Charlotte's POV
"Have a nice day", I smiled as the customer took his drinks.
As soon as the customer left, I ran towards the door and switched the 'open' sign to 'close'. With that, I ran back to my counter and started cleaning up.
"It should be somewhere around here", I looked at the messy cabinet and went through it by putting aside useless things.
Two huge boxes were piled up by the counter with some small boxes were placed around it. Whoever might think that I'm moving out but instead...I was just throwing away useless things.
"Even this broken mixer is still here!?", I looked at an old mixer in disbelief. I wrapped the mixer and small things with plastic then proceeded to put them in the box.
I moved back my gaze into the cabinet and started to take out whatever was in there. It's just unbelievable that I still had some broken equipment.
RING!
The sound of the bell had me stopped from doing my things and looked up to see a tall figure, leaned in a little, and looked at me.
"I'm sorry but, we are closed", lifting the box and put it on the counter, I looked at the male.
Oh, Noel?!
"About that day.."
"Oh, right, I thought that you have forgotten about that since three days ago you kept on saying that I might have mistaken you for someone else", I blabbered, "I almost doubt my memory"
"Three days ago?"
I nodded, "I'll serve your order after I get this thing out, Noel", I went towards the entrance, taking the box out with me.
Pushing the door with my right arm, I walked out carefully, trying to avoid any accident that might occur since I'm such a—, "Eh?!"
"Gotcha!"
As I said, I am such a clumsy person, and I have just stumbled on my own foot. Nice timing to whoever prevented me from meeting the hard concrete.
"Thank you so much, I might have—wait! Noel?", I widened my eyes perfectly.
"Heya, need some help?"
"Wait, weren't you?", I looked behind and yep another Noel was still standing there, by the counter, with his phone.
"Hmm?", the person that was standing right in front of me took a glance behind me, "Ah, so that's why", he smiled and went in, leaving me dumbfounded.
"What? Two Noel? What is happening?", I walked slowly with my gaze still fixing on them.
But, kids, always look at where you are going to, not the opposite or else you would hit whatever was in front of you, like now.
"Argh, silly pole! Since when were you standing there!", I complained, "And didn't he offer me a hand? How dare he leave me here! It's supposed that a man helps a woman that was almost got into an accident. Well, drama is just a drama", I grumbled, knowing that reality is just a cruel place to live
Noel's POV
I walked into the cafe as Leon turned over. With his expressionless face, he turned back facing the counter.
"Is that how a big brother greeting his little bro?"
"We're just two minutes apart"
"I'm hurt, I was hoping for a sweet and caring brother, but here I got a robot brother"
"It was you", he paused for a sec and faced me, then continued, "Three days ago"
Straightforward as always, "You didn't tell me you're coming back"
"I don't have the obligation to report it to you"
"Well, at least if I know, I wouldn't let her getting confused like just now", I said.
"Sorry for the wait", Charlotte zoomed in, "So..?", confusion was well-written on her face.
"This person is Leon, my two minutes apart brother", giving stress on the 'two minutes' words, "He took a year off and didn't tell me that he's back, that's why I told you that you might have mistaken me with someone else"
"Now it all makes sense! Geez, you guys made me think that I'm suffering from Alzheimer", Charlotte ruffled her own hair.
"Oh, poor young soul", I teased.
"You think it's funny?", Charlotte snapped, "That's why I thought you have DID"
I burst into laughter, "This girl is something, isn't she?", I slapped my brother's right shoulder, but as awkward as he is, he remained unbothered.
"Could I have my order?", Leon asked.
Charlotte sighed, "It has passed my working hour, I should go to the university now", she pulled the robe off her apron behind her back.
"I thought that you owe me something", Leon said.
Charlotte remained silent for a while then let out a pretty big sigh. She tied back her apron and take a tall-sized plastic cup, "The bread and cakes are sold, do—"
"I can have it another day", he cut her words, the annoyed looked was clearly plastered on Charlotte's face, what a sight.
The coffee machine was started. She put the ice into the cup up to 3/4. Then, pour the water into the glass and got two shots of espresso. She finished it by stirring it gently and took out a dome lid. Sealing the cup and piercing it with a straw.
"Here you go, one Iced Americano", Charlotte handed him the drink.
"Hey, Lotie, aren't you going to make me a drink?"
"I told you to not call me Lotie", she was ready to untie her apron when I stopped her hand.
"In return, I'll help you with that", I pointed to a huge box that was laid next to the cabinet.
"But, you still have to pay", she got a tall-sized cup out from the cabinet.
"Aren't you going to ask me what to have?"
"Iced Americano is enough"
"The definition of parsimonious fits you well", I mocked as I lifted the box.
"Thanks for the compliment", she stayed focus on her job.
What a hard person.
My gaze was moved towards Leon that was sitting right in front of the counter.
"Aren't you going back?"
"We're going together"
"Suddenly?"
"He called"
Third Person's POV
"Here, your Iced Americano"
"Thanks"
"Look at the time", Charlotte quickly took off her apron and took her bag also books, "You should be responsible if I am late for my class"
"Anything for you, Lotie", Noel smirked.
"Stop calling me that"
"But your friend calls you that", he argued.
"It's been only three days since I know you, so basically we're stranger", Charlotte repelled.
"I thought we are friends"
"An annoying stranger can't be called a friend", she said as they walked out of the cafe.
"I'm not"
"You've been bothering me for the first three days", Charlotte locked the door.
"That's rude"
"Who says who", Charlotte snapped back, then she looked at her watch, "I should go now"
"See you tomorrow", Noel waved.
"Just don't come!", with that, she ran away.
"She uses her nickname as the cafe's name, why am I not allowed to call her with that", Noel shook his head, feeling ridiculous.
"What a strange guy"
"Are you mocking me?"
"I know that you are a social butterfly but not to girls", Leon took a sip on his drink, "I even thought that you hate them"
"Can't you see that she's unique?", Noel ruffled his hair back.
"No"
"As expected", Noel shrugged, "Actually, she kind of reminds me of someone familiar"
His sentence got Leon's attention.
"Anyway, why did he call again? I am doing my jobs, okay!?"
"Not just you, but all of us are"
