"Baby…cousin…?!" you stared back and forth in awe between Jungkook and the man at the door, Taehyung.

"It's been far too long since we both spoke…" Taehyung spoke with humour as he leaned against the oak doorframe. You were so caught up in admiring his white, ruffled shirt – its delicate collar open enough to reveal the outline of his petite collarbones…that you didn't even realise his stare had lingered towards you.

"And who…who might this beautiful flower be?" Taehyung's eyes twinkled in delight as he smiled at you, before raising his eyebrows at Jungkook in a knowing fashion.

Jungkook cleared his throat slightly, "This is my personal assistant, (Y/N). (Y/N), this is my elder cousin, Taehyung. He's the owner of this establishment" he brushed his shoulder with yours as a way of taking your head out of the clouds. Realising that staring at Taehyung in the way you were was incredibly rude of you – you shook your head and spoke up.

"Oh! The owner – you mean…?" you looked up to Jungkook, seeing him give you a soft knowing smile in turn. "Oh…" it finally clicked with you.

"It's lovely to meet you Taehyung…I absolutely adore your cottage – it's…it's so –"

"Quaint? Exquisite? Straight out of a story book? I know my dear – it's a sight to behold" he chuckled at you, folding his arms in a neat manner. "And – what, pray tell, do I owe the pleasure of a visit from my cousin and his…friend?" Taehyung tilted his head playfully at you both, grinning from ear to ear very coyly as his eyes seemed to glow in the process.

"(Y/N) and I will be attending the fundraising ball together this Saturday. I was wondering, perhaps, if you could lend us your talents in the form of a gown?" Jungkook's voice was deep and melodic to your ears. You noticed that the way Jungkook spoke to Taehyung was quite relaxed in comparison to the way he spoke to everyone else. "It's probably because they're family?" you pondered. Conversely, you couldn't quite comprehend the endearing way in which Taehyung spoke to Jungkook. Usually, everyone that surrounded Jungkook called him 'Sir' or 'Mr. Jeon' – not 'baby cousin.'

Taehyung's smile just seemed to get even bigger as his eyes went straight to you again, looking you up and down in delight. "Oh my, Jungkook" he paused momentarily, before stepping back and opening the door wide. "Do come in – please, (Y/N)…"

You couldn't help but let out an amused giggle at how grand and magniloquent his choice of words were as you followed Jungkook through the doorway. However, Jungkook knew that Taehyung loved to play upon the laws of trust when it came to letting a human into his home-come-boutique. Taehyung thought it quite strange that Jungkook would bring a human woman to his shop, but he was curious as to what his intentions were nonetheless. Of course, Taehyung knew that you were a human from the moment he opened the door – a beautiful one at that. He also knew that Jungkook never associated with your type outside of doing business – making you incredibly intriguing to him.

You found yourself being in complete wonder at Taehyung's boutique – the shabby-chic style of furniture mixed with quirky, semi-suggestive artwork of men that adorned the walls had you captivated from the moment you set foot inside. It was very apparent that Taehyung was a creative and enlightened soul from his choice of fashion, right down to the way he styled his surroundings. You almost found it odd that he was even related to Jungkook – they seemed like complete polar opposites in comparison to each other. Taehyung exuded warmth and friendliness, but Jungkook had a hidden tender side that completely stole your heart any time you thought about it long enough.

"So, the fundraising ball! What a night of excitement you have in store my dear. Tell me – have you ever been to such an event before?" Taehyung addressed you with slight beguilement, as all three of you sat down on the large cream sofa in the middle of the room – you in between two beautiful creatures that you could hardly believe were actual men at this point.

"Well…no, actually" you gave an embarrassed smile as Taehyung crossed one of his legs over the other, laying his arm on the back of the sofa and angling himself towards you as his eyes bore right into yours. "I don't even own a dress, let alone a dress fit for a ball. Actually…before this, we went to the Chanel store in the north side of town? They…they ended up treating me differently because, well, I'm not exactly Chanel material?" you raised your voice in a self-conscious manner, and Taehyung could see the apparent look of disappointment plastered on your face, while also noticing Jungkook as he inhaled distastefully.

