Chapter 16 - Queenerra - Aunt's Big Plan

Ben walked into the dining room and sat down on a bench, while Angelique also sat across from him. Meanwhile, Emma, who was busy in the kitchen in the morning, immediately approached, "Would you like me to make coffee, sir?" asked Emma.

"Yes, please," Ben answered. While waiting for Emma to come with his coffee, the auntie was already sitting across from him and Ben started the conversation.

"What's wrong aunty coming to my house so early?" Asked Ben.

Angelique furrowed her brows, "Do I need an excuse to visit my own niece?" asked the middle-aged woman with her trademark dangerous smile.

Ben raised an eyebrow, "Of course not. It's just that if I had known Auntie was coming, I would have prepared something, at least breakfast." said Ben.

"Don't worry, I've had breakfast." Angelique looked around.

"Your house looks much neater and cuter," Angelique said, she saw some of the curtains being replaced with more vibrant colors. Some corners are also placed flowers in vases. "It's like there's a woman's touch in this house." Said Angelique who was still looked around.

"Emma did it." Lied Ben. He knew that revealing Queenerra's presence in this house would only give Angelique an excuse to get into trouble with him.

Angelique smiled, "Emma has worked for you for years, why has she only recently made a change." Angelique muttered. Meanwhile, Emma, who was the subject of the conversation, came with two cups of coffee. She placed the coffee cups on the table, one in front of Ben and one in front of Angelique.

"Good morning Mrs. Duncan." Emma greeted Angelique with a smile.

"Nice choice." Angelique didn't answer her greet but praise another thing.

"What do you mean, Madam?" Emma looked confused.

"The color of the curtain and also the vases and flowers." Angelique smiled at Emma.

"Oh . . . thank you." Emma looked at Ben and that man's gaze was flat.

"Enjoy your coffee, madam." Emma chose to leave.

As soon as Ema left the place, Angelique changed the subject of the conversation between them. "Fiscal policy lately is really burdensome for entrepreneurs." She said as she looked at Ben. The young man nodded in agreement. "There's not much to do other than follow the rules," replied Ben.

Angelique raised her eyebrows, she pursed her lips briefly before picking up the coffee cup from the table and inhaling the aroma of coffee from inside the still steaming cup, "You still maintain the quality of your coffee well." Praise Angelique.

Ben nodded, "I don't want to reduce the quality of the coffee even though the profits are getting thinner." replied Ben. "Quality control comes first for me," replied Ben.

"You are stubborn like your father," Angelique said. "He who stubbornly chose to go bankrupt and left you with a lot of debt. I hope you don't repeat the same stupidity your father did." Said the old woman.

Ben took the coffee cup off the table and took a sip of its contents, "I've applied for a loan to the bank for temporary capital. I think I'll be far from going bankrupt as you mean." Ben said confidently.

"If you were a little more lenient, I have a solution for you other than going into debt to the bank and pledging your sole asset." Angelique looked at Ben with a look as if it was gentle, but behind that, there was hidden intimidation that Ben felt.

The young man's jaw hardened for a moment, "Do you have an offer for me?" Asked Ben.

"It depends," Angelique answered curtly.

Ben furrowed his brows, "Depend on what?" Ben asked though he wasn't sure what his aunt was offering was a solution, not a problem.

"Depends on you," Angelique replied. "You know Margaret Markle?" Asked Angelique. "The only daughter of the Markle family, her father was a famous banker and had undoubted assets," Angelique said giving the opening for her grand plan.

Ben took a deep breath, he knew very well where the conversation between him and his aunt was going. "You're planning our matchmaking?" Ben asked, furrowing his brows.

Angelique smiled, "Despite your stubbornness, you are a bright young man. And I like your wit, nephew." Praise Angelique. "After you impregnate Margaret, you will become the owner of all her father's property," Angelique added.

Ben picked up his cup once again and took a sip of its contents, "I'm not interested in your offer, sorry." Ben closed, the man stood up and looked at Angelique, "Sorry but I still have unfinished business, Aunt. You can leave whenever you want, this house is like your own, don't be hesitant if you want to stay a bit longer," said Ben respectfully.

"You arrogant brat." Angelique cursed angrily. He quickly grabbed his bag and walked out of the house of Benjamin Duncan, his haughty nephew.

Ben returned to his room and still saw Queenerra lying in the same position. As soon as Ben came in and closed their bedroom door again, even locking it from the inside, Queenerra shuffled to her feet.

"Do not go anywhere," Ben commanded, he even crawled back onto the bed and kissed Queenerra on the lips while she resignedly, laid back and didn't dare move.

"It's already that late to wake up, Emma would be laughing at me if I hadn't moved out of your room." Queenerra stopped her husband's kiss.

"Don't care with Emma." Reject Benjamin.

Queenerra grabbed her husband's face with both hands "I'm new to you. But your kisses didn't felt like you wanted to kiss me. I feel like this is an outlet for your anger at something." Queenerra said. This woman has strong instincts.

Ben sighed, he dropped to Queen's side, and propped his head with one arm folded. "You are right," Benjamin admits it. "Forgive me." Regret.

"We'll talk after I cook breakfast for you," Queenerra said as she shuffled up and in a semi-sitting position, looked at Benjamin.

"No need. I've had coffee, I'm going to take a shower and go to the plantation today," said Ben.

Queenerra bent down and kissed her husband on the cheek, "Thanks for last night." Her whisper was soft, and it made Ben smile widely. "I want to see my wife every night in my bed, waiting for me to come home." Answered Ben.

"I'll do as you wish, sir," Queenerra replied as she inched out of bed and left her husband's room.

Ben's mind became a little confused because what Angelique said was not a figment. The fiscal policies issued by the government recently have stifled businessmen, including himself.
