"This is our home. Come in," Enzo said.
They looked around. The house was big enough for three people.
When will I buy a house like this?
After exploring the house, all of them sat around a table in the hall.
"What's the plan?" Levi asked.
"Simple, we will explore the forest on top of the mountain. They normally live in the innermost part of the forest where the sunlight doesn't touch the ground.
"Let's go then," Levi said, getting up from the seat.
*
"This place is creepy," Levi said, hiding behind Hina.
"Look for footsteps, they must be passing through the forest at this time," Enzo informed.
"What if we are attacked by some other kind of monsters?" Levi said stammering.
Enzo took out his sword and lifted it up pointing towards the sky. "Enzo will protect you all," he winked at us.
"Master, you are so cool," Evy and Nora said in unison.
"You are like a hero," Mello asserted.
I feel I'm embarrassing myself with these questions. Why do I get an indication that I failed myself as a MAN?
After searching for quite some time they found nothing.
"I'm tired," Daisy said.
"We have been searching since morning, where are those creatures?" Levi asked, frustrated.
"How do you girls manage with a guy like this?" Nora asked.
"Our life is nothing but hell with him," Mello sighed.
"It's been a while since we began our search though," Hina said.
"How can you guys be so calm? Follow me. It's been a while since we began our search WHERE ARE THOSE DAMNED CREATURES? Like this," Levi explained.
"There's something wrong with this person," Nora said, opening her eyes wide.
The next moment they heard loud noises coming from the right side of the forest.
"Quick! Climb the trees," Enzo ordered.
A few moments later a horde of ogres was passing below them taking huge steps and leaving their footmarks on the ground.
"They look ugly," Levi said.
"Where are they going?" Hina whispered.
"Who knows. They are dangerous and in a place like this we are totally outnumbered," Enzo replied.
After the horde passed they got down from the tree.
"We can't fight those monsters alone," Levi declared.
"Are we not going to follow them?" Mello asked.
"Looks like you want to die a little early," Levi replied.
It started heavily raining and the wind got cold. Evy used her magic and created a shield that saved them from getting wet.
"Let's get back for now," Enzo suggested.
*
They returned back to the house. It was getting dark after spending the whole day in the forest.
"Let's have dinner first," Enzo suggested.
All of them sat around a table. The table was filled with delicious food.
"Let me feed you, master," Evy and Nora said in unison and started feeding him.
Damnit! He's too lucky.
Levi turned towards his gaze upon his teammates.
"Don't even think about it," Mello said.
"Even if you are the last man on earth, I won't feed YOU!" Daisy announced.
They are too honest with themselves.
*
"This is our bedroom," Nora said.
The room had three beds.
"Even though we have three beds, I and Nora share with our master. So, just throw this bastard out of the room," Evy said looking at Levi.
What the hell? Well, nothing can be done.
Eventually, Levi was kicked out of the room with a blanket.
Sleeping on the sofa doesn't sound bad. Agh! That bastard is sharing a bed with two beauties. No, no, no, but this is making me jealous.
Levi tossed on the sofa a few times and eventually sat as he couldn't sleep.
Maybe I should go for a walk.
He came outside slowly, making sure he didn't wake them up.
The outside climate was cold and it made Levi shiver. He started walking in the streets of the brightly lit city.
Looks like shops are open till midnight.
He made his way to the nearest juice shop.
I have a gold coin, a juice might be one or two silver.
Thinking that he entered the shop. As he sat on one of the chairs, he spotted a boy around his age being bullied.
He walked up to them.
"What are you doing?" Levi asked.
"What the hell? It's none of your business," the stranger said.
Levi clenched his fist and looked at them with his sharp eyes.
"Huh? Will you beat me?" He said, cracking his fingers.
"Let's not fight now," his friend inferred. "He owns us one single gold coin."
"Wait, just a single gold coin?" Levi asked to make sure what he heard was correct.
"Don't underestimate the value of a gold coin. You can buy dozens of beverages worth of it."
Levi looked at his one and only gold coin and handed it to them with a sigh.
They laughed at Levi and went their way.
Levi turned his gaze towards the boy and said. "You can go now."
He looked at him. "Thank you." He said and ran away.
Levi came out of the shop and made his way back.
As he slowly entered inside he spotted Hina sitting on the sofa.
"What are you doing here? Go to sleep," Levi said, sitting beside her.
"I heard some noise, so I came to check on you. Where did you disappear?" Hina asked.
"It's nothing,"
"Why don't we pay a visit to the forest if you can't sleep?" Hina suggested.
"That creepy place?... Let's go," Levi said.
*
"It's even more creepy at night," Levi said once again hiding behind Hina.
"The footsteps have vanished due to rain," she said.
"It's what happens when it rains. Common sense," Levi replied.
"If ogres live in the forest then they must know everything about the climate here. Which means their hideout is somewhere near," Hina declared.
"Come on Hina, the weather can't be predicted," Levi responded.
As they were talking out of nowhere something came flying at their way.
"Watch out!" Levi shouted, pushing Hina out of harm's way.
Levi fainted after the impact.
