"It looks like we two will get along just fine. High five," Dimitra reached her palm out to Christin, Lisa's friend who will be staying at their house for the night that apparently seemed to have similar opinions with her regarding their sour common friend.
"Em, it's the truth? She has a serious addiction" Christin added to her claims that Lisa basically couldn't live without Chocolate and everyone started laughing except Lisa, to whom the statement involved.
"You were complaining earlier that I am bringing a stranger home yet here you are ganging up on me. Anyways I see nothing wrong with liking sweets a bit?"
"A bit?!! That's how you characterize waking up even at three in the morning to get in line at every new patisserie that opens in the city ?!". Sophia gave her a questioning look as she spoke for she surely could not refer to such actions as normal.
"That's beside the point. It's chocolate we are talking about. How about we leave my addictions aside though and focus on the fact that you didn't tell me your friend would come with you tonight? No offence Reina" Lisa flashed a polite small at the girl in a ponytail that had joined them and was seating at a corner as quiet as she could because besides Christin she did not know any of the other girls. They sure were behaving welcoming and friendly with her however she couldn't help but feel out of place.
"Sorry, I forgot I didn't think it through. If it's an issue though we can still go to a hotel. It's just a night anyways." Christin touched her blonde hair as she spoke, searching for some reassurance in her friend's eyes.
"Of course it's not a bother. We were just caught unprepared for your visit that's all. We are perfectly fine with keeping you both." Dimitra reassured them with a kind smile on her face as she couldn't help but put herself in their shoes and realize how awkward this may be. It would be rude for them to not even try to make their guests feel welcome.
"Anna who is in town? Will she be staying with you girls too after you move to your new place?" Sophia decided to address her confusion as they had mentioned her earlier and she was a little lost on the information.
"Anna and I have known each other since we were little and when I told her that Reina and I would be transferred to the University of this city, she offered to help us find an apartment and we would share since she was planning to leave the one she was staying at. Problem is that our calculation went a bit off"
"The house is not ready for us to enter yet. It needs cleaning, painting, and to add furniture and such." Reina concluded Christin's explanation and they all nodded their heads in understanding.
"I see, so from tomorrow you will start cleaning I suppose. If it is on afternoons we are free and willing to give you a helping hand." Sophia offered and Lisa approached her with a smile then whispered in her ear.
"Thank god you are generous cause I had already promised to help them. They accepted to help for Dimitra's project under a favour so.."
Sophia smiled at the others so that they wouldn't think that Lisa was letting her on something mean regarding them, however, that little condition of theirs ticked her off a bit. They were literally letting them stay in their house freely for a night yet somehow they didn't say that as enough of a favour? Some boldness these new girls had, she concluded in her head.
"When you say help, to what extent exactly did tell them that we would?" Sophia murmured back under her teeth, in an attempt to be as discreet as possible while Dimitra was talking to the girls, in an attempt to get the attention away from the two that were whispering to each other.
"They do the cleaning, we do the painting. Of all of their apartment."
"WHAT !! ??" Sophia lost her cool making everyone's eyes fall on her and she just proceeded to flash them an awkward smile after and reassured them that everything was fine despite the fact that she didn't think that it was.
"How could you agree to something like that? I will kill you!" Sofia murmured again with a smile on her lips that covered her agitation as once again Lisa involved them in something without asking them beforehand.
The sound of the doorbell brought to a stop the glare she was giving her friend and Lisa took the chance to escape by running towards the door.
"Lisa~Heyy, How have you been?" Anna's sweet and enthusiastic face appeared before her as soon as she opened the door, which left Lisa shocked for she definitely wasn't expecting her nor the hug she gave her before she made her way into the apartment on her own.
"I'm fine for now, but I do not know how long it will last." She replied to her question despite the fact that no one was listening to her, feeling worried for Dimitra and Sophia definitely will scold her till her ears fall off for this.
The girls start hugging and greeting each other once the bubbly Anna made her way to the living room and thankfully Sophia and Dimitra did not show their agitation in a strong manner. Instead, they welcomed her and willingly or not accepted the fact that apparently she too would be staying over at their house for the night.
