Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 The Beginning

In the beginning, there was darkness. Only the five gods existed in The Oracle Universe, and they used to roam around it together until one day when they felt like the universe was too empty. Upon that thought, they came up with an idea to create more beings into the universe and watch them like their own private distractions and entertainment. First, they created an alternate dimension, The Enigma Land, that will not directly interact with The Sapphire Plane, where Gods lived. Then the Sun God made the light that shone over it while the Mother Goddess made nature and the wildlife. She made everything in nature: flowers, trees, hills, mountains, valleys, lakes, and oceans covered the unknown land. After that, The Moon Goddess and the Dark Lord made the night and the stars. The Human God thought the picture was still incomplete, so he wanted to create beings that looked like them. Upon hearing his idea, all wanted to add their own powers and make beings above the wildlife that now roamed the secondary plane, so the rest of the species appeared. After making the black witches and demons, the Dark Lord made a third dimension, The Infernal Damnation, for the demons to use as purgatory, allowing them to consume a being essence of life and trap it there. Finally, the Gods settled that their interference with the alternate dimensions will be minimal as they remained in The Sapphire Plane, where the other beings can't see them.

Initially, the Gods looked satisfied at their creations, as the species coexisted and tried to make sense of their existence, but the peace didn't last long. Soon they turned on each other, and instead of working together to prosper, they would stubbornly get stuck on the differences between them, fighting with each other for anything one had and the other needed.

When the Gods saw how they were too stubborn to coexist, they separated the species into five realms. First was The Midnight Realm, the realm of the werewolves. The second was The Mortal Sanctuary realm of the humans. Then the third was The Hollow Dominion realm of Demons and Black witches, and the fourth was The Azure Realm, the realm of all the Sun God's creatures. Finally, the fifth was The Cloud Reach realm of white witches.

For centuries, the splitting of the realms brought peace. Over time, the demons and black witches worked together to coexist. On the one hand, demons could tap into The Infernal Damnation plane, and they were outstanding fighters and hunters, while the dark witches were good at farming and healing. Hence, they agreed, and The Hollow Dominion was the second realm to thrive and prosper. In contrast, white witches flourished as they were natural-born healers and, similarly to the dark witches, they were good at farming plants for consumption, but they lacked fighting skills and were extremely poor at building housings.

The Azure Realm was the most beautiful, as it housed many species. Because dragons ruled the realm, all creatures were working together to live and thrive, making the realm the only one not lacking anything.

The Midnight Realm was first to thrive and prosper. Like the Azure Realm, the werewolves didn't lack in anything. Of all creations, they were almost the perfect one. Because they mastered all skills and were naturally inclined to trade goods and services, so they quickly started implementing business-like systems. Soon after, they developed into a well-structured community, in theory at least. However, because they were natural-born leaders with fiery tempers and overwhelming stubbornness, they would often fight with each other and rain havoc. That is how packs and territories have appeared, with each group following one Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

Meanwhile, at the end of the food chain was The Mortal Sanctuary realm. Given their lack of skill in how to heal sicknesses and wounds, they would often die young. While they had a few excellent fighters and hunters, they weren't as strong as the other beings, making farming their only quality, and they were the best at it.

During this time, the beings lived not interfering with each other, while each focused on growing and strengthening the realms. As a result, they have built communities and strengthened their knowledge. By using everything that the world gave them, they improved and simplified their lives.

After two thousand years, despite that they lacked many things, humans became greedy. It didn't last long before they wanted more power. First, they fought with each other, raining wars and killing their own without mercy. Then, when that didn't satiate them, they searched for more knowledge and would kill and burn anything that stood between them and their purpose. After discovering the other realms, they wanted to find out more. Soon enough, they wished to capture the other beings, experiment on them, and strive to achieve immortality.