"Oh my goodness, why would you go there? Bitches! Every single one of them – I hated them from the moment I saw them. Not to mention the mediocre, overpriced clothes that are sold to masses of sheep. None of the staff that work there know how to sew or use a sewing machine between them! How could they possibly sell 'high fashion'?" he replied to you in a contempt voice - and you couldn't help but feel relieved at his words as you laughed heartily back at him.

"Yes…we ran into a few problems in Chanel. Let's just say, I won't be purchasing from them again" Jungkook raised his eyebrows, still feeling rather terrible about what you had been through. Jungkook's guilty conscience got the better of him as he looked to you longingly, before placing his hand on your shoulder and giving you a sweet, sorry squeeze – to which you looked at him and nodded understandingly. Taehyung watched the both of you beside each other like a hawk, observing how soft and benevolent Jungkook seemed to act towards you – and it certainly piqued his interest.

"Well, you made the right decision to come here! Business is better kept in the family, don't you think so, (Y/N)?" Taehyung winked at you devilishly, making your cheeks burn hot as you became transfixed by his unconventional, yet pleasant demeanour.

"Do you mind if we have some refreshments? I'm quite parched~" Jungkook nodded in Taehyung's direction – both of them passing expressive glances between each other while you remained completely ignorant. Jungkook knew that it had been a while since you last had any form of liquid in your system, and he didn't want you to become dehydrated. He never had to worry about that in regards to himself, but it was something that frequented his thoughts when they were of you – which were more common than he realised.

"Ah – yes of course" Taehyung answered him, leaning his head back as he looked over towards a door at the far end of the room that was slightly ajar.

"Jimin~!" he called out in a sing-song voice, taking you by surprise. "Another one?!" you thought, wondering if perhaps, whoever Jimin was – was another one of Jungkook's cousins.

You watched the door with curious eyes, before seeing a shorter man gingerly creep into the room. As he began walking over to Taehyung – you noticed that he seemed slightly anxious with the way he fiddled with his fingers and held his posture. You couldn't help but try to read his body language as he looked between all three of your faces; never once letting his stare linger on you for too long. Instead, he kept his head down, hiding his softened features behind his silvery-blonde locks. He was dressed in a similar fashion to Taehyung – but Taehyung's style seemed far more flamboyant and authentic than Jimin's.

"Have you met my better half, Jungkook?" Taehyung turned to Jungkook as he took Jimin's hand gently in his. "This is Jimin – he's new…to the sewing business" Taehyung spoke enigmatically with a double meaning – one that Jungkook caught on to; however, you did not.

"It's nice to make your acquaintance, Jimin." Jungkook smiled as he politely bowed his head ever so slightly.

"My lord, I - "Jimin began, but was cut off straight away by Taehyung who stood up beside him, placing his hand on his shoulder and turning round to face both you and Jungkook.

"No need for such formalities when we have other company, Jiminnie~" Taehyung motioned his head in your direction. You thought Jimin's choice of words to address Jungkook were rather peculiar. "My lord?" you questioned yourself, thinking that, maybe – Jimin was just rather skittish being around Jungkook. After all, Jungkook was a man that held an immeasurable amount of power and class. Anyone who was a little scared of him would be forgiven for trying to show him unneeded, copious amounts of respect.

"And this little flower here is (Y/N) – Jungkook's friend~ Say hello Jimin, don't be shy now!" Taehyung beckoned him with his eyes.

"It's nice to meet you, Jimin" you nodded at him in a good-natured fashion as you produced a slight wave in his direction – making Jungkook curl his lips into a secret smile at your natural, charming actions.

