Six years ago...
"Grayson, I am going to move out from our house..."
"Good luck," Grayson mumbled in reply to what Leia said. They both sat on a garden chair, with Grayson's eyes attached to his cell phone.
"I actually wanna leave for a reason,"
"And why should I care?"
"You should care because I need your help."
Grayson didn't like Leia, they knew each other since they were little so it was only natural for Grayson to know about Leia's guileful attitude.
"Ohh, what do you need now? I think I have paid my debt completely so I don't know what the hell you would want from me now."
"Ohh, that's what you think?" Leia snickered, taking a look at Grayson's face.
That reply got Grayson confused, making him take away his eyes from his cell phone.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, nothing much..."
Leia was known for her manner of blackmailing people with the secret they are trying to protect.
The way she gets to find out their secret was unknown to them, but at the end of it all, she always gets them to do what she wants.
If she didn't have any of their secrets, she always had something she would use as a leverage to make her wish come true
All this Leia did, preventing herself from getting into any form of crisis. Although it was inevitable that she would face a few difficulties, any time she gets into any form of discomfort, her dad, Mayor Creed was always ready to help her out of it.
At the age of 17, she was clever enough to get at least about five people to go to cell for something she executed.
"Leia, I don't know what it is you have against me now, but I am really not in the mood to help you out with anything now."
"Do you even know why I prefer to confront you to help me?"
"Why?"
"Of all the people who have helped me, it's probably only you that is competent enough to accomplish it without getting busted."
"Please, I am sorry but I have to decline."
"You might regret this, you know," She said standing up from where she sat.
She had already taken two steps when Grayson sighed and put off his phone. He knew what Leia was capable of if anyone didn't help her out.
"Leia, I have two questions."
Leia smirked and turned around to look at Grayson.
"What are they?"
"Firstly, what is it that you want to use to blackmail me?"
"Second question." Leia didn't want to answer him, for some reason.
"You won't answer the initial question?"
"Yeah, I will, but let me attend to the second."
"What is it that you want me to fulfil?"
"Ohh, you must have changed your mind," She walked towards him and sat back on the garden chair.
"Just answer me."
Leia stared at him for a while, wondering if she should tell him about any of it. It was like she was trying to pass a message to him with her eyes.
"Hey, use your words.." Grayson shuddered when he noticed that she didn't take her eyes off him.
"Okay then, let's just say I have something precious to you, like, I own something you might need and believe me, you will regret it if you don't help me out."
"Thank you so much, but I believe there is nothing you own that I might need."
"You would regret it, believe me, and as for the second question, I would respond to it when you finally decide to help me."
At that point, Grayson was more curious about what Leia owned than what she wanted him to do. It was very rare for Leia to want to give something. Her request looked more like a deal than blackmail to him.
"Is it some sort of power-up or something?"
"I won't say a thing, you would see it for yourself when you're done with the task." She said, standing up.
"Okay, okay, I accept, what is it."
Leia gave a smug smile and sat back on the chair.
"It's something tough though, I just need you to kill a few people for me, and that's all, I have my reasons for coming to meet yo-"
Grayson didn't even let her finalize what she was mumbling when he placed his index finger on her lips. He never expected that kind of request from her.
Ever since she made him murder one of her old friends when they were young, the madness he displayed made her to never approach him to kill anything or anyone for her again.
Grayson was furious, wondering why she would even come to meet him for that.
"Leia, I am sorry, but I have to refuse."
"You already promised to help me, and if you don't help me, you won't get what I have for you."
"Gee thanks, but I am not going to kill a soul. I would never take a step to kill just because you ordered me to." Grayson was furious, about the fact that she was even bold to approach him for that, after what happened the first time she did.
Remembering the way she fibbed on him in the past made him angrier.
"Ohh, I see that you have turned me into a complete fool that you can walk up to me to ask me for anything you want."
"Grayson, please don't yell at me, if you don't want it, then no problem."
"Want what? What the hell is it that you expect me to assassinate some people before I can obtain it?"
"You don't need to know it if you are not going to help me. I was about to help your life, and what you curse at me?"
"Imagine a bitch like you saying you want to help my life, you must be kidding, like ever since we were kids, can you tell me when you added something to my life?"
"You might think I haven't, but I have and please I am done asking you for anything, your sceptre neck-"
Grayson was already walking away when he heard the word, 'Sceptre'.
A couple of weeks ago, Grayson misplaced a necklace that was given to him by his dad.
