at the two oldies in front of them. Naruto grabbed something from his pocket. It turned out to be a piece of paper.
"Hey granny, take a look at this. This is a wedding gift for us." Naruto said and showed the paper to the old woman.
"This ticket belongs to this inn." The old woman replied.
"I see," Naruto muttered.
"Are you two newlyweds?" The old man asked. They nodded as a response.
The two oldies were actually husband and wife. They owned the inn and they managed it together.
"Welcome, and please come in." The old woman said.
They followed them. The old man proceeds to the back door and the three of them stopped at a specific bamboo-designed door.
"This is your room." The granny said and opened the door in front of them. The three of them came in.
"This room is huge," Naruto commented.
"Enjoy your stay here. We'll prepare your meal. Excuse me." The granny said and left them.
Naruto dropped his bag on the floor and Hinata went straight to the windows and opened them. From there, the hot springs could be seen.
"Look Naruto, the hot spring is just meters away," Hinata muttered. Naruto moved closer to her and glimpsed at the sight.
"I can't wait to see the hot spring!" Naruto blurted. Hinata smiled at his cheerful reaction.
A knock on the door interrupted their conversation. Suddenly, the door opened and revealed the granny's face.
"I brought your meal." She said.
"Please come in, granny," Hinata said. The granny came in with a tray.
"I'll just leave it here. Enjoy the food while still hot." She said and immediately leaves them.
"Yosh. I feel hungry. Let's eat Hinata!" Naruto said. Hinata nodded and the two approached the table.
Hinata prepared stuff on the table. Naruto settled down and Hinata poured a tea to the cups settled on the table.
"This smells delicious," Naruto muttered. Hinata stared at him and smiled.
Naruto started picking up stuff from the plates after saying "Thanks for the food". Hinata was silently watching her husband munch the food. Naruto really loves home-cooked foods. He never used to them but eats ramen all day every day.
"I can't wait to dive in the hot spring. Shikamaru sure is amazing for giving us such fancy gift." Naruto muttered. Hinata agreed while she was preparing for the robe and towel they will use for bathing.
"Let's go Hinata!" He told her. Hinata nodded. Naruto immediately leaves the room and went to the location of the hot spring.
Hinata was left alone in the room wearing a robe. She was actually feeling nervous. It was her first time spending the night with Naruto. Although they were already husband and wife, Hinata could not help herself but blush.
She left the room and followed Naruto. Naruto looked like a little child who was so excited to bathe in the hot spring. Hinata was just staring at his back.
He removed his towel and jumped off to the water. Naruto was screaming "YOHOOO!" then a water splash sound could be heard.
Hinata laughed at his gestures. She found it so cute seeing her husband acting like a child.
"Come on Hinata. Let's bathe together." Naruto said. Hinata slightly blushed. She was still hesitating. She was a bit anxious and shy.
"Hm.." she murmured. Naruto tilted his head in confusion.
"What's wrong? Are you okay, Hinata?" Naruto was worried. Hinata shook her head.
"I'm fine. It's just..." she responded. Naruto furrowed his brows.
"Come on. Don't worry. It's just me, your husband. You should get used to this kind of stuff from now on, Hinata." Naruto said and smiled at her.
She had her hands rest on her chest. That was what she usually does when she was hesitating, confused, or worried.
Naruto held her hands. She smiled at him. Naruto moved meters away from her. She started removing her robe and finally got it removed.
She joined Naruto bathing in the hot spring. She felt relax. The warm water massaged their tired bodies. Naruto put a wet towel on top of his head.
"I can't believe Shikamaru would find such a place. I love it here." Naruto remarked and grinned.
"Yes. I love this warm water. I feel relieved." Hinata agreed. Naruto stared at Hinata for seconds. Hinata blushed when she noticed Naruto's strange stares at her.
"Hmm. What's wrong Naruto?" She asked in her soft voice.
"Hmm... You're beautiful when you have your hair tied up, Hinata." He commented and smiled. Hinata's face turned awfully red.
"Th-Thank you." She stuttered and then she looked away.
"Hinata..." Naruto muttered.
"Yes?" She looked at Naruto.
"Are you feeling nervous or anything?" He straightforwardly asked. Hinata was astonished. She was out of words to respond.
She looked away and focused her attention on the water. Naruto was patiently waiting for her reply. She was silent for a minute.
