The carriage that Rion and his family were in made their way through the city streets passing many shops and other such place's before they arrived at another checkpoint.
When they arrived at the checkpoint they recieved a similar reception they had gotten at the one prior after the same scene played out they ended having to pass through another two checkpoints before they would arrive at their destination.
From what he had seen so far Rion had deduced that the first area of the capital was were the poorest of the commoners would live like those who did manual labour like blacksmiths and adventures and even the lower division of the Knights.
The second area that they came across was more for the middle class commoners those that had job's in medicine or other such job's.
The next checkpoint that they arrived turned out to be the entrance to the district that most of the nobility or the heads of merchant guilds lived the material of this checkpoint while looking the same as the one for the commoners was of a much better quality.
The last checkpoint that they stopped at was the place where only those that were blood relatives to the King or Queen were allowed to live and as you would've guessed this entrance was even more extravagant than the one that the nobility and high ranked merchant's used.
Besides the difference in the quality of the materials used for each checkpoint the further they got to the castle the number of people they saw decreased while the number of Knight's increased.
It didn't take long before the carriage that Rion was riding in ended up arriving at their destination.
When the carriage came to a stop Rion alighted from the carriage and was awed by the sight before him.
The castle might have been impressive from afar but up close it was even more so the golden lines that he saw formed a seal that looked like a gold feathered bird that had a pair of silver white eye's.
Even though it was just a image Rion felt a majesty and grace from it that made him feel that he needed to bow in reverence.
Rion was only able to snap back to reality when his father placed his hand on his shoulder "I remember the first time I saw the great Solar Pheonix which is known to be the embodiment of purifying light I was stuck unable to move for hour's before someone found me" Nialan said before he walked towards the entrance of the castle with his mother and siblings.
Against his better judgement Rion gave the image one last glance but unlike before he wasn't frozen in place when he looked at the image of the Solar Pheonix 'What was that?' Rion thought to himself before he followed after his family not wanting to be left behind.
The inside of the castle was decorated with various pictures some of which where portraits while other's were of creature's or landscapes each with their own golden frame, the floor's were sparkling white that had a long carpet that went down the entire hall that was gold in colour with silver white trimmings.
As Rion made his way inside he saw his family talking to a Knight but unlike the one's they had seen at the checkpoints this Knights armour was more detailed.
It was silver in colour just like the other Knights but this Knight had white flourishes that slowly made their way to a golden gem that was inlaid on his chest as blue coloured tabard hung from his waist with an image of a Solar Pheonix that was silver in colour.
As he got closer Rion could hear his father talking to the Knight with a tone he had only heard him use when he was talking to Zeldain and Yutas who not only served as his right hand men in the town guard but were also his friends since childhood.
So seeing his father treat someone the same way as he did with those who were practically family to him was a rare sight "and this young man must be little Rion he was only a babe when I saw him last" the Knight said with a smile on his mustached face.
Rion was able to remember everything from the moment he was born and remembered the day he met him clearer than usual.
The reason why he remembered it more clearly than normal was because his home was particularly loud that day 'What was his name again?' Rion thought and even though he did recognise the Knight he was never very good at remembering people's name's.
While Rion was lost in his memories of that day he, his family and the Knight made thier way towards the throne room and before he knew it they had arrived in front of a large door that was adorned with the same insignia if the Solar Pheonix he had seen outside.
Rion, his family and the Knight whose name Rion remembered Inaral Ender who was not only a Knight but he also had a noble title of a Marquis stood in front of the large imposing door which Rion assumed was the throne room.
The silence pervaded until Inaral walked up to the door and shouted "Captain Inaral Ender of the Solar Knight's reporting in your Majesty I have guided Baron and Baroness Ashcroft as instructed" Inaral announced in a loud booming voice.
A few seconds passed without any response but just as Rion was about to speak the door opened with a bang "You may enter" a male voice said that made Rion and his siblings break out in a cold sweat as soon as they heard it.
Even though Nialan and Atrica had noticed their children's reaction to the King's voice they acted as if they didn't and headed into the throne room.
Rion watched as his parent's headed into the throne room and took a deep breath before he followed after them.
When Rion entered the throne room it was what he expected it to be a large room filled with Knight's standing at attention leading all the way up to two thrones.
Stood close but not too close were a group of men and women and even though his focus was on the Eruni man and woman that were sitting on the thrones, even though he was focused on the Eruni man and woman Rion could still feel the hostility that the nobles were sending in his families direction.
Rion looked at the Eruni man and woman who were sitting on the two thrones and knew that they could only be the King who wanted to meet him and the Queen.
The King had short golden blonde hair that had a few streaks of white in it showing the King's age, his eye's were a mixture of silver and blue and despite the few wrinkles that were on the King's face he was an incredibly handsome man.
The Queen was the very picture of elegance with dark midnight blue hair and snow white skin that looked flawless, her eye's were a golden amber in colour that only highlighted her snow white skin.
When he got close enough Rion noticed how the King wasn't releasing any Mana 'He made me feel like I could barely breath with just his voice alone this must be the presence of a King' Rion thought as he stopped in front of the King where his family was kneeling before he quickly joined them.
