Chereads / I have to Love You (English Version) / Chapter 29 - Past story.

Chapter 29 - Past story.

The atmosphere is dark but accompanied by bright street lights. The yellow light reminded me of my togetherness with Jebran. I looked up at the sky that seemed to sparkle with stars scattered everywhere. It emits a twinkle light that never fades during the night and, the clouds don't cover it.

I'm got down and saw the street. My hand that had been holding the car keys and was about to get into the car.

"Emira, let's go home first," said Susi.

"Uh, see you later!" said Arga.

"Emira, go home! Don't daydream," said Rendi.

I turned to each of my good comrades. They left me in an already deserted place. Follow by Gilang waving at me and entering the same car as Arga and Rendi.

I rushed to get into my car. But someone walked up to me.

"Emir," he called.

The voice sounded familiar to me. It was a little suspicious. But, I recognized and spontaneously turned around.

"Dylan," I said.

He bowed resignedly right behind me, about five meters from me. I straightened my body, watching him dumbfounded. I was worried about him, so I approached.

"Dilan," she whispered to him.

He lifted his chin slowly. In his left hand, he holds a gun that he has not kept. I covered my mouth in shock.

"You??!" I hissed.

When he began to realize his hand was holding a small gun, he quickly put it back.

"Oh, I'm sorry," said Dilan as he put a gun into his jacket pocket.

"Where are you from?" I asked curiously.

"Are you looking for your sister?"

Dilan approached me and hugged me with a feeling of sluggishness quietly. I was stunned by what this friend did to me. I feel a little awkward now when his body approaches me, but not like intimacy, but deep resignation, and I read his dim eyes.

"Are you okay?" I glanced at him was still weak.

His hands did not hug me, then let go. I straightened him up, and I saw his whole restless expression without an answer, "Tell me! What happened? Did my father threaten you?"

"I-I...."

"Me," he said falteringly.

"Dilan, let's tell the truth!" I insisted.

I pulled him back to the position of the chair on the side of the road. Right in front of the grilled meat restaurant, prepared a chair on the front side.

I slowly invited Dilan to sit together.

He still had the same look of uneasiness and was looking down. He began to move his mouth, "I have to find my sister."

"Tomorrow afternoon, he asked me to go there alone," said Dilan, taking my hand and squeezing it.

I turned to him, "Y-you...."

"Dilan, I'll help you," I decided.

"I'll come with you!"

Dilan turned to me, then shook his head, "See you later!" He stood up and hurried away from me.

I, who was just stunned, didn't have time to shout at him whose way was like running. This guy has been a little weird ever since I started being awkward with him. Ever since he did that to me, well, since he stole my first kiss and I turned him down, I can read the look on his face.

Dilan continued walking on the side of the road, then disappeared at the intersection. I turned around frustrated and didn't know the answer to Dilan. Suddenly I was shocked to remember someone, "Jebran!"

I stopped and looked up at the front of the street as I remembered his name. I immediately reached into my small bag to reach for my smartphone. I looked for Jebran's name on the screen and called him.

Jebran: "Hello."

Me: "Where are you? I have something to say!"

Jebran: "I'm at home, but I can come to see you. Just wait at home!"

Me: "But, I'm not at home."

Jebran: "Then tell me, where are you?!"

Me: "I'm in front of the grilled meat house, not far from the office."

Jebran: "Okay, wait for me there!"

Me: "Hmm, well. See you later!"

I ended the conversation on the phone while waiting. I return to the chair that had been with Dilan. I ducked and waited.

In front of the luxury apartment door, Jebran descended the stairs to the parking space. Jebran hurriedly ran to his car. Jebran glanced at the watch in his left hand. It was already 20:15 WIB and, he pressed the gas pedal and drove at high speed.

Judge Jebran's face. A little tense and serious looking at the street. His eyes were so focused on arriving not far from his office.

When he arrived at the edge of the street, he saw a restaurant starting to look crowded. He parked the car on the side of the road and looked for me.

I ducked while staring at the contents of my cellphone screen. Someone approached and screamed.

"Emir!"

I was stunned by the loud voice that came from Jebran jogged towards me. I quickly got up from my seat.

"Jebran," I said.

The two of us finally met and looked at each other.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Dilan's in danger," I said.

Jebran had been a little tensed up earlier and now started to narrow his eyes at me. He approached and said, "Dilan, where is he? He is a Policeman. How could he be in danger."

"Something happened to his sister and, my father threatened him," I explained.

"Your father?" he grumbled.

"Wait! Come on, let's sit down first," said Jebran.

I and Jebran are back in the same position as Dilan. Jebran began to glance and turned right next to me.

"Emira, I'm a new person who came into your life, but I don't understand your situation. However, I want to protect you from people who have made you sick," said Jebran.

"I'll tell you everything," you said.

Jebran glanced left and right, then turned back to me. "Will it be safe here? Should we go to a park not far from there," said Jebran.

"Hmm, fine!" I broke up.

I entered my car while Jebran went to his car. We ended up moving to a place not too far from there. And the position is very close to our office, right at the back of the building. I was looking for a seat that might look safe and comfortable. Jebran took my hand and led me to the right chair under the yellow light.

He sat down and followed me.

"From the start, I wanted to hear your story. I don't care who you are! But, I hope you can explain it to me," asked Jebran.

I looked at him and began to tell the story with one gulp of my saliva down my throat.

"The beginning of the story...."

"My father was a ruthless and obscene mobster. His behavior was very invisible when I was a teenager."

"I am someone else's target for him to sell. By selling me, he will get a high position because he has succeeded in bringing his son to his big boss who is overseas."

"But, my mother asked for help from Dilan, while Dilan did hold a grudge against my father. However, he did not mean any harm to me, and in the end, he managed to get me to escape from my father's arrest."

"My mother and I moved from Lampung five years ago. And you know that Jordan is my uncle."

"Dilan is looking for the ill-fated older sister that might happen to me if I had stayed there."

"I think his older sister is near my father at the moment. But, I'm not sure either."

"My father has taken the lives and virgins of many young girls. I also don't understand what my father wants."

"Riffat, Dilan's sister who is now a prisoner to frame Dilan," I explained at length. I have tears in my eyes too. Don't let me shed those tears again in front of them.

"What does your father want from Dilan? There must be something your father wants from Dilan, I'm sure of it!" call Jebran.

I looked up at the face of Jebran suddenly said so. That's all I know about my father, the rest I never knew because my mother forbade me to find out.

"I have to figure all this out," I decided.
