Gaia stood by the bar. Her airy beauty gave off a soft glow that made the two of them on the floor look in her direction. Kyn, who was smart but rough, walked up slowly, with a mix of awe and discomfort in his eyes.
Gaia said with a grin, "Ah, Kyn. It's nice to see you again. I need a favor from you."
"Of course, Gaia," he said nervously, "How can I be of service?"
"I need you to take my clone from Persia to Athens," she whispered as she leaned closer seducing him with her nicely shaped peaches.
"Your clone?" Kyn asked with a raised eyebrow.
Gaia nodded, "Yes, I've made a copy of myself to take care of some things in Athens while I stay here. I trust you more than anyone else to keep her safe. As you fairy has already told you about the dangers that exist on this plane are slightly special."
Kyn was surprised technically she was as powerful as a god judging from her god friends, "But why me? Why does she need to be escorted? I think she's pretty strong as you leave alone your looks."
Gaia with a knowing smile, "You learn fast... Yes, she has my beauty, which is exactly why she needs you to look out for her. She might end up getting inappropriate attention on the trip."
Inappropriate looks my ass, look at the gown she's wearing, she's literally asking for it.
The clone shifting her eyes sized up Kyn, and here's the kicker, she seemed curious of him, it were as if she was trying to figure out who and what this human was. To be sincere, I've never felt like a peace of meat up until today, judging from her look she looked just as much alive as the one at the bar.
Kyn shifting uncomfortably, "You want me to protect that beauty and keep her safe from what exactly?"
Gaia in a lighthearted manner, "Oh, you're very smart. Who knows what might happen, it's not as if I'm part of the fates? ... You know how to handle problems, plus I promise it won't be a boring job." She finished speaking with a smirk on her face.
Hmmm, as much as I'd like it to be 'all about danger' something feels a miss. Never mind waking up with all those upgrades, what's with the damsel in distress vibe she's giving off or maybe it's just my imagination. But still, why is she so goddamn hot, well since she wants to play this game let's entertain her then.
"Gaia, you know I'm only used to dealing with blades and guns, how should I put it, never ... beauty," Kyn said with a sigh.
Gaia, laughing "I can see why you are hesitant. But think of it as protecting something valuable. Also, my clone is going to Athens with some important information to pass, so it is very important that she gets there safely."
"All right," said Kyn, "I'll do it. But you owe me one."
"I knew I could count on you, Kyn," Gaia said with a smile, "You're doing a great thing for the 'Earth'. Just remember that she may be beautiful, but the most important thing is that she is safe."
As if someone would hurt the hand that feeds them, like for real think of it like this on one hand you have a goddess whose all powerful and all who commands a whole plane and then there's me. The one who technically needs protection from this world is me and not some omnipotent being, I'm ready to bet on it she's doing all this for fun to pass time.
"Yeah, yeah," said Kyn, rolling his eyes, " I'll look out for her."
"Thank you, Kyn," Gaia said, putting her hand on his arm, "You won't be sorry."
As Gaia's soft laughter filled the room, Kyn was both excited and worried about the trip ahead. He knew that protecting this clone of unmatched beauty might be harder than anything he'd done before. Leave alone that oppressive feeling he kept on getting just from being in their presence.
Putting up the worst acting ever recorded on live media the two beauties began bidding their farewells.
"To my dear clone, I have to say that this trip has made me feel things I didn't expect."
The clone wonders ,"How do you feel, My liege?"
Kyn to self, I swear this two must either be the best actors I've ever met or maybe they are serious about this shit. For real, "My dear clone!!!! [>.<]!!! " That's a MF red flag right there, like why in the world . I know you can read my mind so tell me why your doing this.
Gaia not paying attention to the hunter, "Yes, a feeling of connection, a link between us that goes beyond how we look alike. You are a part of me, an expression of who I am."
"Yes, Gaia, I get it. And I'm glad to have this chance to see the world outside of our tower."

Gaia ,in a soft voice, "I want you to know that I think very highly of you. Not just for me, but for the balance of nature as a whole, your trip to Athens is very important." as if to add more salt to the act ,her eyes tear.
I'm sure the two of you had this planned the moment I popped in through that door.
"Thank you, Gaia," said Clone. "I value your trust above all else."
Gaia nodding, "Now, if you want to, you can go get your change of clothes ready. It is, after all, a trip through the wild. Kyn and the wisp will be here to take you."
Clone smiling, to which it felt scary, when she did " I'll be ready. I can't wait to go on the trip myself and see how it goes."
That might be the only truth you've muttered all through this morning, the smile seems legit.
Gaia looked on with a mix of pride and affection as the clone left to get her things. The bond she felt with her copy went beyond the fact that they looked alike. It was a shared goal, a group effort to make something important happen. She gave the clone a thumbs-up when it came back with a bag of clothes. She couldn't help but feel that this trip was a step toward a better understanding of herself, her place in the world, and the complex web of life.
