Hermon was about to hit the metal stick on the ground but Mr Smith held it to stop it from hitting the ground.
" My son please come back to your senses, if this trident hit the ground then there would be disastrous results please my son listen to me!" Mr Smith shouted to get Hermon's attention. But he was way too angry that he did not pay heed to his words he pushed him back instead. The trident hit the ground and the water from the blue sea filled the blue mansion.
Mrs Smith was a normal human being she can not survive underwater but Hermon could not think about that. As soon as Hermon took notice that his mother could not swim and that she was drowning, he quickly forgot his anger and threw the trident on the floor, he tried reaching out to his mother but he fainted before he could reach her. "I'm so sorry mother" that was what he said before falling,he even had tears in his eyes.
In the morning Hermon found himself in his bed. He started remembering what had happened last night. He quickly got out of the room and headed straight to his mother's room when he remembered her drowning. Hermon stormed into the room without knocking, he found his mother getting ready on her dressing table.
"Mom" it slipped out of his mouth.
"Oh, good morning Hermon. How did you sleep my dear?" Mrs asked.
"I slept well mother but how did you sleep?" Hermon answered and asked confused at his mother's behaviour.
"I slept like a baby, my boy" Mrs answered cheerfully.
"What is going on mom and why are you getting all decked up?" Hermon asked.
"It is your sister's engagement ceremony today, do not tell me that you have already forgotten about it already." Mrs Smith reminded.
Hermon left her mom's room confused, how could his mother pretend as if everything is okay. It is as if nothing happened to her last night. Hermon met his father when he was walking on the corridor.
"Father what happened to mom?" Hermon asked his father.
"Good morning to you too son!" Mr Smith groaned.
"I'm sorry father, did you sleep well?" Hermon apologised and asked.
"Yes I slept well and you?"
"I did father, please tell me what had happened to me yesterday and why is mom acting so strange?" Hermon listed his confusion.
"You turned into a merman last night and that is who you really are my son." Mr Smith explained.
"I...I'm ...a...merman how is that possible father? I was born as a human and I grew up amongst humans how can I be a merman?" Hermon asked with his eyes turning red and covered in tears.
"My son you are a merman but you are not just a simple merman. You are the most powerful King Kisas! The supreme protector of the marine creatures, you are the king of the blue sea my son" Mr Smith explained.
"What kind of nonsense are you saying father, I'm sorry but I just can not agree with you." Hermon denied. " I just want to look for my wife, I'm missing her a lot."
"You can do that with ease" Mr Smith suggested.
"How?" Hermon asked.
"Just use your powers, you have a lot of powers just don't overuse them because you might get hurt."
"I will go mad if I stay here and listen to all of these, I'm going to look for my wife."
"Go son you will consult me when you have a problem, last night I was able to take care of your mom, she doesn't remember what happened last night, I did that so that she doesn't show you how disappointed she is with what you did. You have to realise your powers soon so that you can hunt Nogapele Agaton." Mr Smith said alone after Hermon had left.
