Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

The sound of Beer mugs slammed hard against the mahogany table woke Y/n up. The laughter of knights who decided to hit the tavern filled the place completely putting silence to shame.

"ANOTHER ONE WANK!"

A knight yelled, clearly drunk from the excess alcohol he had drank. Y/n yawned and rubbed her eyes in attempt to see clearly, until she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Young lady, thank you for the milk. My family loves your supplies so much!"

The bald buff dwarf gave off a toothy grin, he stretched forth his hand dropping some coins onto her palm. Y/n looked at her the coins and frowned.

"Seriously Lorcan?"

The dwarf furrowed his brows in confusion

"What?"

"I gave you three milk containers Lorcan, three!"

"And i paid you!" The dwarf scoffed at her and crossed his arms.

"You know it's not enough Lorcan, you don't have to be stingy. Just pay up!"

"Me? Stingy? Darling i am just doing the right thing and that is paying you like i always do"

"With 2 coins? Sometimes i wonder why i sell my milk to you, with payments like this. Where do you think you would get the milk? The cows would have been dead by now!"

Lorcan rolled his eyes

"Y/n get out of my tavern, i don't want a scene. I have already paid you"

Y/n smirked and sat back on the chair.

"i am going nowhere until i get paid"

Lorcan clapped his hands as two tall buff men showed up on both sides of Y/n. She gulped nervously.

"Lorcan, we don't have to do this, come on. Just pay me and i would be gone"

Lorcan stared at her and in a second, the door flew wide open as Y/n was kicked out of the tavern, she hoisted herself up and dashed towards the door but the door was slammed shut right in her face. She pounded her fist onto the door yelling. The door eventually flew open.

"Nice doing business with you!" Lorcan laughed as three milk containers were flung outside at her. Y/n grumbled and shouted

"Never doing business again with you again, you old ugly dwarf!"

"WHAT?!!!!" she laughed and immediately picked up her containers, Y/n ran off before his goons could get to her and beat her up.

Y/n finally reached her door when all of a sudden, a great wind blew her H/L, H/C, and she gently brushed away her locks and gasped when she noticed gold specks flying along with the current of the wind, directing her gaze towards the enormous castle afar off. And suddenly, a thought struck her. Now Y/n knew she was a crazy girl but she never expected her craziness to be this much. But it was going to be worth it hopefully right? She smirked and fixed her gaze at the castle.

"Well what do you know, its time to rob the castle..."

Meanwhile at the castle, the three brothers sat at the throne room, totally engaged in a heated discussion.

"I believe you should attend the royal ball, it's the final stage to sealing the deal with the neighbouring kingdoms, a sign of agreement and peace"

A calm voice spoke out, the voice belong to the second born, Prince Darren. Roan's brother. King Roan scowled at Darren's suggestion, blue orbs glaring at his brothers with hatred, lips pressed into thin line, he finally parted his lips and uttered the words.

"I do not listen to anyone"

The first born Prince Cathal interrupted Roan immediately.

"He is not just anyone Roan, he is a Prince he is royalty ... and your brother"

King Roan immediately rose to his feet, he ran his fingers through his red hair, and glared at Cathal, slowly dragging his feet as he approached Cathal. He slammed his palms onto the table, as he grabbed a fistful of Cathal's tunic yanking him closer to his face.

"Derran is nothing to me! You are nothing to me and he is not... my brother, don't you ever call me his brother! And you are not my brother too"

The king pushed Cathal back, Cathal was about to retort but held his tongue because of Evana who happened to be present in the throne room.

Evana descended from her throne and walked over to Roan, gently placing her hand on his shoulder.

"You don't have to be so rude my son" she said, pretending to be nice. Prince Cathal and Derran stared at each other.

"You should go to the ball... it's okay" Evana smiled at Roan as he gave in. Relaxing under her touch.

"Yes Mother, i will" Roan sighed when all of a sudden the doors to the throne room burst open.

"YOUR MAJESTY! A THIEF WAS CAUGHT STEALING FROM THE CASTLE!"

the guards came in with Y/n who had her wrist bound in chains, she was roughly pushed onto her knees.

"Bow to the king!"

Roan looked at her, rage filled his eyes. Just as he was about to speak to her, Y/n looked up at him and smiled. Why do people smile at me? Are they pitiful that I am a monster? He thought to himself.

"Away with her to the dungeon. She shall spend her pitiful life there and will rot in the dungeon"

Prince Cathal intervened immediately

"What did she steal?"

Roan look at Cathal, clenching his fist in anger, how dare he?

"Your majesty?" The guard asked

"What did she steal?!" Prince Derran joined in, thereby intimidating the guards.

"Food supplies your majesty-" the guard was suddenly cut off by the king.

"Don't you dare question my actions!" Wood tendrils sprouted out within a second, wrapping themselves around Derran and Cathal's neck, strangling them gradually, Evana was pleased at heart but had to put up an act so she yelled "Roan no!"

Prince Cathal and Derran immediately unsheathed their swords swinging it down upon the tendrils cutting them off as they fell to the cold floor panting vigorously.

Y/n gawked in fear and awe, still on her knees, King Roan looked around and saw the guards frozen in fear, his gaze dropped down to Y/n, their eyes locked for a moment. He could sense the fear from the guards and Y/n, his heart sank, all he needed was for people to love him, was that too much to ask? Well no one could love a monster, only mother loves me. For once, fear was visible within his crystal blue eyes. His brothers could see the fear within his eyes, Y/n saw it too. King Roan shook his head snapping himself out of his thoughts and muttered to the guards.

"My word still stands, take her to the dungeon"

"brother wait!" Roan had already left the throne room, he ignored the calls of his brothers and departed to his chambers. Evana smirked clearly pleased with Roan's actions, she then walked out of the throne room.

"Unhand me! Hey this is no way to treat a lady!!!" Y/n thrashed in attempt to get away from the guards but they sure did have an iron grip on her. The guards threw Y/n into the dungeon and locked her in as she rushed to entrance, gripping the bars tightly.

"let me out of here!"

but it was all in vain as the guards had already walked away. She groaned in anger and sat on the floor. 'I could have just stayed back at home!' She thought to herself.

But then she heard movement in a dark corner of her cell, Y/n took off her shoe pointed it towards the direction where the noise came from. But she lowered her shoe when an old man stepped into the light.

"Hello young one" he smiled gently at her, she relaxed under his gaze. Gulping a bit, she finally answered with a question.

"Who are you?"
