Chapter 57 - TELEPORTATION GONE CRAZY

'BOOM!!" Gray Fullbuster sent another massive geyser of ice bursting out of the ground, letting it destroy several more vehicles.

People were running around in panic on the chrome streets as Psychic City soldiers were firing their weapons, trying desperately to take him down.

"Ice Make Shield!" Gray formed a massive shield of ice out in front of himself as he jumped back and preparing to send in anoteher attack. "Ice Make: Freeze Lancer!!!"

Soldiers flew everywhere as the ice projectiles smashed into their ranks and sent all of them flying.

"Ice Make: Battle Axe!" Gray swung a massive axe made of ice through the soldiers, freezing many of the ones he hit on the spot.

Gray popped his neck and back a little as he observed the ice covered scene. "Hmm..hopefully that attracted more of them."

The plan had been simple, to cause as much mayhem as possible during the hours that led up to when Psychic City would need to land for fuel. That way, the gaurd around the unboarding areas would be pretty much gone in an attempt to quell the panic.

Mikoto had been given the task of disrupting the city's powergrid down to the south. The illusion that the power was failing would create a greater urgency to land once the mountain was reached rather then have them stay in the air to find the intruders.

"Man.." said Gray. "We're starting to look more and more like terrorists."

"That's a pretty fair assessment."

Gray looked up to see General Musajime standing on a nearby building.

"Never seen your face before." said Gray.

"Oh? Do I not have an Earthland version?" said Musajime with a sigh. "Well that's a bummer, I was hoping to meet her."

"I didn't say you didn't have an Earthland version of you." said Gray. "I've just never met her...or him."

"Eh?" said Musajime. "What do you mean...him?"

"Let's just say there was one Earthland counterpart I met who was the opposite gender of what he/she usually was." muttered Gray. (Mary Hughes..if you ever saw the Keys to The Starry Skies arc..) "Anyways..I'm guessing you're here to be a pain in my neck.."

"That's rich coming from the one who started this whole rampage." snorted Musajime.

"After all, didn't you say you were a terrorist?" said another voice from behind Gray.

Gray whirled around to see Musajime standing there and instantly created a sword out of ice and sliced at her. However the sword merely phased through her like a hologram.

"That won't work." said the Musajimes on Gray's right and left. "You see I'm not completely in any of those locations."

The two Musajime's dissapeared and instantly, Gray was kicked from behind by one Musajime. Gray fell onto the floor then jumped back up gritting his teeth. "What the? Illusions?

"Heavens no." said Musajime chuckling. "It's what you might call, teleportation taken to the next level thanks to my A.E.A....having fun yet?"

"Tons." said Gray. "ICE MAKE: GEYSER!!"

Musajime suddenly dissapeared as the giant spire of ice crystals erupted out of the ground and she reappeared behind Gray. "Having trouble?"

But Gray was already ready with another ice sword, and he swung behind him. However, just like last time, the sword merely phased through Musajime.

"Oh my, I might actually be over here!" said another Musajime who peeked out from behind the ice geyser.

"W-what is this!?" Gray said feeling utterly shocked. "How are you doing this!?"

Gray thought he knew how to fight Teleporters. He had asked Kuroko to train with him for issues like this. He knew the general strategy, to always be ready to attack someone behind you or above you. But this was different..

The two Musajimes dissapeared and once again, the single Musajime appeared to Gray's right.

Gray lashed out his sword, but Musajime took the long flashlight from her belt and parried it quickly. (The flashlight is made out of an infusion of diamond, titanium and other supremely hard elements.) Musajime then waved the flashlight, and instantly a large dumpster appeared on top of Gray and fell on him with a crash.

Gray sliced the dumpster apart with his sword as he pushed it off of him. "Dang it.. Ice Make: Gungnir!!"

Musajime once again dissapeared as a massive spear of ice erupted out of the ground.

