"Something is coming. Something thirsty for blood. A shadow grows on the wall behind you, swallowing you in the darkness. It is almost here!"
With his hands mimicking claws and his body growling, Brian glared at the others in an intimidating manner.
'What is it?!'
Mirajina, who was sitting in front of Brian, listened to him while trying to see the pawn, which Brian was hiding, as Brian spoke.
^What if it's a gargoyle? Oh God, we are so screwed if it's a gargoyle!^
Patting on the table with his butt stuck to the chair, like a sucker, Zato shouted aggressively.
Sitting right beside Brian, and in front of Zato, Noelle made her point with her unwavering confidence.
"An army of red dryads charge into the chamber!"
'Dryads?'
Mirajina said, puzzled.
"Wait a minute, did you hear that? That... that sound? Jaak...clack... boom! That didn't come from the red dryads. No, that... That came from something else... The black gargoyle king!"
^We're in deep shit.^
"Noelle, your action!"
^Cut him with the wind blade.^
'Too risky. Cast a protection spell!'
^Don't act like a girl! Slash him!
'Cast Protection.'
"The Great Gargoyle King is tired of your silly human bickering! It stomps towards you! BOOM!
^Cut him! Slash him.^
"Another stomp, boom!"
'Cast Protection.'
"He roars in anger!"
The dice fell down from the table and rolled somewhere unknown.
^Where'd it go? Where is it?^
'Is it a 10?'
^Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God!^
"Noelle! Noelle!" A lady called out from the entrance of the room.
'Can you find it yet?'
"Noelle!" She called out again, this time with a more solid voice.
^Oh, my God! Oh, my God!^
"You mean the end, right? Join me in 1 minute." She said.
^Oh, my God! Freaking idiot!^
They call stood up from their chairs and started searching for the lost dice.
"Why do we have to go?" Brian asked.
"You can finish the game the next weekend, it won't disappear."
"Noelle-"
"You've been playing for ten hours."
"I think you should listen to your mother. Dang dumb piece of junk." Another person stood beside her Mom, her older brother.
"Will, language!" The lady said.
'It was a seven? Did Brian see it?'
<[Shakes his head "no".]>
'Then it doesn't count.'
All of them left the room and ran outside, through the corridor, to the living room.
^Yo, hey, guys. Does anyone want this?^
Dustin said as he ate the jellies out of the bowl on the cupboard stand.
'No!'
^Hey, Will. There's a bite left if you want it. Black Eel and Red Jellyfish.^
"No thanks and why am I running with you creeps?!" Will said while running.
^I wonder. Maybe there's something wrong with your head.^
"Tsk."
^He's got a stick up his ass.^
'Yeah.'
'It's because he's gonna become the viceroy of the Venpine kingdom.'
^Yeah, he's always been a real jerk.^
^Un-uh. He used to be cool. Like that time he dressed up as a human for our Anti-eradication campaign.^
^Just sayin'.^ 'Later.' As they jumped out of the castle's window, which was situated high above the lowest level of the building, their bodies started floating. The lower part of their lower bottom rapidly changed into a golden structure like a fluke or monofin and slowly transitioned into a long tail. "What?" Mike asked. "I see. See you tomorrow I guess." Noelle said with a smile. It was the same as the other two, with the fluke at the back and the two fins to the side, that Brian swam through the window. "By the way, brother, can I ask why were you running together with us?" She asked while giving him a mischievous stare. "It's nothing. I was just chasing you s-so that you don't run away with these useless morons and create more hassle for mom." He said. "Ho is that so?!" She asked, moving around him with a smug expression on her face. "You were enjoying yourself when you were running, right? I saw you smiling creepily." She said and put her fingers on her chin with a tick sign. "Y-You are wasting my time. I have to prepare so many things for the occasion tonight and I don't have time to listen to your blabbering here." He said and walked away from her. "Pfft, he acts so boldly just to get bullied by her little sister." The girl began laughing as she viewed outside through the window. THRONE HALL As he listened to one of his informants from the above world, the king sat on the throne and took off his crown. "How much more time do we have left then?" The king asked. "There's not a moment to spare, his majesty, I daresay." The man said, standing alone in front of the king while looking at the other members sitting. "But isn't it too early for the prophecy?" Karin, one of the three ministers sitting with the king, asked. "It's not like we knew the exact date or time." Alfred, the other minister said. "Yeah and from the looks of it, the situation on the surface is worse than hell." The third and last minister present, Yakusa, said. "We can only pray to God for our safety because I don't think even our whole species could take on creatures that have the power to destroy existence itself," Alfred said. "Hmm, as much as I regret to say this, I don't think praying to God will help us in any way." The king said while looking in front of him with a serious gaze. "It's just as you say, my king! They are not called GOD-KILLERS just for show, I daresay." The informant said. "Although we can't do anything, we still have some advantage over the current situation," Karin said. "The VALKYRIE!" Yakusa said. "Our only bet is to trust in the prophecy and reign the heir of his majesty on the throne," Karin said. "Master Will is the eldest one of the two and I think he will be able to get us out of this predicament," Alfred said. "I am aware of that and I will be using the night's occasion for the coronation of the new king and not the viceroy of Saphris island." The king said. "But is it alright for you to give your throne so early, my king?" Yakusa asked. "I don't think it matters when we are all living at the mercy of someone else." He answered. "AS YOU SAY!" Everyone bowed down to the king.