Grayson had anger issues and because of that, on his dad's death bed, his dad brought out a necklace and handed it over to him.
"Grayson... make sure to wear this all the time, it is going to help in getting your anger down." His dad told him.
Of course, the necklace was no form of a good luck charm, it was just a normal necklace with a gold sceptre pendant on it.
His dad gave him that to bestow in him a reason to stop his anger issues. He wanted Grayson to believe the chain was something that could change him when it was just his mindset that was doing the work.
When he misplaced the necklace, he did anything he could to get a hold of it, but it was completely futile. Leo, his dad's apprentice and Leia both helped him to search for it but, none of them could get a hold of it.
That was the only thing his dad left him except the house he lived in.
"Leia, you mean you have my necklace?"
"Huh, I never said I did."
Grayson ran back and pulled Leia by the collar of her shirt. He was ready to do anything to her.
"Leia, where is my sceptre?"
"I don't have it with me..." The only time Leia got scared of Grayson was when he got angry. The first time she confronted him, she saw a whole different side of him and Leia was almost killed. That was the last time she saw his wrath.
Leia could only ask him about it because he never got that furious again and also because she felt she was already a lot stronger than him since she always won anytime they sparred. But she underestimated Grayson's anger, thinking it was never going to happen again. It was one that no one must toy with.
"Hey, Leia, do you have the necklace with you?"
Leia saw how expressionless his eyes were and it was obvious that his rage had commenced. She pulled herself from his arm and ran away from him, And Grayson also followed her.
Leia was always more talented and agile than Grayson so she was able to run faster than him.
She ran into the house and went to hide but it didn't take up to a minute for Grayson to find out where she was when he got into the house.
"Leia, where is it? you just have to be a bitch all the time, your dad was already greedy enough to take all of my father's wealth and all I have is that necklace, Give it here." He stretched his hands towards her.
"It isn't me that did that, my dad did, and that happened because that was meant to be. DO YOUR WORSE." Leia said, and those her final words made her regret it.
Grayson rage increased when he heard her comment and he smashed the wall with his fist. The next place his fist went to was Leia's face but she was lucky to dodge it.
Leo ran into the room and saw Grayson's empty eyes, it didn't take long for him to know Grayson had lost his cool.
"Leia, what's wrong?"
"Uncle!" Leia was happy to see that Leo had arrived. He was the one who saw nothing wrong with Leia's plan. She expected him to be on her side.
But, knowing Grayson, Leo knew that for Grayson to have gotten angry, she must have gone to the extreme.
"Leia, what did you do?"
"No..."
"Okay, leave here for now."
Leia obeyed and ran out and the moment she did, Leo called out Grayson's name.
When he received no response, he used the edge of his palm to hit Grayson's neck and Grayson passed out immediately.
After a long nap, Grayson woke up and saw Leo sitting at his front. Leia was also in the room with them and she also saw that Grayson was up.
"Hey Gray, are you up?" Leo called out.
"Yea, I am up, what happened to me?"
"Firstly, what did Leia do to you?"
Leia didn't want her uncle to find out so she interrupted them.
"Nevermind, Uncle, we will solve this by ourselves."
"Okay then," Leo said and stood from where he sat.
"She is with my sceptre," Grayson spoke out and Leo stopped in his tracks.
"Leia, I know I told you I don't care about anything anyone wants, If you choose to be a villain or a hero, it's your life and I don't care, but, That necklace is the only thing Grayson has from his dad, we also both joined him to look for it... that's just cruel."
"Uncle, even you, like, if you are believing this dolt, it just means that no one is by my side and I thought we were always on the same page."
"Leia, I hate it to break it to you, but I was never on your side, I just don't care about what you do. What you did is wrong and that's all. I believe Grayson wouldn't get angry over a premonition." Leo said walking out.
"What's with this stupid necklace?" Leia said bringing it out from her pocket. "All I needed was just help from you, but you are too obtuse to even understand what I mean. This is the stupid toy that your fake dad gave to you, take it and fuck yourself." Leia threw the necklace on the ground and walked out. The next sound Grayson heard was the sound of the door. He didn't say a thing, he only went back to his bed, giggling.
*********************************************
Grayson thought back and he could remember all that happened the day Leia left.
"Say, Leia, why exactly did you get angry six years ago?" Grayson asked Leia, looking at the roof of the house. They both sat down in the ring, facing each other.
