"I can't let you there. At least you talk to me now. Isn't that great... You can open your eyes now. The horror scene is gone, I assure you." said Aaron.
Mai was scared but how long did she want to close her eyes so she slowly opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Aaron smiling at her. The man was right, there was no blood but Mai caught a glimpse of the white towel that was still covering the left side of Aaron's stomach.
The towel was thick enough, the blood didn't seep through. Aaron's right hand pressed hard against it, his hand was clean and free of bloodstains.
"Don't look back!" said Aaron.
Mai nodded, she didn't want to know what was behind. Aaron was probably hiding the remnants of this mess there.
"Are you okay?" said Aaron. This is the umpteenth time Aaron asks if Mai is fine.
"Please don't get panic," he begged.
Mai nodded slowly even though she wasn't sure. How could she not panic?
"I... I'm fine," she lied.
