Abril's POV
I was excited to have someone to train with. I have watched Karto fight and it is way more skilled than even my own trainer.
Karto held out a granola bar to me, "But first put some food in your stomach. Never do intensive training without it. Never heavy just light."
I raised an eyebrow, "Why?"
"From my experience, eating a light meal before a fight gives you the energy you need and when you take a gut punch you a less likely to throw up."
It made sense to me I watched Karto stretch his muscles as I ate my granola bar. It was gone in a minute.
"Now Abril how do you want to spare with me?"
'In bed!'
"Sorry?" Karto chuckled. I had said it out loud! I blushed beet red and place a hand over my eyes, "Look Abril, I'll be quite frank I will take that as a compliment."
I looked at him, "A compliment?"
He nodded, "Now granted we are currently friends but you can never really know what can happen between friends."
That made me feel less embarrassed. I asked him, "Have you had thoughts of me too?"
He looked at the ground and replied as he looked back up, " Yeah..."
We stared into each other's eyes for several seconds. Karto broke the silence, "Well give what you got and I'll make a bet with you!"
"Ohh. Sounds like Karto is getting daring! I'll be in my partial wolf form kind of what you saw last night. Now what is you bet?"
"I bet that if I win you answer my questions about mates. If you win I will do your bidding for a whole week."
"I feel that I might get something out of both sides." I snickered, my wolf was making me get excited. We were practically asking to sleep with the other. The sparing match wasn't going to take place in the back yard, but somewhere in the woods.
