Chereads / What's wrong with me? / Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 34

Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 34

As everyone sang the happy birthday song, Trinity felt an overwhelming sense of happiness and sadness. Happiness that she wasn't alone and still had her family and friends close by her; and sad that the one person who she had wanted by her side will never see her again.

The cool afternoon breeze blew the sweet scent of wild flowers and the wonderful aroma of the cake that sat on the table, waiting for the sharp edge of the knife to slice through it, while the flames on the candle danced with the air. The sun slowly made its way to the horizon, ready to go and rest for the day.

Trinity, making a wish, blew out the candles and the crowd clapped and cheared, and she sliced the first peice of cake, giving the first bite to her brother, as was always done, than one by one she gave a bite to Tyrone, Dorinand Patrick.

The cake and juice were served to all the guests and then came time for dancing. Tyrone bowed in front of Trinity and held out his hand for her to take, while the crowd waited silently, ready to chear or join them on the dance floor.

Trinity blushed a little and took her partner's hand and walked to the center stage. As the music began, Tyrone pulled Trinity toward himself and as their eyes met, they both drowned into each other, letting their body guide them. Soon everyone joined them, with Patrick and Dorin being first, then followed by all other couples.

At around eight pm, the music went down, and as everyone stopped to look at the dj, Patrick took the mic and announced, "Attention everyone, you are all requested to join us for dinner, than the dances and drinks will begin again. We need something to energize ourselves first."

By now it was dark outside and as everyone made their way inside, Tyrone pulled his mate aside and gave her an unexpected kiss on her lips before letting go. "What was that," she asked surprised.

"I wanted to do something like this for a long time. Now I can because you just turned eighteen." Tyrone was smirking, looking at Trinity up and down.

In an instance, Trinity knew that he was thinking of something more than just kissing, and smiling, she said,"oh? And here I thought you'd be thinking of something more."She smiled flirtatiously and the grin on Tyrones face became bigger.

"You look absolutely stunning today," he said in a flirtatious tone.

"And here I thought I looked stunning everyday." She looked to the side and wanted to slip away, before someone realizes they were missing and came looking for them, but Tyrone held her hand and came closer than expected.

He had never acted like this, but than Trinity had also never felt like this before. There was a different scent in the air, an aroma of delicious fruit like scent. Something was different, something that made Trinity want to lead him into her bed, then jump on him.

"Hey! What are you too doing here? The others are looking for you." Derek's voice broke the trance and they both followed the younger boy to the dinning area.

"Where were you two?" Dorin asked her daughter, as she took her seat.

"Sorry, just...." Trinity blushed as she thought of what had happened outside. Her eyes looked at Tyrone, and she could see him looking at her, smiling.

The food was all set on the table, and there were servers helping serve the guests, walking around with dishes the people wanted, but couldn't reach.

Dragonia was stirring inside Trinity, and she knew that something was wrong. She needed to ask someone what was going on, before she does something she'll regret.

'Stacey, I need to ask you something'

'What is it' Stacey asked through the mindlink, in a surprised tone.

'Something's not right. I feel like... you know...'

'Having sex?'

Trinity could feel herself blush. She looked at Stacey with a frown, only to see her smiling.

'Well Trin, this is called heat.' Stacey began explaining, while eating and smiling at the others. 'This happens when a pair who have marked each other turns eighteen or older. This is a way of your body to tell you it's ready for having children.'

'Great!' The irony in Trinity's voice was so evident, that Stacey looked towards her just in time to see her rolling her eyes. 'How do I get over this without having sex?'

'You can't. At least I've heard that it's very difficult especially it your mate is around you. And in case you've forgotten, Tyrone is right here.' As if on queue, she looked to him, and saw him staring at her. She already knew that her mate was smart enough to know that she was talking via mindlink with Stacey.

The entire table was abuzz with chatting and laughing, but Trinity's mind drifted off to the sweet smell that brushed against her nose, the intoxicating smell of her mate. She realized that Tyrone had never attempted anything of this sort before, and knew that it was the mate pull that was making them go crazy. No matter how hard she tried to distract herself, she couldn't. She even tried thinking of the Dragon Lord and his army, but her mind quickly made its way back to her love.

"Oh God, please help me, I don't want to loose my virginity like this, and if I'm not able to distract myself I might not be able to control myself," she made a silent plea.

As if on queue, a shout came from the door on the other side, "They're dragons..."

The entire place went silent, as all heads turned to look towards the voice. Eric stood at the door and with trembling hands, he pointed at Trinity and all her friends. He looked really skinny and pale, and looked more like a vampire than a human. "They're real dragons."

The crowd began to whisper amongst themselves, clearly they had also seen the video of the black dragon flying above the trees. The video had been deleted, but not before several shares.

Dorin immediately got off her seat and went to the boy, asking him to calm down, but now the bigger question among the people sitting at the table was why was there a boy in this state in Patrick's house? What were they hiding?

Tyrone, taking out his phone, walked to the other door, that lead outside, dialing someone.

Clearly everyone understood that the party was over, and finishing up quickly, they themselves and one family after another left.

So much for a 'little' distraction.
