(A/N: This chapter goes back to Ebony's perspective ;))
"Great! I'm stuck in another room...How lovely of you to give me a tour of all your rooms inside this humble abode. It's been so delightful that I would gladly leave this place and go home. Thank you very much... HELLLLOOOOO!" Ebony screamed to herself as she sat strapped to a bed which was locked inside a metal cage which was then placed in... yes you guessed it yet another concrete room.
" I see you guys ain't a fan of doors much, huh. Or windows for that matter... but let me tell you, I love a nice wide open exit that allows me to leave here without having a bullets and knives lodged into me... Orrrr even a window I can smash through, I'll pay for the damages of course... I just wannaaa to leave this plaaaace " she whined as her body began to get pins and needles for lying too long.
"Alright, alright! I'm willing to settle for another weak concrete wall like the last one I bust through to esc-leave. Now this is my final offer I don't think I can bust through anything stronger than that...Without breaking a bone or two. " she bargained with the silence that filled the room.
" *crackle* Be quiet if you don't we'll have no choice but to sedate you ES261" a voice crackled through a speaker, ebony jumped up expecting to hear her good ol' pal Dr. Ghosty. Only to be let down by the dull, life draining voice of some random guy.
"Awww Where's my favourite buddy hmmm? Did he freak out and take a heart attack?" she asked excitedly whilst crossing her fingers for his painful death. Silence followed and she asked another question, "Soooo, about that kid did he...?"
"*Crackle* I warned you to be quiet. If you refuse this time we will be left no choice but to forcefully silence you." He exhaled, boredom blatant in his tone.
"Geez, it was only a question no need to get so snappy Mr grumpy pants" she huffed, pouting at his lack of amusement.
Not knowing how many hours or days it had been since she went unconscious after being shot in the eye, she felt unsettled and the urge to run wild was boiling under skin. Deciding it was best to drift of into a deep sleep, as it was the only place she could freely run around in, she closed her eyes.
Hours passed by and she slept like a baby, until the crackling noise went off again, waking her up from a dream where she was chasing foxes around. Groogy from her sleep she began whinging,
"Nnggg, why did you wake me uppppp... I almost caught that sneaky fox that stole my breakfast"
"Hungry are we?" a voice asked in amusement, as Ebony tried to open her heavy eyes.
"Mmm yeah. I wants to have a big plate of bacon and pork chops and lamb chops and chicken wings with a side of rabbit. I'm so hungry I could eat a raw deer" salivating at the thought of all the types of meat, her stomach growled.
"I'm sure you could." Ebony's eyes widened, as she realised it was her most favourite person speaking.
"Dr. Ghosty it's you. I thought you'd left to find your mummy to wipe your tears away, take it she lives far away for it to take you so long. It was soooo boring without you here to... Amuse me, hehe" Ebony giggled trying not to show him her true emotions.
"Yes. I bet it was boring without me here, but don't worry we'll be spending a long, long time together. Ha, I bet you'll be begging the boredom to come back" he retorted obviously playing the same acting game.
"Why, I absolutely can't wait for that day to come" she smiled, displaying her set of pearly whites for him to see as she ran her tongue over the top of them in hunger.
"Hah, me aswell" exhausted, he glanced at Ebony's unfazed expression. Gripping his hands, he decided that it was time for him to begin his actual work and not entertain this child's immature behaviour.
Turning to the guard in the security room, he reminded him not to open the door until he signaled him to. Determined, he left to visit her cell which was redesigned to keep her caged inside.
Entering her confinement, he smirked seeing her so vulnerable; strapped to a bed inside a silver cage. Silver supposedly being an anti-werewolf weapon according to the history records.
"Not so tough now, are you? Poor thing" he taunted, as he signaled the guard to open the cages door.
"ohhh, Ghosty your here, thought you'd got cold feet when you went quiet before" she sneered, realizing his childish behavior was somehow meant to make her feel sad, "Did your mum phone to let you know it'll all be OK and that she always got a shoulder free for you to cry on, poor thing."
"Stop trying to get a rise out of me ES261, luckily for you I don't have a mum to cry to anymore because your kind killed her" he grunted, while pulling a tray of tools out from under the bed.
"Wow really" she snorted, while watching him organise himself, chuckling, "isn't that ironic..."
"What? Ironic?" he questioned confused at whar she was on about. He turned to face her, as he put on a plastic face sheild and arm pads for protection.
"Yeah because just like my kind killed your mother...your kind killed my mother too. Oh, and my dad and my grandparents, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins and so on. I guess all their lives will never make up for the loss of your mummy, huh?" She sighed as sadness filled her eyes, knowing it didn't matter how nice werewolves were they would still be discriminated just because they weren't human.
Shocked, he looked at the sadness in her eyes and ignored the tight feelings of conflict in his chest. He told himself that what he was doing was right and that their kind had killed countless humans, that her family were probably killed by humans as an act of self defense.
"Nevermind... You wouldn't understand it anyway because you haven't been hated by the majority of the world since the second you were born. You've never had to hide because there are people hunting you down like prey, but then say that you're the predator. So I don't know why I would expect an ounce of understanding from you when all you can see me as is the person who killed your mother. At least I don't see every human as the one's who killed my family even though every human I've met so far was responsible for their deaths" she exhaled, tired of holding in the thoughts that tormented her mind everyday.
"Quiet!" the doctor yelled, as he glared down at her tear filled face, "Don't come seeking sympathy from me because I won't and can't give it to you. "
"Hah I know that, but I don't want you to tell me on your death bed that you 'didn't know' as an excuse" she breathed, calming her sudden emotional outburst. She began watching him prepare her, as he lifted a flap in the middle of the plastic covering revealing her stomach.
"I guess this is where the torture begins right ghosty... Ohh wait I got it wrong 'experiments' right?"
"hah, yeah you got it wrong, only that isn't the part you got wrong my name isn't ghosty" he began as he slowly sliced a vertical line from her chest down to her stomach forgetting the anesthesia as she screamed in pain.
"It's Dr. Swan"
'Ugggg... When will this hell loop end?'
