3The days of Saturday and Sunday went by fast, and the day of the ceremony came quickly. Jason got up at 4 am that day to take his ceremony suit from the dryer, and iron them.
Before it was even time to go, he was already ready to go. Kandice and Trisha however, both took 1 hour to get ready which made them leave later than Jason expected. When they were in the cat, Kandice was shouting with pride "My brother's gonna be ranger, and he's gonna kick some butt!
"Your 14 Kandice, could you be more mature?" Jason asked with a happy tone.
"No wonder you don't have a boyfriend yet, you're always talking!" Trisha added with a grin on her face.
"Oh, mum could you please stop with the boyfriend thing!"
In no time, they got to the city Hall. This was where his school as well as many others were supposed to pass their test.
This ceremony takes 7 days. 18 schools divide themselves into 6 groups and each group are supposed to meet at a specific place with their students to pass the test. Jason's school was Lucky enough to be chosen on the first day when and in the most crowded area out of the 6.
The mayor himself joined the ceremony in the city Hall and he was the announcing the opening of the event.
"Good morning dear parents and teenagers!" he started, "welcome to the blessing ceremony, in which you are going to find out what your blessing is. Last year, our percentage of blessed students in England was 48%. That is the biggest percentage in history and we expect it to go up. So I will be shouting out the student's names, and they will come on the stage where they will enter this machine right behind me.
"This machine will act like a catalyst which will awake your power and it will evaluate the level of your elemental. the level scale is from 0 to 10,000. So, first up, A student from Norman line school, Paul Brian!.
Paul Brian came on stage and they asked him to enter the machine. Once he entered the machine, people old see a chemical reaction happening in the machine and it suddenly stopped. On the top of the machine, is showed that Brian's elemental was fire, and his elementals level was 6578.
Everyone was astonished by the boy's elemental level, and they all clapped for him. "Incredible!" the mayor said with excitement, "we have got a little prodigy among us! This is the highest score we have seen in the past two years!
Paul Brian went back to his place and his family did not seem very surprised with the results. They felt like he was destined to be powerful and to excel in everything.
More students passed, and many of them were hitting 2567, 1000, 3780, but none of them even reached 4000. Until Ella Richards comes on stage and proves everyone wrong. Jason and the others spectators, including Paul Brian and his family, were shocked when seeing her results.
"I-I-Impossible..." The mayor said in an astonished tone, "how can someone reach such high results? Well, l everyone, it seems Ella Richards has broken our record with the elemental of wind and an elemental level of 9600!!!!!"
It was a miracle, no one believed Ella was that talented, however, facts show that she had the highest elemental level in history. A bunch of more students from Jason's school passed with Ian hitting an exceptional 5561 elemental level with the elemental of metal. The only person left was Jason to get his results. Only 87 of the 289 students were considered normal humans. There was no chance of him being a normal human being. Well, that's what he hoped...
He saw Chris Hanfield on the side of the stage giving him a thumbs up from where he was seated, so he stood up, and walked slowly towards the stage. Once he was on the stage, the mayor introduced him.
"For our last student, straight from Saint Alphonsus school, please welcome Jason Cooper!
Everyone clapped for him, and the one who was in charge of controlling the machine told him to go inside the tube. When he was in front of the entrance, he took a deep breath and went inside. Once he was well placed, the machine started.
He could feel his whole body vibrating, and he started to levitate. He closed his eyes because he was stressed about the outcome, and tightened his teeth.
About 10 seconds went by and he was right back on the ground. He slowly opened his eyes, and he saw that once again, the audience was silent and astonished. He thought he had failed, but when he heard the machine, he could not believe his ears...
[Jason Cooper
Age: 16 years and two months
Elemental: Water
Elemental level: 9200]
The crowd started to give a round of applause for Jason who was himself surprised by his elemental level.
"Another prodigy from the saint Alphonsus school!!!!" the mayor exclaimed, " We have four students with an elemental level higher than 5000. What an outcome, this might be our most prosperous class!
Once the ceremony was over, Jason and his family headed home and they held a big party with his other family members. They were all chanting "Jason our prodigy make us proud, bring glory to our family our prodigy!!!!!!!
It was such a bad and noisy song that Jason went to the roof of his house to look at the stars and think of how lucky he is. 'Some in our school didn't even manage to get an elemental, but here I am, in possession of an elemental and a ridiculously high elemental power. *sighs* I shouldn't be thinking about it. It's not like they are going to die or something. I hold be thinking of what school I am going to attend...
Suddenly, he saw a black Mercedes Benz stop right in front of his house. He wondered who it was until he saw Chris Hanfield come out of the back seat.
"Hans!" he shouted while he jumped off the roof and landed on the lawn. "I saw your stats Kid!" Hans told Jason
"Yeah, they are incredible indeed..." Jason replied.
Hans looked at Jason with an s.ile on his face and said "Don't get ahead of yourself though. Your father didn't have a high elemental level, but he worked hard, so hard work always beats talent, you hear me?"
"Yes sir!"
"Well then, I was only here to congratulate you kid, unfortunately, I have a meeting in about 30 minutes," Hans told Jason while checking his watch.
"Don't worry, I understand, you're a celebrity, so you got a lot of things to do," Jason said with a slight smile on his face.
"I'll make it up to you kid" Hans replied while reaching for the car door.
Jason then went into the house and partied with his family until late. That day, he drunk his first beer, and he was so dizzy he went to sleep before everyone else. It was a noisy and messy party that Jason will always remember.
