GIA
"You think you can bring her back?" kai mocked angrily
"I can" I assured firmly "Maybe she didn't get enough" I put my hand forward again when I noticed a very dark patch of blood in the front of her shirt. I unbuttoned her shirt and there I fell back
"How?" I said disoriented at the sight, not that it was the first time I had seen that but Maya's an individual I've come to know
"She's missing a heart" he stated the obvious, Maya's chest was void
"No, this is wrong. I-I should be able to do something to bring her back, I have the power" I slit my hand quickly again, positioning my bleeding hand over her mouth painting it red with my blood before it reached into her throat
"Please," I pleaded quivering with tears, after failed attempts of feeding her my blood thus failing in reviving her, I was in utter confusion. I thought Ruby said my blood was limitless, it knew no bounds.
"This is not possible, it should work!" I screamed out falling into anger filled tears, I didn't felt responsible, I was responsible indeed for her death; for the misery her mate was in and for the lost to the whole pack and my new found friend. I want to make him pay; he said he wouldn't harm either of them. I heard Jake's slow, heavy steps coming from behind me breathing like he's walked through towns.
"Who did this?" I asked letting my palm rest against her cold cheeks, her face muscled were so relaxed that you would think she's never used them before "Gia, look at me"
"WHO DID THIS?" My voice rang with anger throughout the dungeon; Jake didn't flinch at my outburst towards him. I stared into his pain filled and extremely weak eyes, I realized the pain I was feeling was nonetheless not even a speck in the ocean of wallows he was currently in. I stood to my feet and walked towards him, reaching him I broke into more tears and engulfed him in a hug. I squeezed him in-between my arms and sobbed over his shoulders
"I'm sorry. I truly I'm" I apologized while he silently hugged me back. After consoling each other mostly me Jake doesn't speak a word, he's visually broken. I went over her corpse hoist her up in my arms like a newly born child, I hugged her against my chest, dipping my fingers against her skin; it felt like a heavy weight in my mind and not even felt in my arms. I walked and Jake followed behind closely, I went up the stairs and I noticed the door was opened and the guards weren't just two anymore. They stood in a threatening stance not really coming to attack but glancing at one another and then at me
"I think you will have to make a decision wisely. If you'd rather go through me then I promise you will not feel a thing went I consume you whole" I threatened
"Its better you leave this between us and your Lord" Jake declared coming from beside me protectively. They all heed to his advice and in fear of their lives that I would none hesitantly take from the smog of ambiguity in my mind. The guards split in half their eyes rolled with my movement until I was out of sight and into the inner building again. There no one dared to question me but just eye balled me until I could no longer feel their specific gaze before others surface. I knew exactly where he would be, in his throne hall, where it all started and probably ending too
"Orpheus!" I kicked opened the door and stormed inside before facing him from far of the other end, I could see how his features or his act of cool didn't even shift.
"You have fucked up your fate!" All the other vampires in the hall hissed and formed a wall in front of him to protect him, this time the fight will be mine to win. I set Maya's body aside and watched each of them, the one that would dare to come at me first.
"STOP" He stopped their foolish decisions to come at me while with a flick of my wrist they would all be a heap in the ground. He crossed in-between us elegantly like he were to have both sides of the room into one merry group.
"You can't even control your own vampires" That was the first blow came right to his cheek with all my aggregation focused on the punch, my hand connect to his soft skin and plunged inward until I bruised his jaw bone; he stumbled back at the force of it, a single trail of blood trickled down the corner of his mouth but his demeanor barely showed he was just assaulted at the least he expected. I heaved with rage stopping just at one before spurting more and hitting him uncontrollably until he sits in his blood then offers me a way to bring her back.
"I see you have the body of one of your wolf helpers with you" lord Orpheus stated breathing heavily casually peeked over my shoulder towards her body
"She's not just a helper but my friend" I roared
"it's not hard to realize your deal was just another façade to get me having your greed for power satisfied" he glanced at me momentarily for a moment showing a genuine cluelessness about the demise of my friend before looking at her again. He turned around and threaded casually towards his cathedra saying
"You know I don't take my words back just like I had no knowledge of her death" I darted towards him intercepting his mission to reach the throne. In his eyes, it was visible to some degree there are some bits of sincerity to his acclaim but either way with or without his knowledge he was responsible for them. He was to be accounted for anything that happened down there because he gave me his word for it
"Who bears her heart?" I asked
"We will have to look into that. But first why is my prisoner free?"
"He's not a prisoner any longer," I was so assertive that it made his ever still demeanor shifted, his olive shaped eyes enlarged for a span of a second. It was clear he wasn't going to argue, he patted his clothing down before answering
"Alright then, shall we?"
