Jay was standing in the corridor out of the girls' apartment, waiting for Sophia to show up.
With everything that went down last night, he did not have time to find out what she and Shiro were talking about, while he was watching them from a distance in his car until Sophia had gone to his car and informed him of Jamie's condition.
And since he hadn't had the chance to ask, he had lost his sleep and had stayed awake out of anxiety, and fear that Sophia might have changed her mind at the last minute and chosen Shiro over him.
'Why is she so late? She finished her lecture an hour ago.'
He thought as he kept pacing up and down the corridor then after he looked one more time at the clock on the screen of his phone, he decided to go downstairs near the elevator and wait at the entrance for a while longer, before he ends up taking the car and going to look for it as he was already thinking of doing.
