The afternoon sun shone on Tyrones' face as he stared into space. He was still thinking about their argument, and he knew that Stacey had only tried to stop them from burning down the house, but he couldn't control his anger. He'd always been a calm person, but when it came his mate, he was really fierce.
Trinity didn't understand this world. Being brought up in the human world, she didn't comprehend the severity and ruthlessness of this world; a world where no one is your friend, everyone looks after themselves, and wouldn't hesitate to stab another in the back, and blame someone else.
The bench that he sat on felt hard, and the rocks and crashing waves below seemed to be calling to him. He knew the easiest way for him to calm himself down was by swimming, but it was forbidden for anyone to jump off the cliff without supervision, and none of the elder dragons were there.
As he looked towards the horizon, he noticed that the sun was now setting, meaning that he had been sitting there for hours.

"Sta-" "I've to go," saying that, Stacey turned around and left. Trinity felt bad, but knew that it would be of no use trying to stop her or apologize on her mates behalf, so she didn't say anything and just let her go. What she wanted to know was what Tyrone had meant when he said 'Your own status'.
She wanted to go look for Tyrone, but decided against it, as she was afraid they'd start another fight. He might need some alone time, and she could have some time to herself.
She picked up her phone, and dialed her mom's number, which immediately started saying, "This number may be...". She cut the line and dialed her clinic.
"Hello, doctor Dorins' office, this is Amanda, how may I assist you?"
"Hey Amanda, I'm Trinity... is-" she began, but was cut short by, "Trinity? as in Trinity Grove? oh my goodness, I'll connect you..."
"Is she free?" Trinity asked.
"I'll check."
There was a few minutes of silence, than, "Rin? is it really you?". Dorins' voice sounded shocked.
Hearing her mother's voice made Trinity get emotional. She didn't know what to say. gathering up her confidence, she finally replied, "Hey mom."
"Rin, how are you honey?" Her voice was filled with relief and happiness.
"I'm good, mom. How's Patrick and Derek?".
"They're good. They miss you so much. How's your father? He's taking good care of you, I hope?"
The question that Trinity wanted to avoid had come. How could she tell her mom that... Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt the wound of the lose being scratched. Sensing something wrong Dorin asked, "Is everything alright?"
"No mom," Trinity said, sobbing. "He...He... I lost him, mom. He died trying to save me."
She told her everything, from the time they left till now. Dorin listened patiently, as tears also rolled down her face. They both spoke for hours, both sharing their lives journey. Trinity learnt that they were able to rebuild their house after they managed to get the insurance. Dorin learnt about Tyrone, and Martha and the dragons, but Trinity was careful to not tell her anything about the morning meeting.
"You know, you can come back anytime you want; the doors of this house will always be open," Dorin said, sensing something was wrong.
"I know mom, I love you. I have to go now. Bye; and give my regards to Derek and Patrick. Tell them I miss them too."
"Bye sweetheart. Stay safe and take care."
With that, the call ended and Trinity felt better.
She took a hot shower and looked out the window to see that it was already twilight. Now she was worried about Tyrone. It was almost 6.30pm and she went to the dinning area in the hopes that he would be there, but he wasn't.
She looked around for abit, and it didn't help that he had blocked his mind so she couldn't mindlink him. After searching for him for an hour, she finally decided to return to his room, only to find it empty. She was now beginning to get worried as she didn't know what to do. She didn't even know many dragons. She than remembered Emeralda. 'Hey Emeralda, is Tyrone with you guys?' she mindlinked her.
'No. The last we saw him was during the dinner with you both. Why? I mean is everything alright?' came the reply.
'Yeah, everything's fine. He's not in his room so I thought I'd check. I couldn't mindlink him, so...'
'OK, don't worry, I'll check with our water gang and let you know.'
'Thanks.'
After a few minutes, Trinity got a mindlink from Emeralda, saying, 'Hey Trinity, Ty's at the pond near the eastern river.'
'Oh, thank you Emeralda. I owe you one. Thank you so much.' saying that she ran out of the room and out of the door of the castle. The problem now was that she didn't know which way was east. She asked the first dragon she saw, and he was kind enough to point the direction.
After a long walk in the dark, she finally reached the pond. "Ty? You here?" She called out when she couldn't see anyone. The place looked still. Very still. Something about this place wasn't right, and it made her feel scared and uncomfortable. "Ty?" She called out again.
"If this is some kind of joke, it's not funny."
Just than, someone grabbed her from behind, his hand on her mouth, preventing her from screaming for help, and she was dragged towards a huge tree, while she kicked and tried to get free.
'Trinity, it me Tyrone. Stop struggling.' her mate finally mindlinked her. She calmed down as the hand slowly lifted. She turned to face him, but before she could say anything, Tyrone put a finger on his lip, as a sign of 'be quiet'.
She followed his gaze towards the fence. At first, she couldn't see anything, but than, out of nowhere, she heard a voice whispering, "I heard something. I think one is Ty, and the other is probably a girl."
"Can you see them?" another voice came.
"No, but they sounded human; not dragons."
"Dragons don't exist. You're going to get us killed by some humans," came a third voice.
'They're probably some human teens who came here looking for dragons. They don't even know if we exist or not. If you allow me, I'll talk with them...' Trinity said through her mindlink. 'And say what?' Tyrone asked. 'Hey guys, I'm a dragon but in human form?' The sarcasm in Tyrones' voice felt like a bee sting.
"Hey? Anyone here?" Called the first voice.
"Susan! What are you doing?" came a loud whisper.
"I'm trying to see if someone else is here. Maybe they can help us find the..." Susan began, but was interrupted by the third person, "Sue, Abby, will you two stop it. We don't know about this place and Sue, we don't know who's out here so we cannot go around driving attention to ourselves."
"But Eric..." "No buts. We have to get going."
"But he said he'll pay us millions for a clue of dragons existence," Abby reminded her male companion.
"We can come back tomorrow."
Trinity and Tyrone waited for a while before slowly but carefully walking back towards the castle. They only spoke when they were in their room.
"Who were they?" Trinity slowly asked. She realized that had Tyrone not been there, she'd have given away their prove of existence and by now, 'he' would have known, and God knows what would have happened to them.
"I don't know, but it's a huge problem. We must inform the council," Tyrone replied, already making his way out.
"Wait! I'll come with you."
