Karto's POV
Kick ass is exactly what Alexia did. Abril hadn't learned from the tip I gave her of saving her energy. She tired herself out and got knocked to the ground by Alexia. Alexia had made into the final five. I still felt bad for Abril. But she exploited my abilities for her own gain and I was forced to break her from the curse sooner than I had intended.
But when Alexia hugged me I glanced at Abril and she looked angry at us. Well I was just happy that I wasn't dragging her soul by a chain. Alexia seemed like she was attached but she is still her own person. But now the real fighting begins. The Alphas were next, the count was 8 including me.
My first fight was against a dude that was more buff than me, but the same build. This match was a test of strength against you opponent. A bell sounded and my opponent was wrestling me towards the ground. This wasn't my type of fighting. He had his arms grasped around my waist and he began to tighten his grip. I began to wince in pain, and I found myself lifted up and slammed to the ground. He had me pinned I had to think fast, but my thoughts were jostled as my opponent began to slam me on the ground repeatedly. In a split moment I slapped his ears to buy some time. I shook my head clearing the fog. He was still slightly dazed. Guessing that werewolf ears are more sensitive than normal.
I grabbed him behind his legs and gave a good yank causing him to faceplant to the floor. At the same moment I pinned him. He began to fight back by giving me a elbow to the side then one to the face. It should have made me faulter and let up but I held him down more aggressively and placed my hand on the back of his neck.
The whistle blew and the match was done. Headmaster's voice boomed over the loud speaker, "Karto moves on to the next round!!"
My second opponent was one of Johnathan's buddies. The match was to test agility when being attacked by ranged weapons along with archery skill. I was first to evade shots.
The objective was to evade as may dummy arrows and reach the goal by parkour. I heard a starting gun and no sooner had I stepped an arrow whisked my nose and I rushed to the parkour and had a arrow streak toward my knee. I a split second I drew my sword and deflected the arrow back to it's sender striking him chest. My opponent proceeded to fire a barge of arrows. I had one strike me in the back and I reached the goal. I turned around and grabbed an arrow that was directed to my face. I know it is done in movies and some anime, but doing it for real is very different.
The Elder that stood next to me asked a Ref, "Was that recorded?"
The Ref nodded and motion the Elder to follow him. I got off the finish and walked to the archer's position. I waited for me to be told to start, but Headmaster called out over the loud speaker, "The results of the round have been calculated. Both participants have received one hit. Now begin the next round."
