Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 - Masayuki's Conversation with Shiraki

Later at the afternoon, after class and before going to his part-time job, Masayuki was at the school rooftop writing about his day in his grey, A6-sized notebook while sitting on the floor. Emiko and Handa are waiting for him at the school entrance while Souya was already going home.

"Man, most of my classmates liked my cooking," he thought to himself while writing the words in Japanese.

Then, Mayuko Shiraki, Tohru's teacher, came to the rooftop, only see that Masayuki wasn't going home yet. She then went closer to him and asked him, "Are you supposed to go home?"

Upon hearing that, Masayuki looked at her, and answered back, "Sorry, ma'am, I need some alone time before going to my part-time job."

"You have a part-time job?" Mayuko asked back.

In response to that, Masayuki stand up, hold his journal and pen, and explained, "Yes, I had a part-time job at a convenience store. It'll start this 4 in the afternoon."

"I see," Mayuko responded. "By the way, are you Masayuki Honda?"

"Yes, I am. How did you know that?"

"My sister, who was a teacher from your previous school, and your teacher told me about you. Is that true that you chose to transfer here?"

"Yes, I did that."

"Also, your last name is Honda, right?"

"Yes."

"Are you a relative of Tohru Honda?"

"Yes, how did you know that? Is she your student or something?"

"She's my student in my class."

"I didn't know that. Wait a minute, my former teacher is your sister?"

"Yes, she's my older sister, and she's a teacher of your previous school."

"Oh, okay then."

"Yeah. So, what's your reason for transferring?"

"Well, because my younger sister, Emiko, was going to be in this high school, so I was thinking to restart first-year and transfer in this school."

"That's why. Also, I heard from my sister that you had a day-off from school. Is that true?"

"Yes, it's because of my stupid and selfish half-siblings."

"Your half-siblings?"

"Yes, because of their mistreatment on Tohru-chan. I got so angry that I became cold at them, and even left home to live in an apartment with Emiko."

"That's why."

Mayuko then thought to herself, "Family problems…"

After that, Masayuki shoved his journal and pen into his shoulder bag and said to Mayuko, "I'll be going now."

"Okay, bye," Mayuko wavered goodbye to him.

Not long after, Masayuki meet up with Emiko and Handa, and they walked together towards Masayuki's part-time job.
