Things were now getting better between us, and I spent most of my waking hours at his place. He had been given paid leave for his recovery, and I spent most of my days at his place, taking care of him, and just spending time with him.
One fine afternoon, his phone rang as we were in the garden, he tending to the garden, and me, busy doing some coding.
I brought his phone over to him, and he checked his phone and said,"Its from my dad."
I nodded at him, having already seen the caller's name on his phone screen, and continued with my work. I wondered why he had called Joshua today, of all the days.
"Yes dad, Issy's here as well, and I'm recovering quite ok",I heard him say, and after sometime, he added,"Sure dad. I'll see you soon."
"Dad wants to come by tomorrow, and he wants to meet you as your future father-in-law",he said, and I nodded, without thinking much, but after realizing what he had said, I stopped with my work, and looked at him questioningly.
