Everyone had thought that humanity reached its prime. When that was proven wrong, everyone wanted the power for themselves. There wasn't a person that could have power without being a target. It seemed unfair, groups of people banding together thinking it would give them a chance at survival.
They were wrong, it ended up making it worse. Every group made was getting destroyed from traitors and theives. This ended with Seattle destroyed along with most of the world and the sky turning red. The last survivors best chance were to bunker down, and only go out for the essentials. This new world made life before the chaos easy. Since understood how this happened they perceived it as a bad omen, a curse from the gods. It wasn't that simple, but because of this bad omen per say everyone could be categorized. The people that believe it was a punishment from God, others just wanting to survive, other killing and doing things to make this situation worse, and lastly the people who just killed themselves as the last way out of this new hell hole created by someone. Whether it was God who did this or not I just wanted survival in this new world and answers...
