Chapter 8 - Inspection

However, the effect of this grass herb was common good. And Haman had relied on this to escape death many times.

And it had even once helped him escape from a group of the triceratops.

They were indeed a group of giants. Each triceratops was nearly a hundred meters long.

Every time they stepped down, Haman felt as if the ground had turned into a trampoline.

Most importantly, they were not as clumsy as they looked. Instead, they were extremely agile.

Haman saw that the two male triceratopses were fighting for the position of leader.

They had crossed thousands of meters of distance in an instant, and the two unimaginably heavy beasts crashed into each other.

The resulting shockwave sent Haman flying into the air like a fallen leaf.

It was precisely because of this that the group of triceratopses discovered Haman since they were too large.

They did not notice the ant-like creature of Haman.

Fortunately, Haman used the grass herb to cover his smell, which allowed him to escape.

Since Haman knew that there would be adult velociraptors near the baby velociraptors, he lowered himself under cover of the grass and ran wildly towards the market town.

Adult Velociraptors were nearly three meters long, and the scales on their bodies were almost ten centimetres thick.

With Haman's strength, it was impossible to kill an adult velociraptor.

He had bought the dragon-slaying spike from Chuck at six thousand dollars.

But the adequate killing size of this dragon-slaying spike was only ten centimetres.

In other words, even if an adult velociraptor lay on the ground and let Haman kill it.

It would still take him at least half an hour to completely kill it.

Undercover of the grass cream, Haman only took fifteen minutes to approach the market town.

Lying in the grass outside the market town, Haman panted heavily.

Raising his head and glancing at the sun, Haman estimated that he had returned earlier today than yesterday. It should be just eleven o'clock.

Within twenty minutes, he had to recover his strength and then enter the town to hide from the sun.

If he brought back his prey today, it meant that he had already brought back the target for two days in a row.

Some people might not resist the greed in their hearts and come looking for trouble with Haman.

Therefore, before entering the town, he had to ensure that he had sufficient strength.

There were often robbers in the outermost area of the town. Some of them wanted to rob.

However, some people did not dare to commit suicide because they could not live on, so they indulged themselves and took the initiative to seek death.

Both of these two kinds of people were very troublesome.

After lying in the grass for twenty minutes, Haman slowly stood up.

He walked into the market town as usual, but it was different from before.

This time, the thing in Haman's arms was always squirming.

As soon as he walked into the fence, someone was staring at him as if they wanted to know what he wanted to do.

Haman knew him. He was the one-eyed Wolf's subordinate who specialized in finding big profit. Haman had got on with him many times.

As he walked on the shabby streets of the town, Haman could feel more and more people staring at him.

"This time, I'm afraid I won't be kind," Haman thought.

Then he walked faster and faster and wanted to enter the cave area. It was not within the one-eyed Wolf's sphere of influence. At the same time, he was forcing the one-eyed Wolf to make a decision as soon as possible.

The faster he acted, the fewer people of the one-eyed Wolf would gather, making Haman more confident.

There was still a hundred meters away from the cave area. And Haman could already see it.

Outside the cave area, two stronger people were blocking the middle of the road. The one-eyed Wolf finally acted.

At this moment, the crowd behind Haman suddenly burst into whispers.

Haman turned around and faced the crowd behind him. There were about twenty people.

A few of them were the one-eyed Wolf's subordinates. The rest were just some ordinary greedy people.

"Look, what's in his arms?"

"That's the beast that the guests want! Haman captured it alive."

"As long as we hand that beast over to the nobles, we can go live in the brick house!"

There were more and more greedy words as they spoke, which instantly made everyone excited.

Haman could see that these words were said by the subordinates of the one-eyed Wolf mixed in with the crowd.

To ordinary people, it didn't matter if these words were actual or not because they didn't want to live anymore.

If it were true, then it would be great so that they would have a chance to enter the brick district and have a good life.

And it didn't matter if it was fake. Anyway, they didn't want to live anymore.

Looking at the crowd charging at him, Haman pulled out the dragon-slaying spike.

Although he was much stronger than the ordinary people, it was still difficult for him to remain uninjured when facing more than twenty people.

Once he was injured, he would most likely be infected on his wound. That would be truly fatal.

Facing the crowd rushing towards him, Haman only put down the meatball in his arms and cut open the layers of overlapping ropes.

Then he used the dragon-slaying spike to slash a long wound on the back of the Velociraptor Cub.

The Velociraptor Cub, which was already very upset, became even angrier.

Haman had already charged towards the crowd.

Only one person in the shack area could afford a dragon-slaying spike that cost six thousand dollars, and that was the one-eyed Wolf.

In other words, before the one-eyed Wolf arrived, this velociraptor cub was invincible.

Haman cut it on its back to make it angry and use its prey to deal with the enemy.

At the same time, the wound on its back would continuously make it lose blood, which would make it exhausted.

After charging into the crowd, Haman disappeared like a fish in the blink of an eye.

Squatting on the tree, Haman remained calm as he watched the massacre below.

He had been used to this scene for years.

When the homeless people faced the dinosaurs, they all looked so angry.

They knew that it was the dinosaurs that made them hide in the market town and accept exploitation.

At this moment, the homeless people and the dinosaurs were surprisingly similar.

Since they only knew how to attack and didn't know what pain was.

The dinosaurs would never get hurt, while the Wanderers didn't care about death at all.

"So, once humans are pushed to their limits, they become wild beasts?" Haman muttered to himself.

Perhaps a few years ago, he was just like these wanderers, who were utterly unconcerned about death, just like wild beasts.

The massacre below ended very quickly because neither of them escaped from the battle.

Only a few one-eyed Wolves' subordinates immediately ran away when they saw the velociraptor cub.

"Da." Haman jumped down from the tree. "Enjoy your sleep. That'll be enough."

Haman looked at the Velociraptor Cub in front of him, covered with whole blood, which belonged to itself and others.

As the Velociraptor heard the roaring sound, it turned its head to look at Haman. It recognized that this was the person who had captured it. Then it used all of its strength to let out a final roar.

Then, it weakly fell to the ground. It had lost too much blood, causing the beast to fall into a coma initially at the top of the food chain.