Jimin opened and closed his mouth, swallowing a few times and trying to formulate a basic greeting. "H – hello, it's nice to meet you…" he mumbled quietly. You could clearly see he was a little withdrawn, making you feel sorry for him. "Perhaps he has a hard time with strangers? Taehyung did say he was new to all of this…" you assured yourself, trying to take his anxious behaviour towards you with a pinch of salt. You smiled at him warmly – a smile that said "It's okay, I understand."

"Jimin, (Y/N) is here today so I can fit her for a dress" Taehyung turned his head back to Jimin as he circled his arm around his back. "She will be attending the fundraising ball with Jungkook~ so, let's make her a dress fit for her beauty, shall we?" You noticed how Taehyung was actively trying to calm Jimin's inner distress. It was very obvious that they were a couple, a cute couple at that – making your heart feel warmer as you smiled at their skinship shared between each other.

"Oh – I see" Jimin replied, concentrating on Taehyung's eyes as if they could almost communicate that way.

"Jimin is a genius when it comes to rhinestones and other sparkly gems~ Aren't you, love?" Taehyung ruffled Jimin's hair as he began to shower his lover with compliment after compliment. Jungkook couldn't help but let a smile cross his face as he watched them both. However, it was very clear to Jungkook that Jimin was not new to the sewing business, rather – he was new to being a Vampire. It was common knowledge to Vampires that humans who were bitten by Vampires were given the name 'natum lamia' – originating from Latin, translating as 'Newborn Vampire' in the common tongue. Jimin was in fact natum lamia, and Jungkook knew that he had only been bitten very recently. "Did Taehyung turn him?" he found himself wondering, making a mental note to question him later. He was also wary of the other fact that natum lamia are extremely thirsty and skittish in their first few months of being bitten, which left Jungkook angling himself closer to you in a protective manner – just in case Jimin were to lunge for you unexpectedly.

"Jimin, can you be a dear and fetch us some coffee? Oh – (Y/N), how do you like your coffee?" all three men turned to you suddenly, leaving you feel like a spotlight had just been placed above your head. Taehyung knew that Jimin had just about arrived at his limit for being exposed to a human as he kept his hands firmly latched on to him for support.

"Ah…two sugars and just a little milk – thank you Jimin" you smiled at him again. Jimin tensed the muscles in his neck, nodding at your words and trying his best to control his thoughts – as damning and difficult to dominate as they were.

"Run along Jimin~ you can leave the coffee on the counter once it's finished and I'll collect it myself. I'm sure you have lots of work to do out back?" Taehyung began gently ushering him in the direction of the back door, before he disappeared behind it – leaving you alone with Taehyung and Jungkook once again.

"Now (Y/N), if you would be so kind as to stand here for me while I take a few measurements?" Taehyung gestured you forward to him, smiling into your face as charming as can be. Without thinking, you stood up and began walking over to stand in front of him – Jungkook's eyes on you the entire time as he watched you move closer to Taehyung.

"Alright my dear, arms out like Jesus on the cross and shoulders back for me~" Taehyung made you chuckle with his instructions as you followed them immediately.

"Now – oh, may I?" he raised his hands to put them on you, requesting permission before touching you. Even though he wasn't coming into contact with your skin, you didn't feel any diffidence about letting him touch you. Taehyung truly seemed like a warm, genuine person – someone you could trust and depend upon. You usually regarded yourself as a good judge of character, and Taehyung was no exception in your books. "Jungkook was right when he said I would like you" you smiled to yourself.

"Of course…but don't you need a tape measure?" you asked as his hands began skimming along the tops of your arms, caressing your shoulders before sliding down the side of your torso and landing right on your hips.

"Oh goodness gracious my darling – I have no need for a tape measure. It's all up here" he moved his eyebrows up and down at you impishly, "My, my – what magnificent hips you have, lovely and soft~" he turned around slightly to Jungkook with a deliberate look on his face – seeing his younger cousin sitting back on the sofa with a single eyebrow raised. "Don't push it, Taehyung…" Jungkook silently warned him.

