Once I came out of the cabin, I let out a breath which I didn't know I was holding in. Being in the same room as Joshua's mother, left me on tenterhooks, and I was only too glad to be out of the room.
I wondered if her animosity towards me was only because of the fact that she was under the impression of me being pregnant with Joshua's child.
I went down to the hospital canteen and ordered two coffee for the two of them, and some cookies, hoping that Mrs. Williams wouldn't scorn at me for bringing her cookies from the hospital canteen.
I wanted to take my time to go back to the cabin but since I couldn't afford the coffee going cold, I headed back for the cabin.
"Joshua, Elizabeth is the one for you. Why don't you realize how much she loves you and cares for you? She comes from a well respected family as well, and only she is deserving to be your wife",I heard her mom say to Joshua when I reached outside the cabin's door.
