Progue is a city of constant rain, with no official governing party, the city was ran by an organization called the Eyes. They made sure everyone chipped in and there were no freeloaders. After having been in Prague for a year, I feel as if I am no closer to my goal. I thought I could find answers within the school here, at least for my unexpected abilities but my current mentor, Long Bo, hasn't been able to help much. At least the architecture is pretty, a nice break to be able to paint them, well when I can find a dry spot at least. This never ending rain sure puts a damper on the mood. Currently, Long Bo and I are sparring, recording the effects of my abilities. In the middle of our training, I see another teacher approach us, two people in tow. An elvish man and a small human girl, so tiny and cute with hair of vivid red. The elf is not much taller, I can tell he is not a fighter most likely some kind of spell caster, his hair was very pale but his features were handsome and sharp. " Ah Long Bo, how does your student fair?" The other teacher gestured towards us. " We have had no breakthrough in discovering the control behind her abilities' ' Long Bo bowed his head as he answered. "That's what I'd figure, but lucky here one of my most gifted students has agreed to help miss Windwalker '' the teacher said with an air of relief, I wonder what made them so worried. " Hello, I am Wei Windwalker Kohkomthena, you may call me Windwalker." I bowed, I towered over the pair. "Hello, I'm Castor Lapis." Spoke the elvish man, nodding his head. " I'm Marilyn'' the smaller female chriped, waving up at me." It appears as if my mentor here would like me to take you under my tutelage, but I'd like to warn you first. If you would like to join us, my party, it would be very dangerous. We have had losses and you risk your life joining us." He spoke seriously, and the girl next to him lowered her eyes sadly. " I understand what you say. I do not fear death, I must find answers to a vision I was given as a child. If following your group into danger gives me answers, then I will go." I spoke. Castor nodded his head," Alright then Windwalker, it's a pleasure for you to join us, we are currently conducting an investigation within the city. Please come with us and I can debrief you on it." I nodded and began following after the pair. "Castor,"Marilyn began," can I go look for my brother first, I wanna see if he is in his dorm." "Of course Marilyn, but I would like to speak with another teacher first." Castor responded, looking down at her. " I can go with her, so she is not alone." I said, looking towards the small girl. "Are you sure, it's gonna be pretty boring." Marilyn mumbled, peeking up at me through her lashes."Not at all, it would be great joy to accompany such a cute girl." I stated, smiling at her. "Oh stop." Marilyn blushed. "Well that works for me, I would prefer not to leave you alone Marilyn." Caster nodded."Alright, we can met back up at the fountain once we're done, sound good?"Castor asked."Da, sounds good to me." I agreed. We parted ways, Castor heading towards the libraries and Marilyn and I to the dorms. " So, you're pretty big l." Marilyn said, craning her neck to meet my eyes. " Da, I am nine and a half feet tall, average size for my kind." I chuckled back, her eyes wide. " You're like the tallest person I've ever met, and I met an orc guy who was like huge." Marilyn continued, slipping excitedly as we walked. This small human girl was a ball of sunshine and energy, a real mood lifter in this dreary city. It wasn't long before we reached the dorms, Marilyn bouncing forward to knock on a door. After a moment, there was no answer, so I reached forward and gave a firm knock that echoed through the quiet building. After a moment shuffling could be heard before the door swung open, to reveal a mop headed young man, groggily rubbing at his eyes. "Uh Hi! Is Erik here." Marilyn piped up, looking around the man into the slightly messy room that had books and papers strewn about. " Uh no, he's out for his work shift. Who are you?" The man asked, exhaustion evident in his voice." Oh sorry, I'm Marilyn and this is Windwalker, Erik is my brother." She said, smiling at the man. " Cool, I'm Chad his roommate, I'll let him know you stopped by." He responded before shutting the door. " Do you know where your brother works?" I asked, looking towards Marilyn. " Yeah, with the eyes. We are supposed to be going to the nest later so I'm sure I'll see him there." I nodded and began following her towards the center fountain. " So Windwalker, you're like really strong right?" Marilyn asked, glancing up at me." Da of course, one of strongest in my clan." I announced proudly, flexing my arm muscles for show. " Are your strong enough to pick me up?". She continued to question, slyly looking at me from the corner of her eyes. I smiled and held my hand out to her, she immediately placed both her hands in mine. I lifted her with ease and spun her a bit while we walked. Her giggles and laughter hung around us like a cloud, bringing smiles to passersby at our antics. It was a short walk to the fountain, I had pulled out an umbrella on our walk to help keep Marilyn dry. She slipped merrily beside me, humming a tune as her arms swung at her sides. Before long, I spotted Castor at the fountain umbrella in hand. " Hello, were you able to speak with your brother?" Castor asked, looking towards Marilyn." No, his roommate Chad said he was working so we'll see him at the nest probably." Marilyn murmured, obviously slightly disheartened at the delay