Taehyung gave one last sweep to your mid-section before spinning you around to take a brief look at your behind. "Peachy~" he spoke up in reference to your very lovely derrière – filling Jungkook with a certain element of petty envy, even though he knew Taehyung essentially batted for the other team. "Okay (Y/N) – that's you all measured and ready to go!"

You turned around, confusion filling you at how he claimed to be able to take measurements without the use of a tape. "And – you're sure you don't need to use a tape?" you questioned him, seeing him let a crooked smile form on his lips.

"Do you doubt me?" his voice donned a playful-hurt tone as he suddenly reached out to grab your hands. From the moment Taehyung's skin came into contact with yours, Jungkook sat up a little; nervously looking to see if Taehyung would respond in the same way your touch had heavily affected him. Taehyung felt like he had just been electrified in the most invigorating way possible – feeling tingles and small jolts of life pulsing through his entire body…but his face just smiled at you as he cupped both of your hands in his. You shook your head in response to his question, but before you could open your mouth to apologise if you offended him, he spoke up again.

"What soft, delicate hands you have my dear~ You must moisturise them regularly for them to be in such perfect condition!" he said in another sing-song voice, making you blush and smile at his jokingly flirtatious manner. "Come now, take a seat and I'll go fetch the coffee!" he titled his head at you while gesturing back towards Jungkook on the sofa.

You had quickly learned much about Taehyung's life as a dressmaker while you drank coffee with him, how he devoted his life to making not only dresses, but suits as well. In the space of thirty minutes or so, you had fully decided that, not only was Taehyung extremely talented, but he was a genuinely good person who always tried to see the best in anyone; no matter whom they were. "My day started off terrible…but this more than makes up for it" you couldn't help but think. After a few more minutes of chatting, Jungkook told you that you both best be on your way. You stood up slowly, turning to Taehyung to catch his attention.

"Taehyung, do you mind if I use your bathroom?" feeling the familiar sensation of quite literally; bursting to relieve yourself after so much coffee.

"Of course my darling" he stood up to meet your level, taking you by your hand once again and walking you over towards a small staircase at the far left of the shop like the gentleman he always tried to be. "Up the stairs, the first door on the right" he smiled at you as you thanked him and began treading up each step. Taehyung watched you, making sure you were safely out of sight and earshot – before turning around to Jungkook, folding his arms and giving him a questioning look.

"Well now…isn't she precious?" Taehyung spoke softly as Jungkook rose to his feet.

"…you felt it when you touched her…didn't you?" Jungkook's voice turned to a hushed whisper, watching Taehyung walk slowly over to him.

"I did indeed. How could one not feel that? My, my, Jungkook. She is indeed…special." Taehyung's eyes glistened with a crazed look of excitement in them. "At first, I couldn't comprehend why you – of all Vampires, would be so pally with a human…but – I think I can understand now." He flashed a devilish smile – to which Jungkook let out a disheartened sigh.

"Taehyung…I – I don't know what's going on with me. I'm quite confused myself but…I – I think I can…feel. Proper, full blown human emotions because of her…it's like I'm going out of my mind. And not only that, I think…I think I may have possibly developed…feelings for her, too" he trailed off, averting his eyes around the room as Taehyung nodded in response.

"Curious. Very curious…" Taehyung licked his lips pensively.

"But – and I hope you don't think me rude when I say this, cousin" Jungkook looked into Taehyung's eyes apologetically. "But your mate – Jimin…it seems to me that…you both?"

"Are in love? Absolutely" Taehyung finished his sentence for him. "See, baby cousin, that's where your kind and my kind  are supposed to differ. I am humani generis – my ancestors are human, I come from Vampires who were originally humans who were bitten by Vampires. My kind have the potential to unlock our dormant human emotions…and Jimin brought those feelings out in me when he was still human himself. Bu you…you are regium…of Royal Vampire blood – that should not be possible…" he trailed off, deeply lost in thought of how Jungkook could suddenly feel and potentially have feelings towards others – and a human at that. Taehyung knew that something about your touch was remarkable, for he felt it himself. He felt alive – as if he were a perfect mix of having human emotional strength and Vampire physicality's.

