Chapter 7 - Chapter 6- Alpha Human Pt.1

Abril's POV

At Timber Hills High I was talking with a new girl, when I heard raised voices.

"What is all of that commotion?" I called to the Beta.

"Some kid just got pushed by Johnathan! Sounds like the kids going to get a beating!"

I groaned, "The school year has even started yet and there is a fight already."

I strode to the group of students and heard sharp humming. People stepped back and I see my mate with a bleeding lip and a red bruise on his right cheek. Johnathan was frozen in place with a bluish-silver sword pointed toward his throat. My blood boiled, my mate had been hurt. Out of rage I yelled, "JOHNATHAN!!"

Everyone flinched, except for Karto, who continued to hold his sword outward at Johnathan. I walked up to Karto and lowered the blade, "Karto, lets put this away okay."

He put it in its sheath without hesitation, his eyes still locked onto Johnathan. I turned on Johnathan and barked, "What the hell is your problem!?"

"What the shit walk-" he started.

"Shut up! I don't want to hear it. You have pissed me off!" I pulled him closer and whispered, "Especially since he is my mate you asshole."

I let go of his jacket and walked to Karto who still continued to stare with his brilliant green eyes.

"Hey are you okay?" I asked him. He looked and me and sighed.

Karto's POV

I sighed, I had no other ideas on how to stop the fight. So I answered the best I could, "I'm a little shook up but I'll live."

"Well let's get you to the nurse she'll patch up," Abril sighed.

"Nah it's okay I'll be fine. I have felt and looked worse."

"She'll make it look like it never happened."

"Trust me I'm alright. Let's catch up with the group and to the orientation."

Abril nodded and we walked toward the gym.

"I see you are wear ears and a tail too."

"Do you like them?" Abril asked.

"Yeah, they look so realistic." I said and went to touch them, but Abril strafed away from me.

"You'll know why shortly," Abril spoke shyly, "what they are."