To say that they felt as if they were invaded in their own house and lost control of their space would have been an understatement but upon seating all together around the table sharing snacks and gossiping, they came to forget that feeling.
"All complaints aside though. Being in a relationship sounds good. Having someone to be there for you and all. Are you girls in a relationship by the way?" Reina threw a chip on her mouth as she disturbed the chain of complaints towards men that their conversation had led to.
"Well I am not sure if it's a good choice that I am or I am absolutely crazy for being in one but yeah I am happy with my sweety" Dimitra smiled widely as her boyfriend Joel appeared in her mind and the girls laughed at the way she responded making her feel relief for she had managed to completely break the ice between them all and the atmosphere finally felt comfortable.
"You will definitely get to know them well since they said that they live on the upper floor, and we will be moving in the apartment opposite ours. " Anna uttered and her words instantly attracted the interest of Dimitra, Sophia and even Lisa since they did not know this detail.
"Come on !! You will move across, oh wow, why didn't you say that sooner?" Dimitra appeared enthusiastic over having them as neighbours, clapping her hands in excitement and smiling broadly, while Sophia and Lisa just exchanged a gaze and kept quiet.
"A few hours ago she was complaining, that I would bring strangers in here, now she seems ready to come live with you instead... Classic behaviour of Dimitra." Lisa commented in between a giggle she left for she sure was appreciating her friend's behaviour right that moment because it was saving them from appearing rude for nor she nor Sophia felt capable of finding the news interesting or welcomed enough to wake any reaction out of them.
"If you all are single though I suggest you to be careful because you could get swept away by some of the single boys we have around." Sophia returned the conversation back where it was, in an attempt to lighten the mood and tease them a bit as well.
"I do not think so. I have high standards." Reina claimed as she took a gulp from her glass of water looking unbothered and confident in her reply.
"I agree. It's hard for anyone to catch my interest. So we safe." Christin's words brought Sophia and Dimitra to a fit of laughter as they could help but imagine the reaction these girls could have when they meet the boys since the truth was they were all quite good looking.
"Can we get to know their names, maybe? And a short summary on them each?" Anna showed her interest as the truth was that she was somewhat curious to know a little better who those boys were.
"Of course, leave it to me" Lisa found her joy upon hearing that request and stood up from her seat, cleared her throat and mimicked the posture of a weather forecast announcer as well as she could.
"Firstly and most importantly. We have Joel. Ladies, ladies, keep calm, do not push in line, unfortunately for you all, he is taken by the beautiful lady seating at your right. He is a student of the modern dance department, a Golden child and a great friend when he wants of course."
Dimitra smile grew wider while listening to Lisa's introduction for Joel for she found it as sweet as it was funny.
"Secondly, we have Shiro, Sophia's boyfriend. He is studying photography. Other than that he is a blunt heartless piece of trash, whom we still don't know what our blind friend over here saw that ended up liking him."
"Lisa, come on now. How many times do I have to tell you not to speak ill of him behind his back?" Sophia glared at her friend, crossing her arms over her chest in protest for she was getting annoyed by the dislike she didn't seem to shake away from him.
"My dear, do not worry, I speak ill of him in front of him too, we have no issues," Lisa answered her and continued with her show, gaining some laughter from her audience.
"Next is the so-called silly guy, who is not so bad after all. He also studies modern dance and his name is Jamie. Charming with a cute face and a defined body. He is single so feel free to deposit your interest at the front office"
At the sound of his name, Reina found herself choking on her water, which she was sipping on randomly for a few minutes now.
"Are you okay? Take it easy!" Dimitra that was near to her, patted her back in an attempt to help her a bit while the rest looked at her and started laughing.
"Dear Lord, save me now. It can't be the Jamie I know. How the hell could he appear back on my path again? No, no, it must be someone with the same name. That's all" Reina felt the terror flooding her mind since if there was a name and an identity she wanted to erase, that most likely was his for he had brought nothing but trouble in her life.
That innocent cute looking guy behaves politely and friendly with every female he comes across. Yet that perfect man was nothing more but a mare walking sin. A player dressed in the clothes of an angel.
