A week had passed, and Masayuki and Emiko are living their lives on their own, with Masayuki working part-time to make ends meet. Although her older brother always cook meals everyday, Emiko usually cook for dinner, especially when Masayuki comes home late. They had a small washing machine and a small refrigerator paid through monthly installments in which Masayuki and Pablo pays every month. At this time of day, Emiko was making tea for her brother, who was reading one of his favorite classical novels in the living room. They didn't have a TV yet, but they'll buy one in the future.
They were basically living a minimalistic lifestyle and doesn't want anything more, as if they are content with what they had. It was morning, and 9 o'clock was the start of Masayuki's shift, only 15 minutes away. But, Masayuki was always prepared everyday, as if his job was not that hard. His workplace was just two blocks away from their apartment place.
"Here's your tea, big brother," Emiko said to Masayuki as she served tea with hospitality.
"Thank you," Masayuki happily thanked her back as he grabbed the said cup of tea and drink it. He then got relaxed by the soothing taste of the said tea, and it even make him more ready for the work of the day.
"Man, this life is soooo much better," Masayuki commented to his sister with positive happiness as he enjoyed his hot drink. Emiko then smiled at him, before asking him if he had work for the day, or it was his day-off. On his day-offs, Masayuki usually dedicated those days for errands about daily needs or anything else that is essentially for them, or handling their finances.
"Oh, yes, I had work until..." Masayuki answered her back positively, "...8 in this evening. Are you okay here being here alone?"
"Yes, I am okay," Emiko replied back with a smile.
Not long after, Masayuki changed clothing, grabbed his shoulder bag, worn his black shoes, and left the apartment unit as his sister wavered him goodbye for the day.
