Chapter 36 - An Encounter With The Enemy.

3 months later...

Along the pathway surrounded by gravestones ahead of its flush grave marker, Ted strolled with flowers in his hands as he began to reduce his pace. He got to the front of a headstone marker and dropped a pack of flowers down.

"Ariel, I am sorry that I wasn't able to make it last year..." Ted said to himself, as he held two other packs of flower in his hand." How are you doing up there? Hope you are resting well?"

Ted stood up and took two steps backwards, he let a little smirk by the side of his lips as he looked up to the sky. It was just a few days that were left to make it two years that Denzel left Hilldale.

"Ariel, although it's useless and pointless to say it now, but, to be honest, I loved you so much, probably so much more than you did.

I might have probably let you in on it but, fate just had to do its thing, and it was almost like it had to happen..."

"Ohh... So fun to watch you talk about your love for Ariel..."

'Huh,' Ted thought as he heard a voice mumble just almost behind him, and it sounded really familiar.

In a split of a second after Ted heard that voice, he turned back and saw no one.

'Huh? Am I hearing things?' He thought to himself once more and turned back to face the headstone.

"Ariel, I think I am now insane, I am even hearing things... Haha!"

"Dumbass!" The voice called out again and this time, he felt that he wasn't just hearing things.

"Who's there?!" He exclaimed, trying to get an idea of who had that voice. It sounded so familiar.

Out of a headstone, Someone came out, wearing a floppy hat that could cover her face from her head down to the top of her lips and obviously, it was a lady.

She wore a red turtlenecked cable jumper, which was tucked in bagged pants and black heels.

Ted took a look at her as she slowly raised her head under the hat.

"It's me, Leia."

Leia smirked and walked towards Ted. The fear in Ted's face was quite striking and she smiled as she noticed his fear.

"Nevermind, I won't kill you, not now that Denzel isn't with you," Leia said, giving off a smug smile. She turned back and walked away.

"How have you been since we last met?"

"F...fine..." Ted said, and the flowers that were in his arm had been thrown down already. He was scared. "Why... why are...you here?" He continued.

"Me? Just to see how you are doing." She replied to him as she walked around the cemetery and stopped at the front of a headstone.

"Is... that all?"

"Yes, love." She said, still smirking as she rested her both arms on the headstone. It was Carter's. "Do you know what Denzel said to Carter before he died?"

"N...no"

She cackled for a minute and took a look at Ted.

"He didn't let you in on it?"

"On... what?"

"He was like, 'Carter, stay behind me, you won't end up like Rocco and Ariel... I will protect you from this bitch.' Haha," Leia said, trying to mimic Denzel's voice.

As Leia pronounced Ariel's name, the fear in Ted's face began to change into a furious one.

"Leia..."

"Yes?" Leia looked curious the moment she heard her name.

"Why... why did you kill Ariel? Even when she was your best friend..." Ted's voice increased and it was sounding more annoyed. "Why would you have to kill her!"

"Yeah, I have been meaning to ask Denzel, but since you said it, I'm gonna direct it to you, What the hell is a best friend?"

"Huh?"

"Are you done here, let's have a drink together."

"Huh... How do I trust that you won't do a thing to me?" He said to her and Leia gave him a very harsh look.

"I said I am not ready to kill you yet, don't you understand?"

"I... do..." Ted kept throbbing at the fear he attained from the look Leia gave to him...

Leia and Ted sat opposite each other in a restaurant. At their front, was a little mug of coffee.

"So, Ted, how is Denzel doing, is he still alive?"

"I... don't know about that... It's been two years since I saw him last."

"Ohh, you mean he is lost right now?"

"I don't know about that."

Leia sipped a little tea from her cup.

"You don't want to let me in on it? It's quite fun doing so..."

"He left a note saying he would be back and that I shouldn't try to find him."

All the while why they sat and discussed, Ted couldn't carry the cup at his front to drink the tea in it.

"Ted, why haven't you still drank your tea?"

"No... nothing, I would now..." Saying that Ted took the cup and drank all the tea at once. "Ouch...! It's hot." He said the moment. he gulped it all.

"No one asked you to take it too quickly. Ted, as we did when we were friends, just act normal, I won't kill you..."

"Since that's the case..." All of a sudden, Ted felt he could speak his mind out, and he did, saying, "Leia, why did you kill Ariel?"

Leia took a look at him and laughed, pointing her finger at him. "You do look cute when you lose it. Hahaha... No wonder Ariel loved you a lot, anyone would..." She said as she cracked up.

She kept on teasing him and Ted knew it. It was only funny how he didn't care about the other friends who died, he only got mad about the death of Ariel.

"Well Ted, I will only say I am sorry... And I will have you know that I can't kill you. I guess you should know why... It's only both of us that know the reason."

"I... still can't trust you," Ted said, but he felt relief in him since Leia kept on pointing out the fact that can't kill him.

"So... Do you even miss Denzel?"

"A little... maybe..."

"You do... Well, I would say, I also do, a lot, because Denzel was silly as hell. It's fun making his life a tough one at Hilldale."

Ted felt uncomfortable about the situation with Denzel, he wasn't happy about the whole M.D stuff, he had a feeling that Leia was behind it, but he wasn't sure, since Denzel left that quick all of a sudden with strong hatred in his heart.

It did not take much time again when Leia stood and left, telling Ted to pay for the whole thing.

He did since he couldn't complain to her, and he left, going straight to his house.

"We'll meet again Ted..."

Ted remembered Leia's words when she was departing and wondered if for real, they were going to meet again.
