"I'm so glad you're awake now Joshua. Don't ever drive recklessly and get yourself into accidents like this", Mrs. Williams said as soon as she saw that Joshua was awake and ignored me as she went to where Elizabeth was, who was still holding his hand and by his bedside.
To her, she said, "Poor Bethy, you need to take care of your own injuries as well."
As she was fussing over Elizabeth, Joshua's father came to me and said, "Ms. Issy, you're in your first trimester and rest is crucial for you. Why don't you sit down at least?"
I was not surprised that he knew I was pregnant, but what he said next left me gaping.
