"Dilan," Fredi whispered again.
"What, what's wrong?" I asked curiously.
Jebran and I looked at each other when Fredi showed his sad face. I was sure that something bad had happened, but I didn't want to hear about it. I covered my ears, "say it!" I glanced at Fredi approaching us. Now, he began to glance slowly at me and Jebran in turn.
Suddenly ....
"Hahaha," he chuckled. Instantly his laughter filled our ears. "What kind of joke is this?" I thought to myself.
"Whoa, what's wrong?!" Jebran growled.
"Dilan is safe!" Fredi said with a happy expression.
Suddenly my hand flew towards his arm strongly. "You nearly knocked me out, Fred!" I grumbled as a burst of laughter broke out just like that.
"Sorry, sorry. I did it on purpose, because I was a little annoyed looking for you everywhere, but couldn't find it," complained of Fredi.
"Where is he going?" Jebran asked.
"Let me take you," offered of Fredi, turning around.
Fredi was a little serious, but behind his fierce face tucked a joke that could make other people touch. So, that's a friendship. We don't always take the problem seriously, sometimes we play with words to warm the atmosphere. I feel like I'm back in those days. The time when I was still wearing a gray white or dark blue white uniform.
I shook my head while following the steps of Fredi and Jebran who were getting close. It seems that Jebran has a mask behind all of this. However, suddenly a premonition struck my heart.
He didn't make a sound, but whispered softly. "Does he really like me? He can act cool, but can it be a matter of the heart?"
I shook my head again hoping that never happened. I don't even have the experience of love. For me their love is the first. And I wish love first to last.
Jebran turned to glance at me, "Emira," he called.
"Yes," I said simply.
I was almost away from them, finally his voice made me call to go faster.
We arrived behind the door of a special room alone. Behind the door, Dilan was seen lying and fast asleep. "He was awake for a while, but he fell asleep again. The doctor said he had to rest a lot first to recover from the operation," said Fredi.
"Then let's go home! It's late at night," Jebran said to me.
"Then who will take care of it?" my bitterness.
"You!" Fredi to the point.
"I?!" I even pointed to myself.
"No need, you just go home. There is a nurse here, tomorrow morning we will visit her," Jebran prevented from pulling my hand.
"Hey!" Fredi shouted looking at me and Jebran leaving.
Seen from the look in his eyes, he seemed to have a strange feeling about our relationship. "I think they are very close, are they dating?" Fredi scratched the back of his head, then glanced back at Dilan's room who was fast asleep.
"Then, let me take care of them both," Fredi said.
He finally decided to visit Dilan while keeping his sleep. Fredi glanced at Dilan's tired face. "For a while, I will be the mother to you and your sister at the same time. Tomorrow, you must thank me." Fredi looked for a place to lay his tired body. From inside the bright room, he darkened the whole room so he could sleep soundly.
***
In the car, I'm still in the same position. Beside me sat a man named Jebran with control focused on the street. I almost dropped my head into the car seat, but I managed to calm myself down.
"Why? Are you sleepy?" Jebran asked.
"Oh, no-" I said.
"Sleep! I'm a good person, so don't expect to worry," Jebran said occasionally glancing at him.
Turns out my eyes are dimming faster than I thought. I almost snored beside the wheel of Jebran. My eyes can't take it anymore. This sleepiness froze in an instant. Jebran's words finally calmed me down and fell asleep. This is how I am. I can hold my sleep until late at night. And I must be deprived of sleep. To the extent that I sleep wherever I am?! I fell asleep on the table, I fell asleep on the chair. And now, I'm sleeping in Jebran's car.
Jebran shook his head while laughing a little watching my sleep that opened his mouth. "Haha," he chuckled softly.
"Emira, Emira. It turns out that if you sleep is very dangerous. How can you not? You sleep wherever you are. But, what if you sleep in a stranger's place, especially in a gathering of mashers," Jebran almost angry.
"Ah, no, no! This can't be happening." Jebran kept driving slowly so as not to disturb my very deep sleep.
Really! My eyes are very hard to open. However, the breeze of the air conditioner provides a cool feeling that feels like floating around. I even started to enter the dream world.
Jebran parked his car beside the gate of my house. I heard the faint sound of his screams. "Aunt Maila!" Jebran shouted.
I shook my head a little, but couldn't hold back my sleep. Someone is slowly carrying me. I was very sleepy, but didn't realize that someone was taking me for a walk. I hugged Jebran's neck tightly. My lips chewed wildly near his shoulder. However, my eyes still wouldn't open.
"He's asleep, Auntie. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take him."
"It's a long story," Jebran said.
"Yes, please take him to his room, okay?" my mother asked as she closed the door.
"Where's the room, ma'am?" Jebran asked.
"That," my mother pointed out.
Jebran still carrying my body firmly. Up to the room, he put me slowly. "Turns out you're heavy too," Jebran to complained.
My mother came into my room, "Jebran, please close the window, okay. Auntie will make food for you."
"Ah, no need, Aunt," Jebran squirmed waving.
"It's late, you must be very hungry," my mother said.
The bedroom door closed, Jebran held his stomach and said to himself. "I'm really hungry, ma'am."
Jebran noticed the rest of my room which looks a bit messy. He closed my bedroom window tightly. His eyes were a little curious as he glanced at a veil covering something. He slowly checked the corner of my room.
He pulled the veil slowly. A wheeled board with two posts like a blackboard. "What's this?" he asked.
Jebran ventured to turn the board over and was slightly taken aback. Two names of Dilan and my father were written clearly on the board. A line shows the name Mona Sandiara. Jebran frowned as he watched my steady sleep.
"Apparently he was looking for it," muttered Jebran.
"Uuuh..." I said in my sleep.
My body turned sideways and embraced the warm bolster. Immediately, Jebran closed back the board he had seen. However, the position is not like the beginning, but a different position. This must have made a strong suspicion if I remember from the beginning I put it.
Jebran stepped and came out of my room. Slowly closing the door again.
"Emira is just like that, she always sleeps wherever she is."
"But, Emira can choose a place to sleep. If she is asleep like that, it means that starting from her sleeping she has made her comfortable," said of my mother.
Jebran approached the kitchen and sat at the dining table. A fairly delicious dinner dish was neatly arranged on the table.
"Eat, Jebran! Auntie really appreciates you." My mother put all the bowls of chicken soup, and some stew meat in front of Jebran's empty plate.
"Pour the white rice," my mother asked.
"Thank you, Auntie. I'm just bothering you," complained Jebran.
"Jebran, may aunty ask you?" said my mother who sat opposite him.
"What is it, Miss?"
"Why don't you come home to your mom and dad so often?"
My mother's sudden question made her feel uncomfortable. His expression suddenly changed as he chewed the food.
