The debate which circled the matter of upgrades was hot, no doubt about that. But in the midst of it, William managed to find a lot of logic behind the system's words, everything simply made sense!
So it felt pointless to question a structure which had been created by a higher being. The boy was just a human soul after all, he didn't understand anything that leaned towards the scientific side.
Likewise he just decided to agree with the system's ways, there wasn't much he could do about all of this anyway.
After a few moments of silence, he decided to request. "I want to buy that chart thing, let's hope this upgrade doesn't hurt."
In an instant, the system assured. [It has no reasons to hurt, you'll see why]
After a short moment, she confirmed with a stutter-less tone. [Your request to buy the visual charts and maps has been approved,]

Right after, the boy's eyes were forced to flinch! What popped up in his vision could baffle anyone, it was simply fascinating!
He could see a big, blue panel which coated most of his sight! The snakezoid peeked left and right just to shake this panel away from his vision, but his efforts were pointless.
It almost seemed as if these informational charts were embedded on the very apple of his eye!
However, the boy was snapped out of his distracted state, once the system came along with a few notifications.
[Upgrade complete,]
[Two-hundred system points have been consumed,]
[Six-hundred and fifty system points remain.]
For once, the snakezoid didn't care about all those points. Instead his attention darted towards the current sight.
Likewise, he eventually expressed. "What the hell's all of this?"
[Hence the name, this is what the visual charts and maps are all about,] The system was swift to answer.
And then she explained, [You can read everything about yourself here, and all about the upgrades you bought as well.]
After William got over the shock which this situation brought along, he understood that these blue panels showcased precisely what the system described.
"I underestimated you, system." He first muttered.
Afterwards he weighed in, "These tabs really tell me about everything, they even count my heartbeats!"
And at the end he just expressed, "I thought that you were just some weird, alien brain computer. And you probably are, but I thought that you could only do weird things to my body and shit, not all of this!"
For once the system was speechless, not because of the compliments but because of the guest's weird observations, so she decided to stay quiet.
After all, William's whole attention darted towards the charts anyway, so it felt pointless to hold a conversation.
However, everything on these panels was written in some weird language. Oddly enough he could understand this cryptic-like grammar, word by word even!
"Alien language... this thing is hard to read, even though these snakes are in an era of castles and shit." The snakezoid spoke to himself.
These letters seemed extremely foreign, they likely belonged to the local language of this world.
Due to that matter, he felt lucky for once. This language seemed complex, so it would likely take a painfully long time to learn it from scratch.
But in this case, he didn't have to learn anything. As after all, he possessed the past body owner's brain, so he could use any little bit of knowledge he could find up there, language recognition was one of them!
However, once William pushed that perspective aside, he thoroughly read through the contents of these tabs.
"Amazing," He complimented once more.
There was a pickable category of information, which featured every little thing there was to know about the boy's body.
He could see expansive explanations about all of his organs, some topics even described in what conditions these vital parts were!
The statistics had a simplified version as well. These versions described how healthy an organ was, percentage-wise.
It was most definitely interesting to witness all of this, but his attention was swiftly captured by one thing. William noticed that his lung wasn't in its best condition, at least that was what these statistics said.
Likewise, he instantly questioned. "Uh, this is kinda bad, why are my lungs down to forty-five percent? What made them so unhealthy?"
After he acknowledged that single statistic, the boy became conscious towards the problem he had with his lungs. Every whiff he took simply felt too short, but yet heavy.
[You crashed on a lot of bugs, and swallowed a bunch of blood too. You're actually still surprisingly healthy,] The system accurately described.
Although he was thankful, William still asked. "Great, but how can I heal my lungs? I need them to breathe and stuff."
In an instant, the system assured. [You need to drink a bunch of water, it will help you get rid of bacterias. Bug blood has a lot of nasty stuff in it, you should have kept your mouth closed.]
"Yeah no kidding... So these bad lungs won't kill me?" He questioned.
Quite casually, the other followed along. [No, well at least not under these circumstances. It's always best to push the health of your organs above eighty-percent, just to be safe]
William heaved out a sigh of relief, afterwards he peeked through the other charts which this upgrade had to offer.
Eventually he stumbled upon the upgrades and their descriptions. Each one had a brief explanation, but there were also other options.
If the boy wanted to, he could select an expanded chart of each upgrade he had purchased. The descriptions in these versions were truly massive, some even stretched above three-hundred average pages long!
He could either choose to hear these descriptions out, or read through them. Either way, these options seemed more than convenient.
But the boy's focus was broken by a fine lady, and that lady was Olivia. She approached the younger and blurted out what she had to say.
"We need to suit you up now, you can't run around naked like that anymore!" She slightly joked.
What was likeable about this lady, was that her tone always remained soft, it could calm anyone down! She could talk about death and murder, yet the topic would still sound peachy.
"Uhhh," William mumbled in response.
He panicked for a second, as he did not know how to turn off the visual charts. It was truly hectic to obtain control under such short notice.
Thankfully, the system explained that these tabs could be pushed away on command, be it by thought or through spoken word.
So after he removed the tabs, he could answer. "I don't think this is the best time to throw me in a bucket of iron."
"You're funny," Olivia expressed with a smile.
Afterwards she insisted, "You don't have to wear the heavy stuff, it's not for you anyway."
"That's uh... brutally honest." The boy recited.
But he also understood that the other's statement was true. William was fifty kilograms heavy, so it was illogical for him to wear a battle-armour that weighed half of that.
"No no!" The healer repeated.
After that point she anxiously fluttered her hands in front of herself, to convince the other that she meant to express herself differently.
At last she described, "Soldiers wear armour and stuff based on experience. If they wear heavy iron things, it's because they can handle them."
To seal this topic up, she also added. "You are new, so you need to start with something lighter. We're just gonna give you a few iron plates, so they won't make you uncomfortable."
"I see," William finally gave in.
Afterwards he tried to sit up straight, as he aimed to be more cooperative.
But right at that moment his back muscles ached brutally, he was forced to flinch. In response he unleashed a little gasp, and the lady in front of him noticed that.
"No, I'll help you!" She slightly shouted.
Likewise, she dashed towards the boy to help him. But what Olivia did not expect, was for the muddy ground beneath her feet, to prove itself an enemy!
Her right foot dramatically slipped across the ground, so she was forced to throw herself forward to a point of no return!
"Watch out!" The healer warned, but that effort was useless.
William was in front of the lady right at that moment, and in this situation it was difficult to decide if he could be considered lucky.
This good woman was forced to throw herself against the boy, so an embarrassing scene was destined to happen!
"Ouch!" She cried out, right after a loud thud.
These two head-butted each other before they were forced to lay flat. Unsurprisingly, they somehow ended up in a bear-hug position.
Once they did so, the corners of their lips pressed on one another! Admittedly, that was the softest part through this entire crash!
As the healer pushed herself up, she repeated. "Sorry, sorry!"
William on the other hand, he discovered that his sprains had just developed new, nearby sprains due to that strong collision. Yet he was not mad, no. On the contrary, the boy felt more emotionally conflicted than ever!
