The next day, at school, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa are walking together positively when the Yuki fan club girls confronted them and accused Masayuki of taking Yuki's spot as the most popular boy in school.
"No, I didn't," Masayuki denied that. "What makes you to assume that?"
"I think your cooking skills will make you popular," one of the girls responded back, "let alone your looks."
This pisses Masayuki a bit, and he retorted, "My looks have nothing to do with this!"
"Oh, just shut up, backup prince," another of the girls replied back. "You're totally and definitely take his spot over time."
"Not nice!"
"Please, just leave him alone," Handa responded to this.
"Shut up, orange boy!" the girls shouted at Handa.
"Don't say that in front of Handa Sohma!" Masayuki yelled at them.
Then, Mayuko noticed this, and she intervened and asked the two sides, "What is going on here?" Although she was not Masayuki's teacher, she does care for him, as if he was her student.
While the Yuki fan club girls couldn't come up with an excuse, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa explained what had actually happened.
Moments later, after hearing what had happened, Mayuko turned towards the girls and asked, "Are you accusing Masayuki of taking Yuki's spot as the most popular boy in school?"
"Uh, um…," one of the girls responded.
"If you can't answer me," Mayuko replied back seriously, "I suggest all of you to go back to your classes."
This disappoints the girls a lot, and they went off to their classrooms.
After that ordeal had ended, Masayuki bowed his head for a few seconds, and said to Mayuko, "Thank you so much, sensei."
"I'm just passing by when I noticed this," Mayuko responded back. "You're welcome, Masayuki. Now, go to your class."
"Right," Masayuki replied. Then to Emiko and Handa, "Let's go, guys, I think Souya-chan is waiting for us."
And so, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa went off to their class as Mayuko wavered goodbye to them.
Later at the afternoon, after class, Masayuki, Emiko, Handa, and Souya are getting and changing their shoes at the lockers when a boy from Tohru's class came to them and asked Masayuki, "Masayuki-kun, I heard you can speak foreign languages. So, can you come to my house and teach me proper English?"
"Sure thing," Masayuki replied back positively in acceptance upon noticing him. "Today is my day-off from my part-time job, so I had a lot of time."
"Wait, so you're now teaching foreign languages?" Souya asked in response.
"Yes, because they're having difficulties in learning English," Masayuki replied back with a reason.
And then, Yuki heard this all along, and he thought, "Wow, Masayuki-kun is so smart."
