Chapter 1 - Prologue

The world is darkening.

Taking a few steps north, I stumble on the ground, laying on its soft surface, struggling to stand, I decided to roll a bit until my back hit on something solid.

Curling up to bear with the dropping temperature and fear, calming my breath, then as I inhale, a strong stench reach my nose, my breathing cut off, coughing to relief as I choke on air.

That's when I heard, I gasped holding my mouth to stop any involuntary noise, a sound of liquid slowly dripping, a creak of wood, I look on the direction I was running away, a shadow seen from the last sunlight, as it disappear into nothingness, then footsteps, slow and light, but heard on left ear press against the ground.

I search around but it's too dark, I can barely see any outline.

I kneel on my knees to slowly stand up, grasping my hands together, close my eyes, with a small breath I pray "Help me, please"

I lift up my head with small hope

And then, saw a hint of light, following it, on closer look it's a door knob. Hesitating to enter, but then I hear that the footsteps behind me closing in, it's now faster, I flung the door and enter, locating a way to lock it, but then…

It flung open, throwing me a few feet away from it, shaking from fear with my breath ragged, I slowly face what has been following my, as I look up, light shines up close its face, with mean eyes that glows that froze my whole body.

I lost…there is no way out,

Closing my eyes, I hear it scream, I cover my ears for comfort at least there is one.

It hoist my whole body and carried me back, there is no point of resisting, and it's too loud to even take my hands off my ears.

Each steps were taken back to the dark place, the shouts are clamming down, but the echoes of movement resonates to my covered ears.

Heat of the light felt on my skin, the sounds got louder and more echoes bounces, without hesitation…

It dropped me…

I'm underwater? It's bright… warm.

Every single senses are going away

It's relaxing

I let it drift me away.
