"What happen Li Jie? Why are you being this quiet and gloomy?"
Huang Guiren who had just finished a bowl of steaming wonton soup asked, prodding his unlively buddy in the arm. The youth who was biting his chopsticks didn't even seemed to hear him, his head lowered, staring at his own bowl absentmindedly.
Seeing the unresponsive buddy, Huang Guiren exchanged baffled glances with Li Qing and Prince Rong who were sitting at the other side of the table. First, this pal of theirs came late to the dining hall. Second, lunch time was almost over but this buddy just didn't join their chat for the whole time. And now that Huang Guiren was asking him a question, this wilted buddy just remained uncommunicative yet again.
"Wang Li Jie!"
The youth flinched at the loud yell of Huang Guiren. Rubbing his ear which had almost gone dumb by that ear-splitting tone, Wang Li Jie shot daggers at the culprit.
"Lower your voice, will you? We're in a public place."
The youth, who could sense gazes of other disciples near their table, reprimanded the noisy Huang Guiren, not realizing his bros had already recognized that off mood of his. With a gloomy pout, the youth pound and prodded noodles in his bowl with his bamboo chopsticks.
"Li Jie, what's wrong with you? Tell us who get on your nerves or bully you? These bros of yours will teach him a good lesson."
As a good bro as he was, Prince Rong asked, both of his hands occupying with each of their task. His left hand was holding chopsticks whereas the other was hovering around Li Qing's head, massaging the place above his buddy's temples in circular moves.
Though it was hard to believe Li Qing who didn't even drink half the jar of liquor was having a hangover, well.....just believe it. As long as his little Qing said it was hangover, then just let it be hangover. And about last night.....he wouldn't mention it again if his little Qing disliked it. Despite it being such a cute memory for him, it might be embarrassing for Li Qing.
"No, it's just I'm not in the mood today. Sorry guys, I....."
The youth paused his sentence at the sight of a certain bully coming into his vision. His new master, Li Zian, was sitting alone at a table in a corner, having his own meal with his eyes wandering to a particular someone no other than himself. And that was how Wang Li Jie met eyes with him as soon as he noticed that junior's presence.
Yet again, that guy was still looking at him with that abnormally interested look. Regardless of cold and emotionless demeanor of the junior, Wang Li Jie didn't fail to spot that strange interest in his eyes. What was that guy planning on doing? Even after he had caught him in the act, that junior kept staring at him shamelessly.
Clicking his tongue, Wang Li Jie put down his chopsticks on the table with a loud bang before rising to his feet, heading for the junior's table with a frown. His three buddies were startled by this bro's sudden fierce actions. Confused, the trio tilted their head with their eyes following the seemingly exasperated youth only to see him stopping at a certain table where a junior was.
"What do you want?"
With a smirk, Zhang Long Wei looked up at the shadow hovering above his head.
"That's funny. Shouldn't I be the one asking this question? What do you want rocking up to my place out of the blue?"
Drawing a chair out, the youth sat down face-to-face with him after reacting with a snort at the query.
"Let's just end this show. You recognize who I am, right?"
Zhang Long Wei creased his brows. There was no way this youth could see through his mask of "Li Zian". So, by 'recognize', what did he mean? Was this youth mistaking him for a certain someone else? Just what made him deserve such sort of treatment from the youth? Feeling he had just been wrong, Zhang Long Wei wiped his mouth with a napkin before turning into a serious mode and questioned.
"What are you talking about?"
If this youth felt indignant to be a disciple of himself and was behaving like this, Zhang Long Wei wouldn't feel this bad. But now it seemed like this youth was targeting his anger at him for a certain something he didn't even do.
"You know what? You are such a nuisance. It's so obvious that you recognize me. Why do you keep denying it? You're looking at me all the time just because of that very reason, aren't you?"
That...well, it was due to a particular reason which had nothing to do with what the youth's trying to made him admit right now, of course.
Zhang Long Wei didn't know what got into him though.
It's just that as soon as he arrived at the dining hall, the demon found his inquisitive eyes roaming around the entire hall, hoping to spot a certain someone who would be no other than this youth. And even after spotting the target, his eyes just couldn't behave and kept staring at the pouting youth who was sitting at a not-so-distant table.
Wang Li Jie seeing the junior giving him such baffled look got exploded immediately.
" Fuck you. Do you want me to tell you directly that I'm that pretty male you met last night? You damn pervert.....I came here to give you this warning. Stop staring at me or I'm gonna gouge those perverted eyes of yours out from your damn sockets."
Wang Li Jie was feeling overly awkward right now. He was this close to getting exploded from anger but still had to lowered his voice lest other disciples should hear him. It's a good thing that this damn pervert chose a cornered place to have a meal. Only because of that, Wang Li Jie could let his anger out to this extent otherwise he knew he couldn't even bring himself to utter this warning.
The youth was about to get up and leave from the seat when he felt a hand grasping his arm from behind. Pissed off, Wang Li Jie almost let out a loud cuss. But then, as he turned around, the fuming youth saw something unexpected. This perverted junior was looking at himself with that obviously startled expression on his face. His mind had gone blank for a moment before a sour realization hit him.
"You...you are him?!"
Talk about selling oneself out and getting himself into a mess....
