CHAPTER 3

Beauty, intelligence, and social status. The university is trying to find that.

With her attractiveness serving as the school's public face, brilliant at public speaking, and lastly, the university is renowned for its top-notch tutoring because of its social standing.

Many girls fit the criteria, but Luther showed interest in the non-participant.

His brow furrowed in surprise at the Dean's response, unable to understand what he was trying to convey. He didn't want to keep the conversation going, but he couldn't stop himself from probing the issue. "Why not? She's pretty," despite the fact that the woman's face could not be seen.

The old man was restless and bowed down to avoid the handsome young man's gaze. The reason given was that "she did not enter the contest," but the young man did not believe it. " Well, the competition is still going on, so I could talk to her and—-"

"You don't understand, Mr. Cromwell" the old man cut him off. Sighing, he looked to see where the beautiful girl was. "She's pretty but she's dangerous" Luther frowned, even more, when he heard this. When will a woman bring disaster to the university?

" I admit that she qualifies for her beauty but her background doesn't. She can harm the university. " The old man added which made the young man even more confused. "enlighten me"

"She's related to a Mafia that is also mean to her, doing the same thing. She's a delinquent. And if the parents see her as the role model of this school, no parent would want their child in here," the old man said again.

When he asked, "Are you sure about your claim?" he frowned in disbelief and looked at the girl in question for a moment. Looking to see if it was one of the clans he was familiar with. But how could he do so if he had no desire to look at women?

"The students can prove." Answered the old man who disappointed him. His claims have no basis yet he judges the girl without prior investigation. He pitied the girl for that.

" But being related to the mafia doesn't make her one. Have you seen her harm anyone? " Luther asked that it's surprising that a woman is being defended, he also doesn't know why maybe it's because of the unfair judgment here. The old man looked away unable to answer. "that's it. She's not"

"But, Mr. Cromwell, making her the face of this university will put our reputation at risk, and I don't want to risk what I have now. I'm sorry, but your request is not something I can fulfill," the old man said.

He understood what he was saying; he just didn't like passing judgment on a woman without sufficient evidence.

Not everyone who is associated with a dangerous organization can be considered an ally.

The Mafia has several levels, including the boss, underboss, consigliere, caporegime, soldier, associates, and neophytes. And the woman may be one of the last on the list that can do nothing but obey the superior's command.

Whether what the old man says is true or not, he dislikes making decisions without a reasonable basis. The school simply demonstrates a lack of factual basis in everything.

As a result, the young man lost interest and chose to return to the auditorium where the selection was being held. He also felt that the old man would not stop bothering him, so he walked back to join Kheed and Lucas, who were both busy giving scores to the young women who were ramping.

----

"Ah, that was exhausting," Kheed said as he sat on the sofa. He was followed by two more attractive young men. "Hey, Lucas, could you please pass me some beer?"

The young man immediately took a drink from the mini bar located in their so-called hang-out base.

It's a large house with beautiful yet masculine furnishings. You can see the young men's luxury and passion in the setting. There is a billiards table, gaming setup, and arcades in it to keep the three entertained. After a long day at the office, the three meet here to discuss organizational matters.

And because being a mafia boss is a closely guarded secret, only the two know the location.

Lucas De Castro is the son of a businessman and doctor, a friend of Luther's family, and his consigliere or right hand in the Mafia world. This is the person who frequently offers advice or makes suggestions to Luther's plans and decisions.

Kheed, on the other hand, is the son of the owner of a massive casino that only the wealthy can enter, and he serves as the caporegime, or the person who provides vital information to rival clans.

Luther is not a typical mafia boss who can order everyone under, having to conceal his savage identity, he has to do the job by himself. And by making his secret less risky, he made his circle small by having these two young men work for him.

" Bet you enjoy it," Lucas said, hurling an alcoholic can at Kheed. "Not really," he grinned, "it's pretty tiring letting them see this kind of face, I should really be charging every time someone stares at me."

"They were just wondering how the monkey got into the school," Lucas replied, laughing. "Pfft! I'm too attractive to be a monkey!"

"Still full of himself," Lucas said as he sat down on the sofa, shaking his head.

After a while, the young CEO came in, sitting directly on the swivel chair in front of his desk, which was piled high with papers. "Are you still thinking about Gransil?" Lucas inquired, observing his friend lean back and close his eyes. "I'm just tired,"

"How come? you haven't done anything, pfft," Kheed asked, making Lucas laugh.

"Screaming and noise exhaust me, and getting attention from so many flirts bores me."

"tss, says the boast one., you were just ahead of five baths on me," Kheed said, making Lucas laugh. "Is that funny, bro?" But the young man just laughed it off.

"Any report?" Luther asked, massaging his head and ignoring his jokes.

"The Lopez family will hold a birthday party for their only son, Jin Danielle," the young man said, smiling.

Luther frowned at it, unsure of what it was saying in relation to his question. "Who fvcking cares?"

"But I know you'll be interested in what happens behind that party," the young man said nothing and waited for Kheed to continue.

"From what I've gathered, they intend to form alliances with Asano, and given that that family owns a trading company that exports a lot of high-end caliber guns and bullets, Asano will not pass up that opportunity."

" With Asano at their backs, their business will gain more supremacy in terms of trading. They will get more clients. Gaining more money, more power." Lucas analyzed what the family referred to by Kheed wanted to happen. "It's a win-win situation for both clans. But a disadvantage for us. We are going to be left far behind the target."

The young man listens intently to what Lucas is saying, making his own analysis of what is being discussed. "When was it?"

" Two days from now. At the white palace. 7pm sharp, oh and it's a masquerade party" Kheed answered.

"Then that would be easy to sneak into"

" Throwing such big party means tight security. And using that plutocracy for mafia alliances, they will take precautions for sure. Don't forget about that, bro. "

Lucas nodded in agreement to what Kheed said, then turned to face their friend, who had been quietly thinking.

"So, boss, what are you going to do about it? " Kheed inquired. He smirked as he leaned back in his swivel chair.

"A hi-jack"