And so this continued for around 5 minutes..Gray would attempt to hit one of the doppelgangers of Musajime, which would fail, then a Musajime would teleport a large object right on top of Gray so he couldn't dodge in time.

"Man.." said Gray panting. "There's got to be some trick to this..."

"Giving up already?" Musajime asked twirling her flashlight around playfully. " I'll understand if you do..nobody's ever been able to figure out this trick except Mikaris..."

Wait...thought Gray. Now that I think about it...every time she attacked, it was always after her doppelgangers dissapeared...and she always appeared at about the same distance relative to the doppelgangers. This means something Gray..think!

Gray thought back to the first time he had asked Kuroko to help him train.

"Train you to fight teleportation?" Kuroko had asked. "Why?"

Teleporting is something that's present in both magic and esper abilities.." said Gray. "I thought it's best I be prepared with something so common. At any rate, your brand of teleporting seems to be a little more advanced then Doranbalt."

"Fine." said Kuroko. "But before we start, you have know the basics of esper teleporting first..."

"Basics?"

"Yeah..otherwise, fighting the bigger types like level 4s will be sad affair for somebody like you who just uses straightforward defense and attack." said Kuroko. "For example..say I was going to attack you right now...what would you do?"

I'd make an Ice Shield." said Gray.

"But then I could easily teleport around the shield and attack you from behind." said Kuroko. "Or I can get even more unexpected and drop kick you from above. With teleportation, it's all about utilizing unexpected and instant stealth...a teleporter would have to instantly know where she or he wants to go, or his or her lack in concentration could result in them teleporting into a wall or something way less dignified."

"Would there ever be a situation where the teleporter can wait and watch to be able to see where is best to teleport?" Gray asked.

"Well, with what I've heard about magic.." said Kuroko. "So far there doesn't seem to be hope for mages in that regard. "However..there are some esper abilities that allow pseudo teleportation."

"Pseudo teleportation?"

Kuroko nodded. "That's right...it's where the person can teleport part of their conscious matter to another location to watch and see things...like an untouchable phantom...the part they leave behind also becomes intangible...it's a very rare ability though...and those with Pseudo teleportation usually can't use full teleportations..."

Gray flashed back to the present..a grin on his face. "Heh...so that's how you're doing it.."

"Oh?" said Musajime. "You seem to have developed some sort of overconfidence despite the beating I've been handing you. Here, this should snap you back to reality.."

Musajime teleported right next to Gray again. But this time...Gray just stood there. "Sorry, I've seen that pattern before.."

Musajime smirked. "Oh, but you still have to deal with-" Musajime teleported away..

"This!" Musajime shouted teleporting right next to Gray with a hand gun pulled out of her pocket. Instead of firing the gun however, Musajime dropped it, koffing up a bit of blood as she realized that a long ice blade was imbedded in her stomach..

"Y-you knew...I would be here?" said Musajime.."How!?"

"It all made sense once I remembered what Kuroko told me about teleporting abilities." said Gray. "Your armor enhances your power so that you can do pseudo teleportation...one part of you teleports somewhere else, while the other also teleports to another area, both of them being incomplete halves that aren't able to interact physically...which is why I couldn't see the third you before she attacked...she wasn't hiding..she was the two doppelgangers in an incomplete state.. I then noticed that you always reappeared at right around the symmetrical area between the distances of where your clones were...that's why you would sometimes walk around before you attacked..so your range wasn't too short or far off..I just had to go from there, do a bit of distance estimation, and attack just as you teleported..."

Gray grinned. "It's a long winded explanation..I know. But I have indulge and show off once in a while."

"How does a stupid mage know so much about...uggh.*cough* *cough*...espers?" said Musajime.3

"When one of your best friends is one..it's hard not to try and find out more about them." said Gray. "Apparently, you never bothered to find out much about us mages..there's more to us then just plain old reckless attacks with random spells."

As Musajime fell to the ground groaning in pain, Gray put a hand over the wound and formed a sheet of ice on it..