Because they learned white witches were the best healers, they believed the witches possessed the power to grant them a never-ending life. Hence, they started a war against the white witches' realm. Unfortunately, the battle was short-lived, as white witches could barely keep up the fight with them. After winning the war, humans discovered the white witches had no such thing as immortality. And so, since they had yet to achieve their will, they turned to The Hollow Dominion. When the demons heard of their plan, they laughed and would've happily sent them to their graves if the humans dared to start a war with them. Still, the dark witches had another idea. If immortality was what they desired, they would give them that, but with a twist. The witches cast a curse on half of the humans to walk the mortal plane as living dead. For them to live forever, they had to die first. Hence, they can never have offspring of their likes. The sun will be their enemy, and they will only be able to walk in the night's darkness, tormented by an insatiable thirst for the blood of others. Because they feared the new-made creatures might rise against them when they discover the cost of immortality, the witches left ways of killing them. And that is how vampires were born.

Once the Gods heard about the witches doing, they were furious. Not only they disrupted the splitting of the realms, but the witches went against their will and gave humans something the Gods never intended on providing. So as a lesson to the witches' doings, The Gods combined their powers and made one unique being.

The Moon Goddess paired two powerful pureblood alphas together, and their union gave birth to Persephone. Persephone could either end the species or lead them into a significant era of peace with the Gods' blessing. Given she was the greatest werewolf ever created, she owned more powers than the ordinary werewolves. And so, she could rule over all Alphas having a deep link with all werewolves, could not be affected by magic, but she could use it, and her power was more substantial than the one of an ordinary witch. Besides, demons answered her calling and would be under her command, as her abilities would rule over theirs. In addition, she was bearing the dragon's mark on her arm, which made her royal in the Azure realm.

In contrast, the Gods erased the humans' minds, removing any memory about another being apart from them. Mocking the witches' curse, the gods made Persephone indestructible, yet that meant if a vampire ever got to taste her blood, the curse keeping it in the shadows would be lifted. In which case, the vampire will become the most powerful one and the only person who could kill him, Persephone herself.

Persephone ruled for three thousand years, and during her time, the realms have seen the most prolonged period of peace. Even though vampires seeking the supreme powers constantly attacked her, she kept them at bay, and so she united the five realms, which allowed the species to live in union. However, despite the realms uniting, The Azure realm has remained hidden from the humans. Hence, only supernatural beings knew of its existence.

For the longest time, Persephone was alone. The Moon Goddess refused to give her a mate, fearing the mate bond will make her weak, but seeing the profound loneliness and sadness Persephone felt moved the Moon Goddess, which granted her wish. After Persephone met her mate, Týr, she was delighted. They didn't have a pup of their own, but they lived joyfully, ruling over the realms. For ten years, things were good, and Persephone was madly in love with Týr. She could no longer see her life without him, and he loved her just as much.

Oh, dear child, I wish this would be a happy ending story, but you see, all good things must come to an end. Life is full of sadness, and the Gods doomed Persephone from her very first breath.

And so, one day, during a sudden attack, Týr was deadly injured. When Persephone saw him, her heart broke, and she offered the Gods a deal with her life. She lived long enough, and the species did not need her anymore. Hence, she traded her life for Týr's. Despite her pleadings, the gods refused her wish. At once, Persephone went mad with anger. Her cries have killed wolves just from the unbearable pain, and she has murdered many beings blindly. Given how her killing spree has placed all realms in danger, and she no longer was a peacekeeper, but The Destroyer, as beings called her. The gods united once more and trapped her in the depths of The Infernal Damnation so she could spend her life tormented by grief in a constant loophole of her lover's death. After Persephone's demise, the gods sworn another like her will not live again.

Eight thousand years later, everyone in the realms believed Persephone was only a myth. The work of fiction of a madman, no one could fathom she was ever real or that the gods will allow such creature to exist. In the present, species returned to fighting with each other. Even though there were parts where peace prevailed, the species were constantly at war. With time, all species became greedier, more ruthless, and a constant thirst for power and domination was bursting in each being.

It was the year 8080 when Anubis Mørke, the powerful Alpha of Crimson Moon and the President of Gemlight group, found his mate, Frigg Elsker. Identically, Frigg Elsker was the daughter of Moonlight Desire's pack Alpha, which made her a pure Alpha. Soon after Frigg's Luna ceremony, the Moon Goddess blessed them with a pup girl named Freyja.

This, my child, is Freyja's story. Her name, Freyja Mørke, will be a name long remembered. Some will curse it, some will fear it, and some will worship it, but none will forget it.
