Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 36

The rays of the sun creapt up on Trinitys face, announcing the arrival of a new morning. She stired a bit before opening her eyes to the sight of ash blonde hair and a majestic back facing her, the peaceful raise and fall indicating deep sleep. The lower half of his body covered with a blanket, hiding his nudity.

She smiled at the sight of him, and slowly got out of bed, pulling another blanket over herself to hid her nude body before grabbing a towel. She needed to bathe,to remove the scent of last night, as she knew all the other dragons will be able to smell them, and she didn't need any teasing.

The warm water felt so good, as all the pain melted away, and the smell of lavender filled the air. She finally felt whole.

"Good morning, beautiful!"

Trinity whipped her head towards the voice, her brown eyes meeting a pair of amber colored ones. Her cheeks flushed red, as she replied, "good morning."

She was wrapped in her towel, and had a towel wrapped around her head. She looked anything but beautiful, but she felt like a Greek Goddess. The look if love that radiadiated from her mate made her feel like Bella Hadid, though she would never in a million years come close to her beauty.

"Are you OK?"

"Uumm, OK?" Trinity looked confused.

"I mean, you're not in any pain, I hope?"

"No...no, I'm OK. I feel amazing.." Trinity said, looking into the sparkling amber pearls staring back at her, as she inched closer. "You were amazing."

"Ready for round two?."

Trinity stared with her mouth open. Yes, last night was amazing, but there was no way she wanted to do this again, at least not now!

"Relax! I'm just kidding," Tyrone chuckled. "I have to go bath and we'll get something to eat together, so wait for me." Tyrone slipped of the bed, grabbed a towel and made his way to the bathroom, loosing the blanket as he entered.

"I don't believe it! My own brother hid this from me!" Eric spat. After knowing about him being a knight, all he could think about was how Taylor had just pushed his friends and himself into this danger.

"Master Eric, Mr King was just trying to ... he didn't believe that it's a real video!" Henry said, trying to calm him down.

"Trying to what? Protect me? Is that what you were about to say, Henry?" The blue eyed boy stared at the man in front of him intently. The older man lowered his gaze, unable to reply. "Look at what his 'protecting' got me into!." Looking at Abigail and Susan, he continued, "and look at them; they are dying because of me, and there is nothing I can do about it." Tears rolled down his eyes.

A knock on the door caught their attention.

"Are you one of them? A dragon?" He asked.

"Not me, but she is!.. and she's also the one who saved your life!" Dorin said with a smile,as she walked in with Dr Elise. Henry gave them some space, but kept near, silently observing.

"What do you all want from me?"

"We just want you to get well. We are both doctors, and will make sure that all three of you walk out of here alive. Oh, I'm Dr Dorin and she's Dr Elise, by the way," Dorin introduced themselves.

"What is the last thing you remember?" Dr Elise asked, trying to get her patients pulse.

"Don't touch me!" Eric jerked his arm away, leaving the poor doctor stunned. She quickly apologized and stood straight, looking at her partner. With a silent nod, she walked out.

"How are you feeling?" Dorin asked, holding his wrist up.

"I feel better. Where am I?"

"At my home."

"How did I get here?"

"What is the last thing you remember?" Dorin repeated her fellow doctors question.

She had to know Eric's last memory, to determine what to say next. She will eventually have to tell him that though she may not be a dragon herself, but her daughter is one and she along with her friends helped them escape.

"We were in a dungeon with another girl who volunteered to... watch us? Or do something...but at night, she... she ...you won't believe me! She changed into a DRAGON! A HUGE FUCKIN DRAGON!" As he said that, Dorin noted that his pulse raised, making her realize he was still terrified by them. "She burned through the iron bars like... like... you know? A knife through a cake... and she turned to us and...and grabbed us and... and flew out of there. We got burnt, but she didn't care... that's all I remember."

"So you mean she could have easily killed you, but instead, saved you all?" Dorin stared into the boys eyes, that was as huge as saucers. Her calm eyes made him calm down.

"She almost killed us!"

"But she didn't. You have to understand that she only wanted to save you and your friends."

"You're taking her side as though you know her?" Eric's eyes searched Dorins face for answers.

Before she could say anything, they heard stirring from the other beds. Abigail and Susan were gaining consciousness. Breathing a sigh of relief, Dorin rushed by their side. She is not ready to explain to these kids about Trinity, her daughter, being a dragon as it might scare them further. Her first priority right now was to make sure that they recover and get going as soon as possible, before they are attacked by the Dragon Lord and his army.

As a witch, she'd learnt that Ryphonsus was the largest and meanest dragon of all, and a prophecy had been whispered through all their covens that one day, a child will be born with the power to wield all five elements and only that child will hold the power to destroy this monster once and for all. They didn't have time to search for her, neither could they locate her through any spells. It's almost like Alexandra herself is protecting her and will only reveal her when the time is right. She never had the chance to tell Trinity this prophecy, but she should have... maybe they, the dragons would have found a way to search for her.