"Dork..bandaging up the enemy?" said Musajime. "What kind of stupid trick is this?"

"No tricks." said Gray. "I just prefer not to kill people...ou really need to lighten up..come to think about it...this entire city could use something like that."

Musajime smirked. "Man what a jerk..I would have been fine if you just let me die.."

Gray raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You don't get it ya smug bastard." said Musajime. "The Divine Generals never lose.."

"Well there's a first for everything." said Gray.

"No.." said Musajime. "I mean that if there ever is a first time...it's always the last..there were 2 other generals before me...why are they not here? Well they lost...and they survived afterwords."

"Are you kidding me!?" said Gray. "What happened to them?"

"Who knows..." said Musajime. "All the Psychic Supreme ever tells us is that human cells make a good fuel resource...I think we can pretty much guess from there...so you might as well kill me now...I'm dead anyways.."

Gray stared silently for a moment...then he took Musajime and slung her over his shoulder.

"Wait! What the heck!?" said Musajime. "What are you doing!?"

"Even if it is an enemy.." said Gray. "I'm not the kind of guy let's somebody surrender to such a stupid ending...you're coming with me...and you're going to live."

"You idiot! They have tracking on my suit...they'll find you easier this way!"

"All the better..they say the best thing a terrorist can hope for is attention right?" said Gray as he put a hand on his shirt and tore it off.

"Wh-what!?" said Musajime going red. "D-did you just take off your shirt!?"

"Yeah? So?"

Musajime went even redder. "If this is some lame ass attempt to make me fall for you then.."

Gray ignored her and ran off with her slung over his shoulder as Musajime finished her sentence in her mind.

-then..it's working.. and with that, Musajime went red as a strawberry.

Far west side of the city.

"RUN!! SHE'S COMING SHE'S COMING!!!!" A soldier shouted as he dashed away from what he believed to be a female demon with swords.

Erza dashed through the city area, changing armors and weapons at random, demolishing entire sky scrapers and streets as she tore through the area. She didn't kill a single person however, taking care to only let her rage out on the streets and buildings. This was a distraction, not a fight festival.

However, her anger was real. As it turned out, before she had come to this Edolas, Edo-Natsu and Edo-Lucy had come to her with a request...and when she heard it..it set her blood boiling..

As it turned out, many of the couples in Edo-Fairy Tail actually had children..including Natsu Dragion and Lucy Ashley....and all those children had been stolen by Psychic City. (Wow, a 7 year gap changes alot of stuff..)

And if that wasn't enough, after what Mikoto told Erza about the conversation she had with Mikaris, it seemed that Psychic City liked to torture esper abilities into children...other then that..she wasn't sure about much...but one thing she was sure of...she was going to take this 'distraction' as an opportunity to find those kids...

"Out of my WAY!!" Erza sliced several gigantic mechs in half as their pilots jumped out in terror.

She donned her flame empress armor and did several slashing motions, igniting a fiery wall around several of the soldiers who were still not running.

She landed in the middle of the group and grabbed one man by the collar. "The children you people took from that other Edolas after you took over..where are they?"

"I-I'm not sure.." muttered the soldier. "I-I'm just a grunt...I'm not even in the esper division of the military...I'm pretty sure I'm level 0..."

"Well give me your best guess." Erza snarled.

"W-well, I think the ones who get tested for esper abilities are brought over to the CFPED (Center For Primary Esper Development) near the center of the city.." said the man fearfully. "It's got a big tower with their logo on it, you can't miss it!"

"Thank you for your cooperation." Erza smacked her head straight into the man's forhead, immediately causing the guy to go unconscious.

"Whaaaaahh!!" The soldiers hugged each other. "Scary!!"

Erza jumped out from the surrounding flames and made to walk away. But she suddenly felt a powerful magic presence. Erza rolled to the side as 'The Slicer' Kanzaki brought both her blades down into the metal road.

