Chapter 57 - |Perfection can be An Illusion|

--Kim Young's Point of View--

"Smiling depression and Concealed depression have a lot in common just like the diversity of Anxiety, Trauma, etc."

Seokjoon-noona described and elaborated on the topic but I didn't understand a thing.

'Things seem to be normal too.'

We happened to see her at this flower shop, ending up in another free therapy session but this time, it isn't just about Sora...

Nor were we the only ones around at the moment.

The other customers around us were also paying attention as our older friend shared a little bit of her knowledge on this particular issue of society.

Awareness is a must in our time.

"You never know, maybe someone who you think is completely bright and fine might be going through something like a mental breakdown on their own which may lead to any of these things." she finished.

"Honey Lou, the happiest and most positive submissive girl has issues?" I verified and she nodded at me in return before purchasing a bunch of cosmos seeds to plant on Yun Oh's private island.

In memory of an old friend she misses very much, in addition to that, she also bought some marigold seeds as it is Honey Lou's favorite flower.

"Why bother planting those? It's not like you'll see them grow over time." she rolled her eyes and left me hanging.

We were also trying to convince our other friends to come and join us on the summer trip but they constantly refused.

Too bad, they will miss out on a lot of fun things to do this break.

Though I wonder if there is going to be a surprise or something, perhaps an unexpected plot twist to spice up our experience there.

"There they are!"

Sora was rushing already when I heard her squeal upon seeing our friends.

I was about to leap over to Ji Eun's side, however, Haesu immediately held onto my hand and asked me to move our things on the yacht as quickly as I could so that we wouldn't have any more problems.

"I am gonna need you to do this, make sure to use your organizing skills to fix it all, okay?" she placed down the rest of the luggage, giving me a light hit.

Leaving me alone in one of the rooms with all of our stuff and our friends' before shutting the door on her back, and meeting up with the rest of them.

"Need a hand?" I heard a voice while the door creaked and opened wide, exposing the true love of my life, lending me a hand to finish this task and finally get some rest and time to bond with her.

--Author's Point of View--

"Should we just go ahead and leave the rest who are late?" Min Oh held his hands in his pockets whilst running around the streets to kill some time.

Waiting for no one but for the sake of his friends.

"You guys can go on inside and do whatever you wish to do, I'll wait here to welcome the others." Yun Oh shooed them away as he patiently waited for someone.

In particular, Honey Lou was the only one he had been anticipating to arrive even though he invited a couple more of his friends to pick on the other ones that he had for fun.

"Well, well. Hello, dear friends!" Shin Haru along with Moon Hyunjoo on his left arrived with a bunch of other students from their rival school riding motorbikes as well.

"What are they doing here?"

Kim Sihyeon was baffled at the sight of them while fuming in anger as she glared at Yun Oh, they were supposed to be partners in keeping the flow of destiny.

"Just be grateful, will you? The private island is mine, the yacht, and all the things you'll need to enjoy your trip." he whispered to her since she was right beside him.

He greeted his closest friends and led them inside before returning at the back of the yacht on the deck.

Meanwhile, his friends looked at him piercingly without stepping a foot inside.

"Calm down! I made a deal with them not to mess with you, okay?" he laughed it off, thinking to himself that things would eventually go the way he wanted them to happen, confidently forgetting that anyone could argue with him.