"Actually, yes," Hinata replied. She still had her cheeks blushing.
"I want to honestly speak my mind and heart to you, Naruto. I am a bit nervous. It is my first time spending the night with you well, it is the start of the new chapter of our lives. I am quite prepared for this but I can't help myself from getting nervous." She added. Naruto was paying attention.
"My mind is a bit messy right now but I know everything is going to be fine because you are here by my side." She continued and gently smiled at him.
Naruto held her hand and kissed the back of it. It was a passionate kiss. Hinata could feel his warm lips.
"I promised to love and take care of you in front of my late parents, my master, and to all of our friends. I promised Iruka-sensei to make you happy..." Naruto said and gently caressed her face.
Hinata was feeling the warmth of his palm. She held his hand which was on her face.
"Naruto..." she murmured as she closed her eyes and cherished the moment.
"All I want from you is to trust me, Hinata." Naruto continued. Hinata opened her eyes and gently stares at Naruto's blue eyes.
"I always trust you Naruto the reason why we are here. You changed me, you helped me change myself and showed me the path to who I really am. I am always grateful to you and I always will." Hinata said. Naruto's eyes were cloudy. He was about to burst into tears.
"Hinata..." he said and finally had Hinata's face on his palms. They were facing each other, looking at each other's eyes.
"I love you... Thank you for everything." Naruto said and they kissed.
He had Hinata in his arms. He carried her from the hot spring. Both of them were wearing bathrobes. They were heading back to their room.
The inn's so quiet. The old couple must be sleeping at the moment. Upon their arrival, he dropped Hinata on the bed.
"Hinata, this is the first night of our honeymoon. We should enjoy the rest of the night." Naruto said in a silly tone. Hinata could not help herself but blush upon hearing what he said.
"Hmm.." she murmured.
Silence took over them for seconds. Nobody spoke after that. Naruto was standing in front of her without saying anything. She was silent as well.
Suddenly, Naruto bent in front of Hinata that made her shocked. She was awfully blushing. Naruto's face was just inches away from hers.
She gulped. She could not imagine her face in front of Naruto.
'I think, I look so weird in front of Naruto...' she thought.
Naruto's face moved closer to hers until they were already catching each other's breath. Hinata was slowly closing her eyes without noticing it. Naruto closed his eyes too and once again, their lips met.
They were exchanging kisses. It was passionate and was full of love. Both of them were blushing. They kept kissing until both of them were gasping for air. They stared at each other.
"I love you, Naruto," Hinata said in between her gasps.
"I love you, Hinata..." he replied and kissed her again. His kisses actually melt her heart. Naruto's kisses moved from her lips to her neck. She was biting her lower lip. Naruto kissed her lips back. They were kissing each other's lips again.
The moon was shining brightly that night. It was so peaceful. A very special moment for the both of them as they celebrate their first honeymoon. The couple was heating up after bathing from the hot spring.
A ray of dazzling sunshine woke Naruto up. He opened his eyes. He yawned and looked for Hinata beside him. He could not find her.
"Hinata?" He muttered. The windows were already open. The curtains were swaying like the leaves on the trees.
He stood up and approached the windows. From there, he saw Hinata enjoying the flowers in the garden. Then the old woman approached her. He saw her laughing while talking to the old woman. Naruto unconsciously smiled.
'Every time she smiles, I smile too. She's like my morning sunshine.' He thought.
"Hinata, granny, good morning!" He greeted them while waving his hand. Hinata turned her gaze in his direction.
"Good morning, Naruto." She said while smiling. The two got back inside. Naruto remained standing to where he was and enjoying the fresh wind that touches his skin.
"The breakfast is ready," Hinata said behind his back. Naruto turned his back to her. Naruto walked his way towards Hinata and settled down.
"Yosh, thanks for the food." He blurted and the two started munching their breakfast.
"Thanks for everything, granny," Naruto told the old woman and they both bowed their heads as a sign of respect to her.
"By the way, where's your husband?" Hinata asked when she noticed that the old man was not around.
"He is in the backyard and is checking for the plan--" she was interrupted.
"I am here." The old man said.
"Now he's here. He must be seeing you off. The old woman muttered.
"See you again." The old woman said.
"We'll be back here," Hinata replied. The old couple waved goodbye to them and the two were walking their way home.
"I really had a great off!" Naruto commented.