in their reunion. Standing at the fountain, I heard a disturbance down a street not too far away. We all turned to see a small man riding a bear and people near them fleeing. Two more taller people stood close by, one appeared to have their head int hair hands. " Oh dear, what has Dario gotten up to." Castor muttered, a crease forming above his brow. The small man hopped down from the bear as two Eyes began approaching, the bear then took off towards the forest. It did not get far before being speared down by the Eyes, it's body disappeared in a puff leaving no trace. After some communication between the people, the small one and a slighter taller one left with the eyes and the last person made their way towards the fountain. Coming into view, I immediately thought this must be Marilyn's brother, they looked so similar. " Lynn!" Castor yelled, waving his arm. Lynn began approaching, but slightly hesitated after seeing me. Lynn was decently tall and very slim, definitely no warrior, and had red hair with bright green eyes. Castor looked from Lynn then to me and cleared his throat." Yes, Lynn this is my new student Windwalker. Windwalker this is another of our members Lynn." Caster introduced. " Greetings, I am Wei Windwalker Kohkomthena, but you may call me Windwalker. It is nice to meet Marilyn's brother." I smiled. " Ah, yes umm, nice to meet you as well Windwalker, and I am actually not Marilyn's brother although I do see the resemblance." He answered, rubbing his head. " Yeah silly, my brother's name is Erik, remember." Marilyn chimed happily. " My apologies, were those other two also with you, the one with the bear?" I asked, curious on what just transpired. " Well, yes. Apparently Dario got a hold of a magical bag that can summon animal companions and he summoned a bear named bandit." He explained, looking slightly ruffled at recounting the tale. " Well, I suppose they brought him to the nest then?" Castor stated. Lynn nodded and Castor began leading us towards the nest. After another short walk, we arrived at a nice tavern. There was no sign out front, but the whole city knew who it belonged to. Entering, I was able to get a good look at the two from earlier. The tall man had brown hair and eyes, unkempt stubble growing on his face. He appeared to be a very able warrior, I knew I would have no easy time sparring with him. Next to him a short halfling man sat, lighter brown hair but darker eyes than the one next to him. His facial hair was slightly better kept, but he too was no fighter like his companions next to me. He waved from the table when we walked in, directing us to the seats around his table. " Castor, Lynn, Marilyn over here." He announced, drawing attention from some nearby patrons. We approached and Castor once again cleared his throat. " This is Windwalker, my new student, Windwalker this is Dario ( he gestured to the short one) and Amar'e ( towards the tall man) . She will be joining us, and she has been made aware of the dangers and is eager to help us. " Castor finished. " Privet, I am Wei Windwalker Kohkomthena, you may call me Windwalker. I am most excited to be working with you going forward." I said, bowing slightly towards them. " Hi, I am Dario Manifeco of the Manifeco family!" Dario stated proudly, standing in his chair. Amar'e simply nodded his head in greeting. " You are very adorable Dario, so small." I reached down and picked him up, he was so light. Lifting him to face level he looked a little panicked. " Aw please put me back down, I am not good at heights." He said fearfully. " Deepest apologies Dario, I was overcome with your smallness that I behaved rudely." I said as I placed him back down. " It is no problem, but please ask before going forward." He nodded, straightening his clothes. " Alright, now that we're all here, time to go over our mission." Castor stated quietly, sitting in a chair. " Windwalker, we will be meeting the the head of the eyes, his name is Roman. We originally came to this city on a job from the Aris trade guild, meeting with Roman will help us on that job hopefully." Castor finished, looking unsure. I nodded, as the the barkeeper came over with her hands full of keys. " Your rooms have been covered for this night, but not after." She informed us, setting down six keys. " You wouldn't happen to have an extra large room would you?" I asked, looking down at the puny keys. She only shook her head no and strutted off behind the bar. Dario, Lynn, and Castor each took a key, and bid from us goodnight and promised to reconvene here in the morning. It had began growing late, so it was understandable they were tired. I sat with Marilyn and Amar'e in contempt silence for a while, I knew she was waiting for her brother. After a few ale's, I watched a young man with red hair walk into the tavern. I nudged Marilyn and pointed him out. " Erik!" She squealed jumping from her seat. He turned and a huge grin spread across his face as she jumped into this arms. I looked towards Amare and nodded my head towards the rooms before taking a key. " Good night Marilyn." I called as I headed to the room. I didn't hear a reply as I traversed the staircase, it took no time finding my room. It was incredible small, the bed would not be able to fit my a lot of my body. I locked my door and set my supplies next to the bed, well nothing much to do but wait. I slumped onto the bed, much of my legs hanging off, and did my best to get comfortable. I drifted off to the sound of rain, a faint pulse in my head echoing that night in the forest. A sign that I am on the right path.
