The clash of steel against steel. The smell of blood. The cries of pain and anguish. The sound of death.
This was battle, and Althea was in the midst of it.
She was surrounded by heretics and demons, and they were fighting tooth and nail.
She was leading a small group of elven warriors, and they were doing their best to hold off the demonic horde.
She swung her sword, and she felt the impact as she sliced through a demon's neck. The creature let out a gurgling cry, and its head fell to the ground.
But there were more to take its place, and Althea was beginning to feel the fatigue setting in.
She was tired, and she was starting to lose hope. But she couldn't give up. She had to fight for her beloved Thomas, her creator and god. She had to fight for her people, for her friends and loved ones.
And so, she continued to swing her sword, and she continued to kill. She would not let the demons win.
She would fight until the bitter end.
She was a warrior, and she would not go quietly into the night.
"Elven warriors! Keep pushing forward! Don't let the heretics and demons gain any ground!" Althea shouted.
The battle was fierce, and the heretics and demons were relentless. Althea was doing her best to lead her troops, but the enemy was gaining ground.
"Archers! Fire at will!" Althea yelled. The archers let loose a volley of arrows, and the demons were hit with a hail of projectiles. The demons roared in pain, and they stumbled backwards. The elves cheered, and they surged forward, taking advantage of the momentary lull in the fighting.
"Mages! Use your fire magic to burn the heretics and demons alive!" Althea shouted. The mages began casting fireballs, and the heretics and demons were engulfed in flames. The smell of burning flesh permeated the air, and the cries of pain from the heretics and demons were music to Althea's ears.
"Warriors! Form a line! Hold the line!" Althea yelled. The elves formed a line, and they held their ground against the heretics and demons. The heretics and demons charged, and the elves met them head-on.
The two sides clashed, and the sound of metal against metal filled the air. Althea swung her sword, and she felt the impact as she sliced through a heretic's stomach. The man screamed, and he fell to his knees. Althea finished him off with a swift stroke to the neck.
She looked around, and she saw that her warriors were being overwhelmed by the heretics and demons.
"Keep holding! Don't give up. We have the upper hand. We have Sophia. We have Egon." Althea yelled. She knew that her words were empty, but she had to try. She had to give her troops hope.
The elves fought bravely, and they were able to hold the line. But they were outnumbered, and they were slowly being pushed back.
Althea was doing her best, but she knew that it was only a matter of time before her troops were overwhelmed.
Then, a glimmer of hope appeared in the form of a young elf boy. Arron had discovered a weakness within the ranks of demons and heretics while he was out scouting.
"Arron, what are you doing here?" Althea asked. "You should be scouting!"
"I found a weak spot in the enemy lines!" Arron shouted. "Their left flank is weak, and we can break through if we attack now!"
"Are you sure, Arron?" Althea asked. "That would be an incredibly risky move. We could lose a lot of men."
"I'm sure," Arron replied. "I've been scouting for some time, and I know what I'm doing. We can break through their lines if we attack now!"
"Alright," Althea replied. "Lead the way, Arron!"
"Follow me!" Arron shouted, and he ran off towards the enemy lines. Althea and a few of her troops followed him, and they attacked the enemy's left flank. The heretics and demons were taken by surprise, and they were quickly overwhelmed. Althea and her troops were able to break through their lines and attack their rear.
"Nice work, Arron!" Althea shouted.
"Thanks, Althea!" Arron replied.
"Althea!" A voice called out from behind her. She turned around and saw Sophia standing next to her. "We need to help the Creator! He is fighting Amber, the leader of the heretics. She is too strong for him, and he will die if we do not intervene."
Althea looked at Sophia, and she nodded. "Don't worry about Lord Thomas. I know he will succeed. Go and the tend to the wounded. Kyran is out at the front, he needs all the help he can get."
Sophia struggled and finally relented. "Yes, Althea," she said. "I will tend to the wounded."
Sophia turned around and went to find the wounded elves. She found many who were injured, and she used her healing powers to mend their wounds. She worked tirelessly, and she saved many lives that day.