"Were you happy Hinata?" Naruto asked her.
"Yes. I am always happy when I'm with you." She said while smiling at him.
"Glad, I did not fail Iruka-sensei." He muttered.
"Hmm.. Naruto..." Hinata murmured.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Naruto asked with twitching brows.
"Will we head back straight to our house?" Hinata asked.
Naruto paused when he heard Hinata's question. Hinata stopped as well.
"Nope." He said then started walking again with his hands in the back of his head.
Hinata was confused. Naruto didn't tell her that they have a place to stay after their wedding. Hinata thought Naruto would definitely head back to his old apartment.
She was in deep thought. Naruto noticed her silence but did not say a thing. Hinata was trying to ignore what's on her mind.
'I'll just wait until we get back to the village and see for myself.' Hinata thought. She tried to look calm and okay to not make Naruto worry.
They were having little talks so the journey would not get dull. With Naruto's friendly nature, the journey was not boring at all.
They were finally back. Some of their friends greeted them on the way. Hinata was just following Naruto's path. They were heading their way to his apartment. Hinata confirmed they were going to stay at his apartment.
To her surprise, Naruto turned left instead of going straight to his apartment. She wondered what was going on. Naruto stopped in front of a huge house. Hinata was still confused about what exactly they were doing in front of that house.
"Hmm.. whose that house?" Hinata innocently asked. Naruto looked at her. She had a twitching brow as she was baffled.
"That house? That's our house." Naruto said with a smile on his face. Hinata's mouth slowly opened out in her surprise.
"Wh-What do you mean by ours, Naruto?" She could not believe it.
"I have only paid the half. The rest is on an installment payment basis." He said while grinning and scratching the back of his head.
'So he made a loan for our own house? Naruto you're such a...' Hinata thought and her eyes start to blurry.
"Sorry, my money is not enough to buy the house in cash so, I made the payment on an installment basis," Naruto said.
Hinata shook her head and spoke.
"You're not sorry Naruto. This house is too much for us. You are amazing." She said. She failed to hold back her tears.
"Hinata..." Naruto murmured.
"Thank you, Naruto." She muttered. Naruto smiled at her.
"Yosh! Let's get inside." Naruto blurted and the two of them got inside. Upon entering, Hinata's eyes widened.
They were no such things and appliances inside. It looked like Naruto had not gone shopping yet.
"Sorry, there's nothing much inside. We'll have to go look for things from the store." He said.
"Naruto, it's so beautiful." She said. She went to the living room. It was so nice. She was smiling like a child.
She then proceeds to the kitchen. There was nothing there besides the tray, cabinet, refrigerator, and stove. Hinata then went to the bedrooms. Naruto was just watching her inspect the whole house.
"So, do you like the house?" He asked.
Hinata did not hesitate to nod as an answer to him. She hugged him so tight.
"Naruto, let's go shopping." She suggested.
"Well if that's what you want then, let's go," Naruto said and the two went out shopping.
The two were enjoying going in and out of the stores. Hinata bought some important things first including the groceries. Naruto was carrying all the things she bought.
"Let's call it a day," Hinata said.
"Anyways are you okay, Naruto? I'll help you out." Hinata said with a worried tone.
"It's okay Hinata. Don't worry. I am fine." He said and grinned. Naruto really seemed to have very high energy.
Hinata and Naruto cleaned the house. She found Naruto sleeping on the sofa, he was holding a picture frame. She approached him and watched him sleep peacefully.
"He was so tired, I guess." She murmured. She grabbed the picture frame from his hand. Hinata looked at it and smiled.
It was their wedding photo. Hinata put it on the table and put a blanket on the sleeping Naruto.
After their day-offs, the two were back for work. Naruto and Hinata were sent to different missions. After the war, missions have low possibilities of danger since the greatest threat had been eradicated.
Naruto and Hinata were currently in the Leaf when the exploding humans attacked the village. Hinata helped out with the immobilization of the infected targets and also helped Sakura with the investigation.
As the two were currently living on the same roof, Hinata always prepare Naruto home-cooked foods especially his favorites. Naruto really loves her cooking the reason why he always wanted to go home every day if it was not for his shinobi duties.
Naruto and Hinata were so grateful to each other and they were facing their married life with courage and optimism.
And actually, Naruto was looking forward to the new chapter of their marriage.
