Fire raged down, water flowed, air spiraled into a tornadoe and boulders were thrown.
There were only six dragons in Trinity's group, and around fifty with the blasted Dragon Lord. The black brown dragon dodged the tree that came flying towards her, and hit an unsuspecting pink dragon, who looked up in anger and asked the metallic one, "who's side are you on?" before being hit by a rock, while the black brown dragon got the chance she wanted as landslide happened right on top of her distracted opponent.
The ice blue dragons were fighting side by side, close to the waters edge, in case they needed to merge. Tyrone had strictly warned his cousins that they cannot become one unless it's a life and death situation.
Dragonia was fighting a few dragons, who, she felt were angry at her for some reason. They tried to bite her, but she barely missed one, when the other, a red colored one, bit at her wing, which she saved, but ended up been biten on the side. The orange dragon howled in pain, and pushed at the red dragon scratching its scaled body, making it get back, only for another to bite her tail.
She grew tired and just used her fire to set them ablaze, and since they were all so close, they couldn't escape. Before she could celebrate her little victory, a few others came flying in spraying her with water and fire.
Drake was also wrapped up in his fights, as an ash colored dragon was trying to bite his neck, but instead, got his leg locked up in the massive brown dragon's jaws.
The thunderstorm was no longer needed, as the sun had set from the field of view and darkness had crept out of hiding.
What no one saw was a stupendous black dragon, as dark as the pitch blackness of a moon-less night, soaring high above them, watching; waiting. It felt proud to see that his dragons were fighting well, not caring for the traitors that fled like smoke in the wind.
Ah, the brown and black colored dragon, Martha, was too distracted. Killing her would mean that snake Trinity will hurt. The others were fighting, but were fully aware of their surroundings, even the rainbow dragon, Stacey. She was never anyone more than a maid, but her fighting skills.. as the majestic beast watched, she was able to dodge a boulder thrown at her, and divert another towards the blue dragon who was sneaking up from behind her.
There she was, Triyast's child, dodging a spray of water, while very careful firing enough fire balls to anoy her opponent. Now they were claw in claw with each other, trying to bite each other's head off their wings flapping with such force, he was surprised the house below was still standing.
Her mate, the brown dragon, who had once tried to fight him but failed miserably. Had dawn not started showing, he would have killed this pathetic lizard the same day he took the life of his mother.
There was another traitor; the blueish green dragon, who called herself a doctor! A doctor who left her dying patients and fled. A doctor who thought she'd get away with turning her back on her duties. A doctor his foot. There was blood dripping from her jaws, as the purple beast struck another blow of hot air at her face. A smile crossed the black dragons lips, only to falter, as Dr Elise sprayed boiling water at the purple dragons face, making her howl in pain. She was just deceiving her opponent, as she absorbed the hot vapor, and somehow mixed it with her water, creating boiled water.
The Dragon Lord was loosing. It was time he stepped into the picture, his first target was the twins, who, if merged, would prove a real threat. But how? Firstly, they were very close to the water, and one mistake from him, and they'd be unstoppable; and secondly they were both too close to each other. Even if Ryphonsus was to severely harm them, they would both fall into the liquid below them, and that would not be a good thing.
He had to draw them away from the water. He flew silently above one ice blue dragon and catching hold of its wing, flew backwards, high above the water, and eventually away from it. As planned, the other one quickly flew after her brother, to save him from the clutches of death. Unbeknownst to her, she was flying right into the Dragon Lord's trap.
A blood curdling screech rang through the crowd as the breaking of bones could be heard, followed by a heart renching scream filled with agony and pain, as the green eyed, boy fell towards the ground, lifeless. Not only was his wings broken off the socket, but his neck was also broken.
Emeralda caught her twin brother mid air and landed on the ground, turning back into human form, eyes wet with tears. It was like a part of her died. "JJJAAACCCCKKKK!" She let out a sorrowful scream.
Tyrone was the first to reach by her side, as he knew that Emeralda was now vulnerable, as twins were said to be one dragon separated into two bodies, and since their bond had grown stronger in the past twenty-three years, with the death of one the other would be so weak, she could also die of a heartbreak.
Just as the Dragon lord inched closer, a missile zoomed towards him, just missing him by a centimeter. More and more missiles were shot, three trucks came into sight, and shouts of warfare sounded. Now, with renewed energy, Trinity's group fought valiantly, while Tyrone took Esmarald's lifeless body back inside the house, followed by a weeping Emeralda. "You will forever be remembered, Jack," Tyrone whispered, as he lay his brother in the living room, much to the astonishment of the two witches, who had placed a protection spell on them all; but the twins were one all along, so they could only protect one...
"You knew about this, didn't you?" The blue eyed girl asked the amber eyed boy in front of her, much to his surprise.
"Wh... what do you mean?" He asked.
"You knew he would die, didn't you?" The red, swollen eyes of the pale skinned girl looked at him, accusing him.
Tyrone could only swallow the lump in his throat, before exiting without looking back at his sister, who got the answer she was looking for. How could he do this to them? He could have warned them, so that they would have stayed extra careful, or merged before all this happened. He had been the one to tell them not to merge, knowing very well that one will die! Why? Why did he do this? She wanted answers. Who's side was he on?
