Rion wasn't able to keep Cryon and Night summoned for long before he had to dismiss them.
Although Summoned Beast's didn't need to eat like other lifeforms when they consumed food as a result it reduced the amount of Mana that their summoner needed to expend to keep them summoned.
However even with the help of the food that Cryon and Night consumed Rion still had to eventually dismiss them.
Just as Rion and his grandmother Anaelia were finishing their meal the doors to the room were flung open so fast that they ended up causing a loud bang.
THUD!
Rion and Anaelia turned in the direction of the sound where they saw two familiar people standing in the doorway one who had a pleased expression on his face while the other wore an expression that was completely neutral.
The two people who burst into the room were his grandfather Estarian and Calanire "I managed to get Calanire to agree to be Rion's teacher as well as allow him to stay with him during his stay in the Capital" Estarian announced aloud as he and Calanire who had a schooled expression on his face drew close enough.
Rion looked at his grandfather before he turned to look at Calanire who no matter how hard he tried failed to hide the slight twitch of his eye when Estarian spoke.
Normally this slight slip in his mask would've gone unnoticed but because of how close he was Rion was able to see the slight slip in his mask and was able to tell that Calanire wasn't as happy with this arrangement as his grandfather let on.
Rion wondered just what happened between his grandfather and Calanaire that made Calanire agree to be Rion's teacher.
Calanire let out a tired huff before he spoke "Haaah~ If you have nothing else to say then the boy and I shall get going" Calanire said before he swiftly turned around and made his way towards the exit.
When Calanire arrived at the exit of the room he stopped and turned to look at Rion "Hurry up I haven't got all day" Calanire said as he stood waiting for Rion at the exit.
Not wanting to try his luck Rion hurried to Calanire's side knowing that from the few interactions that he had with him even if he had agreed to allowing him to stay with him he would still change his mind.
Rion grandparent's watched as their grandson left with Calanire.
When the two were gone Anaelia smacked the grinning Estarian over the back of his head "Ow what was that for?" Estarian said the grin falling from his face as he turned to his wife while rubbing the back of his head.
Anaelia looked at her husband with a look that was a mixture of annoyance and disappointment "That hit was well deserved because of you my time with my precious grandson was cut short" Anaelia said as she made her way out of the room.
Estarian looked at his wife's back as she walked away and decided to chase after her knowing that if he left her he would be the one to suffer.
If Rion saw how his grandparent's were acting he would realise the striking similarities with how his parent's acted.
================
Rion and Calanire had made their way out of the castle and were inside a carriage that was bound for Calanire's residence, not a word was spoken between the two the only thing that could be heard was the wheel's of the carriage as it moved along the rode.
Seeing that Calanire wasn't going to speak Rion decided to look out of the window of the carriage at the capital's streets and the people as they went about their day for the rest of the journey.
As the carriage left the Royal District the surprise on Rion's face was evident as he assumed that since Calanire had the title of Duke like most people he would live in the Royal district.
When the carriage continued through the noble district Rion became curious about why they had continued through the noble district until he remembered how the nobles acted when he and his family entered the throne room which made him glad that he wouldn't be staying in the noble district.
The carriage continued to pass through the commerce district were most of the middle class commoners lived which made Rion to grow curious once more.
The carriage only showed signs of stopping when they entered the poorest area of the capital which changed his curiosity to that of confusion 'Why would someone with the title of Duke choose to live in the poorest area?' Rion thought to himself wondering why someone with such a high position would intentionally live in the poorest area.
Rion was left to his musings as the carriage continued traveling for another 30 minute's after it entered the poorest area of the capital only coming to a stop in front of some rusty black gate's.
Rion tried to look past the rusty black gate's to try and get a glimpse of were he would be staying for the next three year's but to his surprise he couldn't see anything.
Errrrrrggggghhhh!
The rusty black gate's opened with an ear splitting screech before the carriage entered through the gate's.
As soon as the carriage wheel's made contact with the road that led further inside the relatively comfy carriage ride suddenly became uncomfortable.
As the carriage jostled Rion looked out the window and saw the reason for the sudden bumpy ride the road that looked like it hadn't been tended too in year's.
The road was filled with cracks and from the cracks there were brownish yellow weeds growing from between them.
Before Rion could look at the surroundings further the carriage suddenly shook which resulted in him in hitting his head on the wooden frame of the carriage.
Thud.
Rion hissed in pain as he gripped his head "Argh shit that hurt" Rion said as he rubbed the spot on his head that was quickly becoming red.
By the time the pain had subsided Rion noticed that the carriage had come to a stop in front of a two story house that looked as though it could collapse at any second.
Rion stared at the house in front of him stunned at what he was seeing until a voice came from outside the carriage "Will you hurry up and get out already" Calanire said as he looked at Rion through the open carriage door.
