Chapter 58 - |The Result of Ignorance|

--Jay Hwang's Point of View--

"Do you mind? I have someone that I need to meet."

Seokjoon-noona hung up on the call before I could even respond, it felt like the more I reached the start line, our relationship was already at the end of the path.

"I guess you could say that some people are driven away from us." hopefully, it doesn't happen to me, and since those years would just be considered a waste.

"Some relationships aren't meant to last forever." my friend's words were hurtful but true, honestly, I am quite in shock that she knows how it feels.

Although, she has never been through any of this.

"You've been together since day one."

"Before you ask, it is only a hunch. You know, something that one can notice when the time comes." she was lying on a massager chair with her eyes shut, speaking facts.

'I know that this is no joke.' it will come to an end soon or later.

"Tell me, has Kim Young mentioned anything to you?" she asked whilst glancing at me as I massaged her hand, it sounded like she was keeping herself from faltering in front of me, she doesn't have to anymore.

"After this, I know that you'll grow without him and get over the past."

I gave her a vague but obvious reply, knowing that stating the answer in a straightforward way would only make things even worse than it already is.

"At least one person is honest to me." her voice began to weaken.

Suddenly, the door burst open once the silence fell upon the air.

"Have any of you seen Lou?" Yua came in asking with Hyunjoo, Song, and Sora behind her, attentively waiting for an answer.

Haesu, on the other hand, kept her eyes closed as she made a remark.

"Do you see anyone else with us?" she calmly helped them realize the obvious.

"What are you guys on about this time?" she wondered with her eyebrows meeting each other. "Honey Lou is nowhere to be seen, when was the last time that we heard from her??" Daniel Austin came barging inside the spa room.

"If you wish to find my sister, how about checking the bathrooms? She loves hanging in those when we're in the ocean."

Haesu stated with her hand motioning them to go away, soon after, they all agreed to go through each and every single washing room on the yacht.

Sungyeon-hyung entered the room when the young ones left the area.

Entering the spa room alongside Kim Young, Ji Eun, and Jihyun. "There they are!" the group exclaimed with their hands in the air, except for Sungyeon-hyung.

"What is it this time?" my friend sat up from the disturbance, facing the others behind us while I simply held onto the massaging chair, wiping my palms with a wet towel.

"Chill, we're just here to enjoy some peace and quiet. After all, Daniel and the others have been like that since dawn." Ji Eun ignorantly waved her hand.

Signaling that she had no intention of ruining the atmosphere.

"You are silent."

She added upon noticing another girl's figure behind the tall guys.

"Jihyun followed us, feeling out of place around the others after another incident happened." our second older female friend spoke once more before sitting on a massager.

"Uh-huh. Help yourselves." she laid back down and glared at me for taking too long.

"What are you waiting for? Go on." I applied some oil again on my palms, resuming what I was told to do, in the first place, I sighed at the thought of it.

When will she ever learn to respect me?

'I am older than her, including most of our other friends.'

"And do you have any problem with me?" finally, she yawned for the first time that day.

"Alright! At last!" I washed my hands for the 4th time today.

Carefully departing from her side.

"You aren't finished yet!" I could still hear her yelling from the outside of the spa room, walking victoriously from being her slave.

--Moon Hyunjoo's Point of View--

"Lou!" Yua called for her friend, leaving me near the pool, it was fine with me for a moment until... "Moon~" her voice was in high pitch again, making me feel uncomfortable and annoyed but who am I to argue?

'I am an irresistible being.' she was sitting on a foldable beach chair, and a light bulb suddenly lit up above my head, figuratively speaking.

"Any change of heart?" she asked me out of the blue, triggering my laughter.

"Hey, Jin-Ae!" Sora greeted my friend's sister as she ignored my presence, they both chatted while Jin-Ae magically forgot about me too.

'Well, that is a first.' their discussion went on for almost an entire hour, and for that whole time, I could only sigh upon hearing the girl talk.

"Should I excuse myself? Never mind, I can leave if I wish to do so." Sora bid me farewell as the words left my mouth in less than a second that passed by.

This made me question if I still had a chance.

"Seriously?" I now think that I am the one who should be asking if someone specific has a change of heart... "Leave."

Shin Jin-Ae, the girl who used to drool at the sight of me, is demanding that I leave them both alone. "Strange."

But is this not a good sign?

"If my constant rejection of her caused this, will it not work the same way for me??"

