Then, later, while Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa are outside running and playing around, Hatori woke up from his nap. He then got up, put Shigure's book aside, and went upstairs to check on Tohru's male cousin. But upon arriving there, he saw that he was sitting on the bed looking at the Masayuki and his sister and friend through the window.
"You didn't take a nap or something?" he asked him.
Tohru's male cousin then turned to him. "I did, but barely."
Hatori then entered in and sat on the bed next to him. "I heard that you had a bad relationship with Tohru and Masayuki. Can you tell me why?"
But the young man won't talk about it. Hatori then kept on insisting.
Eventually, Tohru's male cousin revealed the reason why.
"It's because her mom is a delinquent and his father is my mom's second husband," he said to Hatori. "Our biological father passed away, and our mom remarried."
"Oh, that's why." Hatori understood his feelings.
"And also," Tohru's male cousin continued on, "Masayuki and Emiko are not even Japanese citizens. They're like their father: being foreigners. And plus, their names in their passports are weird."
"Oh? Like what? For example, what was Masayuki's name there?"
"Do I have to spell it out to you?"
"Come on, I want to know," Hatori insisted.
"Fine, his full name is Masayuki Torre Roxas-Honda," Tohru's male cousin responded. "For Emiko, it's Emiko Selena Roxas-Honda. And for their father, it's Pablo Real Taytay-Roxas."
He then sighed in annoyance. "It's so hard to pronounce their names. Pablo's last name is different in the family registry, too."
Listening to him attentively, Hatori gets what he had said. "I understand. You shouldn't have a grudge with them. What did they even do to deserve that?"
But this time, the young man won't talk about it either, so Hatori just gave up and left the room.
Later, Ayame came, much to Kyo and Yuki's annoyance. Then, outside, they had a talk with Pablo's father while Masayuki and the others were preparing the food for them. All day, Masayuki and his sister and friends are playing hide-and-seek with each other, writing, reading, and singing foreign songs. Masayuki sang Western and Filipino songs in the living room in front of his sister, father, and friends, who applauded his singing talent. This really annoys his eldest half-brother despite the latter being upstairs. He only went downstairs to go to the bathroom and get some food and drink. And so, they stayed there until the next day, when they all packed up and went home.
