Chapter 38
I was lying awake in my bed, tossing and turning. It had been two hours since I laid myself on my bed with the purpose of sleeping. But all the revelations Queencie and my mom spoke about ran like a never ending playlist in my head. Karma was looking at me confused, still it was there snuggling close to me.
I ran my finger into its soft fur, "my boyfriend is an immortal." I was mostly telling it to myself but Karmameowed as if telling me 'whatever'. I sighed as I turned to my side facing the window. It was open and I could see the stars twinkling. I couldn't help but flutter my eyes close to slumber. I was tired from all the thinking.
All I wanted was for the darkness to embrace me. A dreamless sleep would have been perfect. But as soon as sleep took over my physical body my eyes opened into our mind fuse.
"I wanted to sleep, you know." I muttered looking at him in all godlike glory lying in a bed beside me.
