Stella didn't know what to say on this, this was not what she had thought she would hear.
"Let me get this straight for you. Your late elder uncle Cairo passed away in an incident. No one expected that to happen. Than we came here."
Stella was a bit of surprise to hear this because she didn't remember her father mentioning his older brother when they live together or much of any other relatives of him.
"The legacy of our family has been passed from one generation to another over the passed years with some children being a special one and that's you too Stella". Stella's father looked into her eyes with seriousness.
"We have notice this signs in you when you where just somewhat 5-6 years old, at that time we had been staying in xx wishing to have a simple life away and left from here.
When you have been born it was the happiest moment for us in our life. When we got to know about you being special at that time we didn't know if we should be happy or sad as we thought it would affect you, and it did as the time passed.
So we got here to meet your elder uncle Cairo, to see if he could do anything and he did so, but that was for only temporary period. As for what he did would only fade away as the time passes. Your elder uncle had made you lost some of your memories where you had used you power unknowingly and the memories of you coming here, but now that must have coming back to you again." Stella's father said.
Stella was speechless. It was like she was listening a story.
"We got back again and started to live like any another family without any worry when you lost your power. But after a few months we got a message saying that your elder uncle was no more, your Uncle...he..he was murdered". Stella's father paused to which her mother continued seeing Stella's father getting emotional remembering the memory and loss of his dear brother.
"We left you in the care of aunt Delia thinking that we would be back to you later after settling down everything properly here, but things got messed up here that we couldn't come back to you, and we couldn't bring you here with us. Also because if the enemy get to know about your existence they would have also tried to kill you, as you have signs of the power with you like your elder uncle. If anything has to happen when you are alone by yourself you would not have been able to protect yourself without your power." Her mother voice broken at the end.
Stella was shocked hearing this. She now understood why she felt the scene of déjà vu when she got here. It is the memory she had lost.
"You where 7 years old and had also lost you power for few years and the enemy being in the dark we could only keep you away from this all. So we hide your existence, but now you power coming back we can no longer kept your existence a secret anymore. We had always waited for you to be back to us." Her mother said while taking both her had in hers. "Please understand and forgive us and come back to us."
Stella was spaced out this felt so much new to her. Remembering the time she had spent with them. She looked at her parents anticipating, earnest, loving and logging eyes and couldn't help but node.
Her small movement had brightened up her parents happiness.
Unable to control herself Stella's mother hugged Stella tightly making Stella go frozen she was not use to such intimacy.
What was she supposed to do.....
In her confusion they heard a knock at the door and Stephen walked in with a grave face. Stella's father got up to talk to him.
Stella couldn't hear anything what they were talking about. She excused herself to get some fresh air and left the three of them in the room.
In few short minutes, there were so many twists and turns that her brain was completely fried….
In the room..
"Did you tell her?" Stephen asked after talking on the matter he had come here to tell them.
"We tried, but we couldn't bear to tell her that, she had just returned and now this. She must also need some time to adjust too". Stella's mom said.
"We won't force her into anything. In the last it is hers decision to take, not anyone else". Stella's father said consoling Stella's mother.

After taking a small stroll Stella returned to her room. She had thought when she meets her parents she would say this and that and whatever she had prepared for. But in the last all she could do was to nod. But Stella didn't regret it they had done everything for her sake too. In a fit she punched the pillows.
When Stella's bedroom door open and Ayla entered to see Stella punching the pillow. Ayla come closer to Stella and hug her thinking Stella was mad on something that her parent told her.
Stella was surprised when someone hug her suddenly but smoothen down when she realizes it was none other than Ayla when she heard her voice.
"Stella don't be mad, they just wanted to protect their precious treasure, you. And about Darren he is really a great person. He would be always their for you. He might be cold and aloof and pretty strange sometimes , but he's really the best person out there for you…..". Ayla just blabbered everything she could ,wanting to make Stella feel better, but that was making Stella only go confuse.
"What?". Stella ask breaking the hug, so she could see Ayla face to face.
The first sentence made sense to her, but the other went off track for her.
Ayla realizing something went wrong stared at Stella, 'She didn't know. Uncle and aunt didn't tell her about this yet. Was Stella not supposed to know this.'. Realization hit her and now she was doom.

"'What', what?". Ayla repeated blinking her eyes.
"What did you say?". Stella asked again.
"You are precious for us". Ayla said and then added, "I forgot I have something to do let's talk later". Saying this Ayla hastily moved toward the door wanting to escape from this dreadful situation that she had brought upon herself.
There is Darren to protect Stella, but she had no one to protect her. If she put the cat out of bag which she supposed is to not happen. She had accidentally heard about Stella's marriage with Darren, but no one has told her that yet.
Before Ayla could reach the door Stella grabbed her hand from behind stopping Ayla's hurried steep advancing any further.
"Not that, after that". Stella said.
"We are always their for you. You are the best". Ayla said mustering a small smile that she could. ¶∆¶
"No, nothing like that, you said 'Darren' ". Stella said. The smile that Ayla was working hard to keep on her face finally falls and she wished the ground break and swallow her in.
What had she got herself into. She wished she would suffer form short term memory loss, so this would have not happened.