"Talking to yourself again? Let me guess, self-appreciation time?" Song came out of nowhere when I leaned on the side of the yacht, using this opportunity to decide whether or not I confess my feelings to move on easily...

"Do you think that confession would help me? And even you?"

I asked him without putting any of our time to waste, seeing as the girl from a few yards ahead of us, made me realize such an option when it comes to love.

"I don't follow."

'Up until now, he continues to deny, deny, and deny.' to be honest, who wouldn't?

Our conversation was interrupted when the sound of Daniel Austin's voice surfaced, people were rushing to a certain place in the yacht below this floor.

"Song! Hyunjoo! Can you both go into my room and get the first-aid kit?" Jay-hyung's call had us in a hurry, panicking and worrying about the commotion.

"Over there!" Haesu pointed at the medicine box mounted on the wall of Jay-hyung's room which he shared with some of his other friends, Song quickly headed to the side of the bed and took out everything we possibly needed.

--Author's Point of View--

"We've looked everywhere, and we still can't locate her! How long must you be this selfish??" Sookyung raised his voice at his older friend, Dan, figuring out what his deal was about telling Yun Oh that Honey Lou was missing.

"Ugh..." the blonde-haired boy immediately attacked the locked door below the top of the yacht, searching for another person this time, giving up on his stubbornness.

"Hey, you! Are there any other bathrooms around here??" he asked.

"Not that I don't know of." the taller male ignorantly spouted back at the disrespect that Dan was showing him, but then.

"This is not really what I would normally do, however, Honey Lou is kind of nowhere to be seen." he gave in, softening the tone of his voice to lower his pride toward his friend.

"Catherine? I haven't seen her since the departure."

Yun Oh's eyes widened at the thought of it, remembering the fact that he briefly saw a girl's figure in the dark, the night before.

"That person was wearing a neon top as well!" his words made them feel a sense of hope in finding their friend, thus, following after Yun Oh as he ran outside.

"Why are you so tensed?"

Min Oh had some sense of empathy as he noticed his friend's actions, they arrived at the floor where he saw someone enter last night, thinking to himself.

"She was holding something." he mumbled, almost inaudible.

Sungyeon had an idea in his mind, going around the floor after pushing the younger male away from kicking the door open because if ever the girl inside the washroom did something like what popped into his mind.

It would be more dangerous to force their way inside the room.

'I think she went rogue.' Yun Oh was heavily concerned and frustrated, walking back and forth while his friends attempted to get inside using a different method.

"We're here! Did anyone get hurt?" Jay Hwang approached them with Song and Hyunjoo, causing the rest of them to wonder how they knew about what happened to Honey Lou.

"How did you know?" Yua was there to ask this as the others were too busy banging and calling on the door, everyone on board was informed about Honey going missing but not once did they mention or confirm her getting hurt.

"Sihyeon told me that there was someone injured down here though we didn't realize that you guys were also aware." his answer had them feeling regretful for ignoring her words.

"She knew about Honey's disappearance? Where is she??"

--Song Ji Eun's Point of View--

"Isn't it very hot today?" Yeonju kept on shaking his sleeveless top while taking a sip of his cold pineapple drink, leaning on his girlfriend's shoulder as the rest of us laughed about things that didn't even make sense anymore.

"I know, right? But why aren't any of us taking a dip in the swimming pool?" Shin Haru joined the group as he left his own clique.

"Tempting."

I answered him in a joking way, perceiving that he was somewhat seducing me.

"How about instead of flirting around, could you perhaps make me a banana smoothie?" Sihyeon gazed at the two of us, reminding Haru that he was in charge of the bar.

"Woah! Hold on, there." Yeonju put his hands around the waist of his girlfriend, feeling a little threatened at the idea of letting some stranger give his girl a drink.

"Who knows? You might be planning something again." he stood up in refusal.

'I envy this friend of mine, she is clearly blessed in this life of ours.' she smiled at me when my thoughts seemed to have mentioned her.

I may or may not have forgotten about her being a so-called seer.

"Eonni! Ji Eun." a crying girl called for me, here we go again.

"What happened this time?" I questioned her, worrying about what the other people would think, this is surely one of my embarrassing moments.

"I'm trying to avoid them but... Why does it still hurt so much?"

She told me about her concern.

"I know how you feel. Listen, think of it this way. What if she wasn't here?" I comforted her while poisoning the mind of a poor and pure soul.

Trying to come up with another strategy to get rid of Honey-girl from the picture.

"Any idea?"