"If you say so."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Don't you just love the blowing wind tonight?" the sun settled down and the yacht's lights were all turned on, making it very bright and the mood was calming with all the yellowish lights that enveloped the darkness surrounding the ocean.
They had departed from the deck already, heading to the private island which would take about 6 hours to reach.
"It is refreshing along with this sweet cocktail!" Jin-Ae, the younger sister of Haru was also there, the students from the Knowledgeable Internship School of Seoul, or as people call it KISS in short, drank most alcoholic drinks since few of them were already legal.
On the other hand, Sora and her group were practically spending their time to sleep.
They thought about it, and there is nothing better than saving their energy to use on settling on the private island, thus, staying indoors and away from the bad influences.
"Does she have a plus or will she end up picking 8 cards?"
Miles Cha was roleplaying as the host or speaker while Song, Byungchan, Jihyun, Dan, Sookyung, and Yeonju played a game of UNO.
"Dang, you!" the girl didn't have anything useful in her hand, having only a no. 4 green card and a no. 9 red card, denying her delayed victory as she shook her hand and picked up 8 random cards.
"Okay, okay! It is my turn."
Sookyung shouted amidst the chaos of laughter and teasing that was happening after Jihyun lost her chance to make a comeback.
"Life isn't all about fun and games, you know?" Sihyeon threw a tennis ball back and forth on the ceiling as she lay flat on her back in the middle of her chosen shared bed with Ji Eun, the rest of them didn't mind her statement.
As it wasn't that big of a deal to hear her explanation anymore, they felt like their lives had already been falling enough to care.
Except for one person, no one else seemed to be bothered by Sihyeon's words and asked about what she had meant to say.
Honey stared at her for a while, they made eye contact but the girl wasn't aware that Sihyeon was looking back at her, they broke it off as soon as Dan sprung up from the ground where he sat and kissed his last card good luck.
Resulting in an unbeatable win against the other five of his friends.
"Pay up! You all suggested this and there is no way I'm letting you off the hook." the blonde-haired male celebrated with a huge grin on his thrilled face.
Not giving a care in the world as he took the handful of bills from their hands.
"Money, is that what you what?" Byungchan checked to verify, remembering that he was in possession of Yeonju's jar of coins which they both put aside only for this very occasion.
The sound of coins shaking against each other surfaced inside the room where the group stayed in, he handed it over to Dan while his eyebrows were tied in a knot.
"Very funny! I am keeping this now, thank you." the blonde-haired boy held onto his stomach and exaggeratedly laughed at two of his friends.
Gently taking the jar of coins forcefully Byungchan tried to pretend as if he wasn't annoyed by this reaction, smiling blatantly after losing grasp of it.
"Eheh..." Yeonju shook his head.
--Honey Lou's Point of View--
"Honey Lou!" a voice called for me as I got up from my seat, everyone's attention seemed to have been placed on me for who knows what reason...
I looked around to pretend and figure out which one of them spoke.
Finding it to be Sihyeon.
"Hmmm?" I slowly sat down again while looking at her blurry face, wondering why she called me and ended up getting all the others' attention on the both of us.
"I just wanted to ask, are you okay?" she questioned me with a bit of ignorance in her tone though she intended to check up on me, however, it isn't easy to admit it.
'The fact that a girl like me feels sadness and loss...' I have a perfect life, I have everything, and I am everything that anyone would want to become like.
And yet, I am still unhappy.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be fine?" I laughed it off and told them that I felt okay, or at least, that's what I believe to be the truth.
But the real question is, would anyone think that I'm not fine?
After all, it doesn't feel like I'm making it obvious. "Or is it just me who thinks it is?"
I doubt that they can notice it, especially with all the other things going on around us, and with them reaching out this suddenly is a surprise to me...
'Shouldn't I be the one reaching out though?' I am the one who knows everything more than they do about me, myself, and I... Honey Catherine Lou.
The thoughts came to a stop when I overheard someone from outside the window as I locked the door from inside the washroom, speaking on the phone by himself.
"Haven't I already asked you for consent? I can't do anything now that we are in the middle of the sea, heading to our family's island." the voice continued.
Sounding a lot like Yun Oh.
"Me? Rebelling against you, Dad? You know that I would never dare do that!" he answered very politely yet provocatively.
'That is true, who would be daring enough to rebel against the people who clothe, feed, and groom you?' he ended the call after a long silence.
And before I knew it, the sound of a weak splash occurred.
"A rebellion, huh?"