"Your reflexes.." said Kanzaki. "They aren't those of an amateur...good. That means this fight will be quite entertaining.."

Erza raised her sword angrilly. "I don't have time to play with you.."

"Oh really? I thought your main objective was to attract as much attention as possible so you could lessen the gaurd around our borders enough to leave.."

Erza gritted her teeth. "And what if we are?"

"*sigh* when will the enemy learn that Mikaris can pretty much predict every move they make?" said Kanzaki.

"So, it was her agian hmm?" said Erza. "Well, I guess I have no choice but to take your challenge then.."

"BLAAAAMMM!!!" a massive flame engulfed Erza as the caster of the spell stepped out from behind Kanzaki. " Make that two challenges.

Erza brushed the flames aside with her sword looking at the familiar red haired man, who seemed to be wearing monk robes rather then his usual priest outfit.

"Stiyl Magnus!?"

"Stiyl Regulus." Stiyl corrected, his expression dim and bored (This Stiyl is pretty dull isn't he?)

"As you can see.." said Kanzaki.."The tables have already turned in our favor."

"Yuisen (Single Flash)" suddenly there was a bright blue slashing mark for just an instant before Kanzaki blocked the blow with a flash of sparks.

"Wh-what is this!!?"

Suddenly, a girl who looked just like Edo-Kanzaki, only she wore blue jeans with one leg cut off at her hip and skimpy white shirt plus just one sword, landed in front of Erza. "Well obviously I'm the one whose come to turn the table back."

Railgun In Fairy Tail Trivia. Part 6.

1. Unlike her Edolas self, Awaki Musajime cannot so easily teleport her own body without hurting it...instead she relies on merely teleporting other objects and using them as shields or weapons.

2. As Shiage Hamazura is no longer the leader of Skill Out, the group has been taken over by Jackal formerly of the dark guild Tartarus. Jackal's motives for taking over Skill Out are currently unknown..but so far, the rest of Skill Out merely follow him out of fear, for they do not respect him at all.

3. Though Aquarius's key was destroyed during the Tartarus Arc, she eventually regains the key through unknown means hinted by Hiro.. ( a lucky explanation for Aquarius's past appearance in the first book.)

4. Natsu and Gunha (Attack Crash) share an especially tight friendship and friendly rivalry. Natsu once asked Gunha if he would like to join Fairy Tail..however Gunha turned the offer down for unknown reasons, stating that it was better if he waited a few months before making a decision like that. Natsu and Gunha tend to make a habit of playing annoying pranks on Gray whenever they get together.

5. The last time Lucy summoned Gemini before this book, the twins changed into Gray again who immediately started stating Gray's opinion on Mikoto, which was, "New girl to the guild, Smarter then she looks, pretty darn scary..flat chested, but a hotty nontheless". Luckilly Mikoto was too busy scolding Natsu to notice.1

6. Nicole can't swim, a trait that has always caused her trouble on some missions. Mikoto once tried to teach Nicole how to swim, but during the lesson, a Sea King (if you don't know what that is, look at One Peice) attacked. Though Mikoto easily defeated the giant sea monster, Nicole was too scared to go back into the water after that.

7. Natsu is officially banned from the White House. One time, when Mikoto was on a special field trip with her school to visit America, Natsu and Lucy came along, and somehow Natsu got lost and made it into the White House without the Secret Service noticing..when the Secret Service attempted to force him out after he was caught eating chips at the President's desk, Natsu thought they were enemies and beat all of them up, giving the President a ginormous black eye in the process. The President now has several restraining orders on Natsu and he is not allowed to go within 50 feet of Washington D.C.

8. Fairy Tail's dimension was once visited a year ago by a certain orange haired boy claiming to be something called a Substitue Soul Reaper. Descriptions of him remain scarce except for the fact that he tended to scowl a lot, and he slew a strange masked creature that was attempting to devour Toma E. Fiore, king of Fiore.
