Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2. ROYALTY

I was still in a daze while the whole thing happened. In my past life I would've already assimilated everything that had just taken place but having this weak mind, it took me some time to realize that a man wearing a black and white robe and was directly above me, was behind the counter attack.

His presence was extremely hard to notice, I didn't even know when he got there but he wore an eagle emblem on his right chest which my father carried on hilt of his sword and center of his shield, I could tell he was from the royal family.

I wasn't aware that the man had already appeared in front of us. My mother was so frozen in shock that she couldn't move and even though being a mere child I could feel the overwhelming power that the man radiated. He could kill us in an instant.

"What a very weak attack but yet powerful they really underestimated us to have thought that even our buildings wouldn't have been enough to handle that attack" the man said. He had long brown hair, with dark green eyes and bulging but thin muscles he seemed extremely young and tall it was quite clear that he was royalty.

"The hooded man is at most a level three cultivator in the upper stage, his power was close enough to mine. They've begun attacking more often lately. You have no need to fear miss Yu, I see you've successfully given birth. We'll have a new strong soldier added to our guild."Actually, I hoped he would grow to become a great cultivator just like the sect leader".My mother said with hopeful eyes."Don't be ridiculous, the child has potential but he'll never be accepted within the inner walls. It's best if he learns and trains with the guards in the outer walls''. The royal said before vanishing in the blink of an eye.

"Don't worry my dear Xian Tian, you'll be the greatest cultivator don't listen to him. One day you'll surpass the duke himself ".Said my mother as little tears started rolling down from her eyes. " If only we had a different bloodline running through our veins". My mother said as the tears that were rolling down from her eyes were no longer little, she had already started sobbing. Deep anger and hatred filled me, for someone who was a royal in his past life hard work and power were what was required to obtain true royalty and respect instead these wealthy bitches only wanted glory. It couldn't have been only him who would have stopped that attack, the royal was just trying to show off to the fellow royals living in the different mansions around his own. All I could think of was how to punch that proud bitch in the face.' what did she mean by bloodline'. I thought inwardly as my mother cleaned her tears as she noticed that they were falling on my bald head. She then carried us into our sleeping chambers to rest for the day. My father was quite angry she had put me in danger like that, nonetheless, he was quite happy we were safe.

Years passed and I turned five. I quickly learnt the current language as it was slightly different from more than five thousand years ago. I had already mastered walking and running even though I fell on my head and buttocks at times. Well, most times actually. I started playing with knives as I urgently wanted to start cultivating. At age eight I had started reading scrolls and books in the huge library which would quicken the learning of my cultivation journey. I had only one motive, to destroy Kirin and reach the apex of the cultivation realm.

Few months after I turned eight I was given a teacher. His name was Alexander Lee, he was young and bright and was brimming with power. He had short but perfectly combed blonde hair with golden eyes, he also had a great build. He served the royal family directly as one of their main guards. "You're quite the child aren't you, you've already read all the scrolls and finished the test I've given you. 'It's not like I haven't done all this before' I thought. Now for the harsh part. "Can you please explain the cultivation journey in detail". I abruptly interrupted. "You keep asking the same fucking question everytime, "Alexander said glaring at me with great annoyance. I just had to ask, in my past life it was also a real mystery, but I knew from the Wizard that trained me that humans weren't initially born with it. I was quite lazy back then so I didn't bother to learn most of the history. "They are no actual details to how the cultivation journey came to be. It's mostly written in scrolls that they resulted from the falling and death of a great being in the immortal realm which led to an outburst of energy in the mortal planes. It enhanced all matter which had existed, and animals ,humans and even plants learned how to absorb it. The energy was termed Qi and people started absorbing the energy. Eventually they gained long lives and some of them eventually disappeared into the immortal realm. Some of them so powerful that even the mortal planes till today still remember them. Some including Jung-hwa or Kirin but Kirin's history is quite unknown. Some say he appeared from a different mortal plane with undefinable power.' I'll say, it was nothing I had ever seen before although not too powerful'. I thought reflecting back to five thousand years ago. "Jung-hwa and Kirin eventually fought". Alexander continued. But Jung-hwa disappeared never to be seen again. Kirin had severe injuries and disappeared. Neither of them have been seen till this day. He finally concluded, I nodded my head and carried my books and scrolls so I would head to our castle till Alexander continued speaking. " Give up on becoming a cultivator your dream will never come true in this sect". Alexander told me clearly and I responded with a cold stare and wicked grin as my red eyes shone brightly in the setting sun. "If I can't become a proud cultivator here,.....I'll just runaway and do it silently, then I'll come back and kill everyone that tried to stop me". I said smiling again and he just smirked and asked "was that meant to be a threat?". I just looked at him with a mischievous smirk and left the room.

As I was heading towards our castle I saw a man with red eyes and short black hair being beaten to the ground. It was my father, and the man who was beating him was a royal. He was an old man with long brown hair, the same dark green eyes and a short beard. From the murmuring of the short crowd that had gathered, consisting of mostly other guards and soldiers my father had unintentionally stepped on the royals long and sparkling white and black robe causing him to slip and fall in the mud. "You ignorant fool" the man said as he continued kicking and beating my father. I stared coldly as my father spat blood from his mouth. The old man was later stopped by a young man with long hair and green eyes too. They were from the same family and the young man was the person who had saved my mother and I from the attack. "What are you doing father leave this retched man, do not disgrace yourself", The young man said. " How dare he, I was heading to see the duke now he has ruined my best robe what an insult from a mere guard your punishment will be such that you won't be able to walk ever again". The man said as he was dragged by his son away from the scene. Eventually everyone dispersed and it was only I and my collapsed father remaining in the courtyard.