"How did this happen, Jungkook? How long has this…between you both, been going on? Have you perhaps…mated with this divine creature yet?"

Jungkook decided to be open and honest with Taehyung. He knew that Taehyung was highly, highly intelligent – though most of the Montgomery's saw him as too eccentric and too four dimensional. "Well…admittedly, I'm ashamed of how it started. She's been working for me for the past 8 months. We haven't mated…but, one night a few weeks ago, she came to my manor and…well – I was bloodthirsty"

Taehyung gave Jungkook a look of horror. "…and how is she still alive?" his expression turned to one of comedic jest.

"That's the thing. I had every intention of…extracting my pound of flesh. I kind of…ended up kissing her to bring her closer to me. But upon touching her skin…I didn't know what it was at the time – but it appears to have rendered me with the ability to feel. I stopped immediately…mind you, I threw a couch across the room and wrecked my lounge while screaming at her to leave…but I no longer wanted to harm her" he admitted everything, laying all his cards out on the table.

Taehyung stared at Jungkook in disbelief. It was unheard of for a Vampire who was bloodthirsty to backtrack and gain full self control – especially within such close proximity to someone who possessed blood as sweet as yours. "Interesting…" he whispered. "What's even more interesting however, is…she appears to be very comfortable around you – even after that incident…"

Both Vampires stood staring at each other in silence, before Jungkook heard rattling in the back room, posing another question in his mind. "You said that you…fell in love with Jimin when he was human? How did that come about?"

"Well…you know that my family disapproves of my sexual preferences…" Taehyung replied with annoyance laced in his tone. "I realised I was gay for the first time in over seven centuries when I met Jimin – admittedly, this was confusing for me in the beginning, too. Like you, I was taught that Vampires were not like humans; in the sense that all Vampires are heterosexual for the purposes of mating…yet, here I am" he chuckled, Jungkook smiling at him in return. Jungkook had always been genuinely pleased for Taehyung to get away from his toxic, unsupportive surroundings. But he found himself feeling rather warm inside now that he knew Taehyung had found someone to love and call his own. All Vampires were taught that mating was purely to carry on the family lineage, not about falling in love or other emotions that humans felt when doing such things.

"Did you turn Jimin yourself?" Jungkook asked, before seeing a dire look of depression fill Taehyung.

"No. I didn't want this life for him" he paused sorrowfully. "I came home last week to find him lying outside at the back door – fresh bite marks in his neck. He somehow managed to find his way back to me from town before he bled out. I thought about…letting him go, to avoid the suffering that comes with eternal life but alas, I love him too much. So, I've been rehabilitating him ever since. But, he's doing so well…" a smile came upon Taehyung's face, yet he was regretful about how everything played out. "I had told Jimin that I was a Vampire, four years ago when we first began seeing each other regularly. He didn't believe me at first and it was hard for him to accept but, he loved me – and still loves me nonetheless."

"Were you able to find out who bit him?" Jungkook asked suddenly, the thought of Taehyung's brother always in the back of his mind.

"If you're referring to my brother dearest…I'm not entirely sure. I couldn't detect any traces of Yoongi on him…but I wouldn't put it past 'the brother who can do no wrong' to come and piss all over my happiness" Taehyung's voice turned cold and bitter at the thought of how his parents always favoured Yoongi over him. Taehyung and Yoongi's parents, Gabriel and Ciella just couldn't accept that one of their own sons was gay. Taehyung knew that Yoongi didn't care much for him in the first place, but he used his parents' hate for Taehyung to his advantage – always getting the finer share of things as a result.

"Have you had any contact from your brother at all?"

"No. Not a word. I don't suspect he will seek me out either. Truthfully, he'd rather die than be associated with the likes of me – not even because I'm gay, he doesn't care one way or another. My brother is just a hateful little wasp most of the time~" Taehyung smiled again, but it was clear to Jungkook that he was hurting inside.

"Jungkook…I take it that (Y/N) is not aware of our lineage?" Jungkook shook his head slowly in response.

"I…have thought about telling her but" he paused, watching Taehyungs face for a reaction, "I fear that she will run a mile. Either thinking that I'm crazy or…that she'll be terrified of me" his voice dropped in a defeated way. Jungkook wanted all of you, but the thing that made him so different to you was the thing that held him back from revealing his true identity. Not out of personal prejudice against humans for he harboured none, but the thought of you possibly rejecting him hurt in the most brutal way possible.

"Oh come now Kookie, it's plain to see that (Y/N) is absolutely besotted with you. I can practically taste the desire that exudes from her" Taehyung raised his eyebrows as he chuckled, watching Jungkook's confused face. "That beautiful creature is in love with you, Jungkook. But the more important answer remains to be known…" he moved closer to Jungkook slowly, his eyes wide and curious.

"Does Jeon Jungkook, the Royal Prince of Vampires, love this human?"

Jungkook swallowed hard, looking Taehyung dead in his eyes as both Vampires heard the door of the upstairs bathroom open – signalling that their conversation was about to be no longer exclusive.

"Yes. I do."

You trotted back down the stairs, letting your eyes fall upon both Taehyung and Jungkook standing near the door – Taehyung deep in conversation with Jungkook about the ball on Saturday night. You didn't mean to take so long in the bathroom, but Taehyung's choice of decor in the room had once again enchanted you; leaving you in complete wonder as you sat on the toilet, observing your surroundings.

"…I'll come over and say hello to the both of you! Your mother and father were kind enough to invite me this year, so I'll be joining you all for drinks and friendly chit-chat~ Ah! (Y/N), you're back!" Taehyung greeted you warmly as you approached the both of them.

"I was just telling Jungkook that your dress will be finished on Saturday morn. Come by – no later than 3pm to pick it up~ I have to get ready for the party too, after all!" he beamed at you as you mirrored his smile.

"Thank you so much Taehyung…I really appreciate you doing this for me. By the way – I forgot to ask, how much do I owe you for the dress?" you asked, having completely forgotten about the price of his service and only remembering it as you went to the toilet.

Taehyung waved his hands in the air, shaking his head at you in response "I require no fee from you dear, think of it as my gift, to you. I have some…special material that I've been saving and wanting to experiment with…and I think it will suit you perfectly" he winked at you before opening the door – both you and Jungkook stepping outside into the early evening air. You couldn't believe how amazing Taehyung had turned out to be, and you were eternally grateful for the kindness that he had shown you, especially after the day you had. You thanked him one last time, before Jungkook told you he'd meet you in the car in a few moments. As you walked down the driveway and got into the vehicle, Jungkook turned back to Taehyung.

"There is more to this, Jungkook. I don't know what it is about her…but she's special. I don't know how or why, but something about this whole situation is too detailed to just be a mere coincidence. I'll do some research and ask some of my fellow intellectuals about this phenomenon. But I will say this…" he leaned closer into Jungkook's ear.

"Protect her at all costs, Jungkook. Whatever happens, you make sure she's safe…do you understand me?" Taehyung's voice had genuine warning and concern dripping from it.

"I will" Jungkook replied surely, nodding at Taehyung as both Vampires straightened themselves up and began backing away.

"See you on Saturday, Kookie!" Taehyung called out cutely to Jungkook as he began closing the door.

"…you know I dislike that nickname you decided to give me all those years back…" Jungkook replied, yet he couldn't help but smile at his cousin's less than mature pet-name for him. Taehyung winked and smiled in turn, before Jungkook turned on his heel – walking back towards the car to join you, alone together once more.
